How did the Hellsing organization found Masha/what’s her backstory?

For a long time, masha was a nun! She lived in a convent. She was excomunicated from the church after a priest made advances on her, and she refused. In retaliation, the priest lied and said she was a sinner who wasn't fit for her habit, and because of her vow of silence she wasn't really able to properly defend herself. She wandered around for months, when she became involved in a vampire related incident. Walter found her as the only survivor who had taken out a large number of ghouls, and saw potential in her, and with her background at the convent he knew that, aside from her clear combat skills, the domestic duties of a nun would make a great fit for a maid. I think he also wanted to give integra a companion. So he took her in and introduced her, the rest is history!

Does Masha have any hobbies she indulges in outside of work?

Yes she does!!!! I never saw this ask so sorry if its like 2 years old 🩷🫩 her hobbies are pretty domestic, they include knitting, sewing, embroidering, and cooking ^_^ she also has a fondness for animals, and likes going outside and gardening :D
