we removed some items, donated them, leveled the mobile home as best as we could, & cleaned up...

celebrating 65 years: Elektrėnai

today starts a 3-day celebration of 65 years for Elektrėnai; so, we had a lil date midday to celebrate... there will be concerts, children's activities, food, swimming, & a lot of fun... summer activities are being set up on #elektrenaireservoir for everyone to enjoy... i LOVE the family atmosphere here!

What did you use to learn the language? I can't find any resources and am trying to learn the language too haha

i haven't learned the language yet... i'll be starting soon, you can use Mondly, it has a Lithuanian module.

an adventure begins!

our home has arrived... we are starting our journey to home ownership & eventual off-grid living with a solar system (but, that is further down the road)... we all need to start somewhere...

a new adventure begins...

we have had land now for about 3 years but have found it difficult to obtain a home without going deep into debt... so, here we are - a new to us home... we will be creating a new home for ourselves with the goal of being self-sustaining...

on moving away from the US...

i moved from the US to Lithuania 5 years ago... in doing so, i left behind my entire family ~ this has been a huge change for me, as i saw my family on a daily basis for what then seemed like an eternity... they brought me joy & happiness each day... watching them grow, learn, love, & even seeing them through heartbreak & loss... it is a beautiful experience to love others as well as to let them go... i love them & miss them immensely...

although, when moving to Lithuania ~ i feel a peace here that i never felt in the US... i feel at home ~ thankfully, we have hold several homes within our hearts & souls... a place that fills us up...

LIthuania is my home, even though i am not Lithuanian - i am at home...

new adventure...

a new adventure is beginning... we are prepping our land for a home as well as gardens for a food source & sustainability... there is a lot of anticipation, excitement, & anxiety; but, we will have a home of our own...
