everytime an animated film fails in the west, people online are quick to blame "animation fans" for not going out to see it and therefore single-handedly causing it's failure, when like, i think the reason these films fail is because the general public didn't go out to see it actually. like i asked both my mom and my 10 year old cousin (who saw the minecraft movie twice) if they wanted to see this film and neither of them were interested, which is probably a more relevant factor i think. that and lack of marketing.
