ALOLA EVERYONE!

I have a special announcement for you all! :D On July 1st I will be hosting a special Livestream for my Birthday: I will start a Let's Play of the original POKEMON MOON!

While illustrating my webcomic "El's Alolan Adventures", I've often been told by a lot of readers that, despite being fans of the comic, they actually aren't familiar with the original story of the Sun & Moon Games the comic is based on! So I'll be starting a playthrough of Pokemon Moon so we can experience the story together!

Now HERE is where you guys get directly involved in the stream: Like many other Pokemon Let's Plays, we will have active images of the pokemon currently in our party on-screen during the gameplay. The idea is that, instead of using the official Pokemon sprite art, YOU GUYS get to draw the Pokemon sprites we'll be using! We need YOUR simple, silly, cute or whacky doodles of ALL Pokemon found in the Alola region! :D And THIS IS HOW WE'RE GONNA DO IT:

HOW TO JOIN

To prevent the potential chaos of everyone drawing the same Pokemon, you will need to join our Discord server to officially apply for a Pokemon you want to draw! We're opening free 1-week trials on my Patreon for the entirety of June, so people can temporarily join our Discord to apply for the event!

We will have a chatroom open where you can share which Pokemon you'd like to draw, but you must list at least 3 alternatives in case the Pokemon of your choice has gotten assigned to someone else!

You mainly need to be on the server for the assignment-period. Once you've gotten a Pokemon assigned, we will send you a friend-request so you can DM us your Sprite, should your free server-trial run out before you finished your entry.

You will have till June 27th to submit your Pokemon sprite! For now we're aiming to cover all Pokemon inhabiting Melemele island, since we will be spending quite some time on that island before moving on to the next!

And since we won't be actively using ALL Pokemon in our Pokemon Moon Let's Play, we will feature EVERY sprite submission with credits in a gallery at the end of the stream! Should we be missing sprites at the end for a Pokemon we end up using, we will simply use the official art of said Pokemon, but we're looking forward to every sprite submission you'll send our way!!

Remember, not every Driftloon has nefarious intentions, but that does not mean it is ok to follow them! Do not follow any Pokemon unless it is one you know or one that is in visible distress, you do not know where the Pokemon is leading you to and there have been increased attacks from wild Pokemon due to this misconception. Remember, stay safe out there!

Unclassified, Unown, unharmed

We were recently given a alphabet of Unown yesterday by a concerned family who found them in their neighborhood. We thank them greatly for bringing them in! Due to unexpected changes in human activity in their cave they resided in, they got confused and wandered out and got lost. We are currently housing them to make sure there are no injuries sustained before we locate a safer environment, assuming that the rest of them aren't in the cave.

It is protocol to move Unown to a new cave until their old one can be marked as a Unown habitat due to their inability to thrive in captivity due to outside stimuli. If there are Unown still remaining in the old cave, we must relocate those too, otherwise the alphabet will get stressed due to the disappearance of the others.

This is less than ideal, but it is what must be done. This ensures that no people or Pokemon get hurt. So far no injuries are found on any of the Unown we have, so we are thankful for the quick work of the family who brought them in! We have had past reports where groups of stranded Unown have gotten hurt from Pokemon they are not meant to encounter and people hitting them with cars or ride Pokemon if they rush into traffic during the daytime.

We will make sure that their cave is marked appropriately so they can once again thrive in their proper habitat!
