He smiled as she agreed to go with him. Someone with no where to go and a desire for company was sure to make the road much more interesting. He downed his drink in one go and slammed the mug on the table.

"Great! Maybe we can teach you an instrument or two and you can play some shows with me. It's how I make my money at the moment." He told her, turning his chair around to face the proper way now before resting his arms and head on the table.

"By the way. I'm Toby~" He told her with a mischievous looking grin, as if there was some plot developing behind those green eyes of his.

His charm was bringing her in. It didn't help that she had been alone most of her life. The loneliness of being a noble's daughter to the unadulterated loneliness she felt now being cast out and alone in the world with just her staff to keep her company. Having anyone pay her attention was enough for her to do whatever they wanted.

"Honestly? I...don't know where I'm going at the moment. I left home and just kept walking." As he leaned closer her cheeks began to turn a soft pink. "W-well, I don't have anything else to do so why not."

The two guards glanced to each other for a moment before looking back to the traveler before them. Hujan watched with a careful eye. She seemed unimposing enough. This could be interesting, or another very boring part of her day.

"What are you coming in for? We're keeping track of everyone coming in and out for the time being. Lots of criminals been popping up so this is how we're keeping folk accountable." One stated. He was clearly taking his job much too seriously.

"Bold of you to assume this one could do something worth your time." Hujan mused from behind them. The two glanced back at him and shifted uneasily before looking back to her.

"Name please. And length of stay."

Stretching her arms above her head the road was finally coming to a close. A town, city maybe, she couldn't tell. Either way, it was a place that she could get warm food and a bed to sleep on tonight. As she walked, her sword and potions clinking against her made her drop her hands back to her sides with a small frown. Slowing her stride, Myra regarded the guards with a smile, attempting to pass, but getting stopped by their weaponry. Crossing her eyes to look at the blade, she moved her gaze to the guard holding it before taking a few steps backwards. "Right, uh... Hi. This place under lock-down, or something?" She looked between the two of them with the kindest smile she could produced, one that was practiced and as trained as much as her sword. "Any other reason I can't enter?" she concluded with the silence the two gave off.

He took a second to mull over what she said. Perhaps she didn't have many stories, but that didn't mean she had none. That simply meant she probably had some secrets. Toby believed the most valuable form of currency in the world was information, and now he was drawn to the idea of learning said info.

"Well. Forgive me if this sounds forward, but perhaps we could make some stories of our own~" He told her, smiling slyly at her as he took another sip of his drink. "Where are you going? Travelling anywhere? If you are, being out in the wilderness alone is dangerous. I got places to be and usually have to find a small group willing to let me travel with them." He said, leaning his head closer to her for a bit.

"What do you say? Wanna travel with me?" He asked quietly.

"I don't mind at all, it's nice to have some company but as for stories. I'm not sure I'm the one you should talk to. I'm quiet boring"

Though, that wasn't really true. There were many things about her that she could tell but she had been brought up to not talk about herself. Be a quiet girl. Never even announce her presence to those around her. Kadia tried to hide her noble blood but with the way she looked it was hard to not see it. "I'm afraid you might have to find someone else for that"

"Well that's good. I may know how to sing but I can't fight to save my life~" He said to her, tilting his head to the side, taking in her every feature as they spoke. "Well if you're here all alone, then I hope you don't mind me taking up your very precious time."

He sat himself upright a bit more, glancing over at the bartender and waving them over to bring him a drink. "I'm sure you've got some stories to tell. Usually I'm the one spinning tails and weaving words together, but it's nice to hear others sometimes." He thanked the man who brought him his drink.

"Besides. I gotta get material somehow." He said with a smile as he sipped the ale.

She didn't mind the company, even oblivious to the look on his face. All she wanted was the company. "Pretty? I wouldn't go that far" Though she was. Soft hands that never saw labor, her hair perfectly aligned. A Noble. Or used to be.

"Oh, no, no" That comment brought a soft sweet giggle out of her as she leaned herself on the table. " I don't have anything like that. It's just me"

Toby turned the chair around, sitting in front of her with the back of the seat pressed up against his chest. He rested his arms on the back of the chair before gently placing his chin down on his arms and looked at the girl with a friendly, but ultimately mischievous smirk on his face.

"You're far too pretty to be sitting here all by yourself. I'm not about to turn around and get my ass kicked by your boyfriend or husband anytime soon am I?" He asked her, his eyebrow lifting as he gave her a curious look. It was a bit of a joke, but that was always a concern when he met someone new.

The evenings were her loneliest time. Kadia always seemed to end up sitting alone and watching others in groups having fun. It felt like a knife in her chest. So envious of those that had people around.

She looked up towards him, her eyes so bright compared to the dull lighting in the bar. "I don't need that. Please sit" ah, yes. She was so desperate to talk to someone that she didn't care who came up to her. She moved her staff to the side so he could sit beside her.

Playing in bars was always a great way to earn a little coin and meet new, and beautiful faces. Today was no exception. The warforged was strumming his lute, singing songs for the patrons of a local inn and keeping a keen eye out for anyone he felt he could have a conversation with once it was all over. Sitting alone at one of the tables, he spotted a woman who looked like she needed a little extra company, and so once he finished his last song, Toby approached her and pulled a chair out for himself.

"Mind if I take a seat?" He asked, a dashing smile crossing his face as he looked down at her, emerald green eyes taking in her every feature. "If you need a drink to be spoken to, I can always buy you one of those too." He told her with a gentle chuckle.

It was an early morning today. He woke up, did his morning routine of exercise, and made his way into the streets of the city. Patrol duty as normal again today, typical, boring, and lacking in his favorite thing of any mission. Combat. He was clearly unimpressed, and his already fierce features were only made all the worse by the look on his face. Most people stayed out of his way when they saw him coming. He barely even noticed.

As he made his way to the city gate, he paused, watching as someone was approaching to enter the city. He looked between the two gate keepers and decided to see what was going on here, stepping to the side slightly to watch the interaction go down between this newcomer and the town watch. At least it was something to do for the day.
