Basically me coloring in the sketch commission I got from Atro Avis (I got there permission).
These are based off the list of headcanons I will link with each pictures.
Wild

Mechanical arm is a mix of shekai technically repaired by Zonai.
Secret stone is constantly shifting colors, but mainly stays somewhere between, gold, green or blue.
Hair and skin still stay fare and pale, unknown if it’s natural or from the shrine.
Wind
Tumblr media
Deep tan skin and bleach blond hair (was/is often mistaken for the War’s younger brother)
Eyes are a sea green.
Loves wearing jewelry or anything shiny even if it will be given to Aryll and Grandma later.
Prefers wearing bright color rather than natural colors like greens.
Four
Tumblr media
Skin fare, spends a lot time inside working on weapons.
Eyes are weird, normally a mix of four colors producing a purplish brown, with hints of green and blue.
Off color mark, producing darker skin, purple hair and a red eye whenever the mark hit. (Why he covered so much).
Minish Vaati is mainly purples. Clothing has golden embroidery.
Shadow
Tumblr media
An inversion of the Hero of the Four sword. Darker skin tone, purple hair, red eyes
Has a mark that matches Four revealing another off color. The eye in this part is a purplish brown with hints of purple and red.
Undertone is a purple color.
Wears mostly black, embroidered and metals are silver.
Hope you enjoyed, let me know your thoughts

Linked Universe, Hero of the Four Swords
My headcanons/au ideas
Tumblr media
Art by Atro Avis
Colored Version
Long talk/ideas under the cut. Warning for general violence, soul ripping and death. (Note: I may add stuff overtime but I will never delete from the list).
Twilight. Sky. Legend. Hyrule. Wind. Time. War. Wild.
Four (Minish Cap/Four swords). Other Nicknames: The Smithy, Blacksmith, Short stack, Minish, The Child (hates this), Smith.
Hero Titles: Hero of Hyrule, Hero of the Minish, Hero of the Four Swords, Friend of Shadows, Savor of the Minish Vaati.
God who has claim over his soul: Demise (his hold of the four swords and not breaking his mind shows his power)(Deal with Shadow).
Part of First’s soul: Wisdom/ability to adapt.
History:
Link is just a small boy, his father is a knight, and his grandfather is a blacksmith, the boy is training to be a blacksmith but has learned how to fight by his father. With the festival he and his grandfather are making a special sword for the winner. Meanwhile a little minish named Vaati is corrupted by a dark malice and becomes the villain, turning Ezro into a talking hat and turning Zelda to stone. Link takes his sword and uses Ezro magic to shrink down into the size of a minish to help get into old temples. Link is able to go through the temples and figure out how to stop Vaati and save Zelda. However, he doesn’t kill Vaati, instead it pushes the darkness out of him and locks the darkness away. Minish Vaati is extremely regretful for what happens, crying and everything, it takes Link begging Ezro to not blame the minish.
However the lock on the corrupted doesn’t stay locked for very long. With the help of a dark spirit known as Ganon, Vaati broke out, kidnapping princess Zelda. Link in desperation, pulled the fabled four sword, however the sword broke him into five different pieces, Green, Blue, Red, Vio and the undesirable dark parts, Shadow.
The four are sent on an adventure to rescue their friend Zelda, meanwhile Shadow is taken in by Vaati, slowly being coached into being a monster, one who helps turn Hyrule against the heroes. Vio, playing with his knowledge, joins Shadow's side, mainly to get Shadow to realize what’s going on. However, when Vio realized he didn’t have an option he tried to kill Shadow. Shadow eventually turned against Vaati and Ganon, holding them off for a bit but it eventually ‘killed’ him. They defeated these dark monsters and put the four swords back, but Link was never the same after that. Link made a replica of the four swords, to try and figure out what is wrong with him.
Death: Four knows he will die if he doesn’t fix his soul and ends up hunting for an answer, ending up in an old palace with Shadow. Four’s fractured soul is killing him, Shadow is scared and when a dark voice offers support for one so powerful he survived pulling the four swords, Shadow agrees. With dark magic, Four and Shadow lived but are bound to a dark palace, staying there their soul safe for the one causing it to burn.
Adult timeline: The palace is destroyed in the great flood; the magic being washed away and the soul moves on.
Child timeline: Time takes notice of the Palace but only checks out the front room, however Kishin notices the soul and quickly takes his persona of Oni and reaped them, allowing them to move on.
Downfall timeline: Because of Ganon’s magic takeover of the Palace, feeding deeper the dark magic that protects Four and Shadow. Eventually Legend finds his way to the Palace of the Four Swords. Shadow makes monsters attack Legend and Four is the boss of the dungeon, Legend does win and frees their souls.
Interesting stuff/Headcanons:
Four was gifted a little minish feather after his adventure, he wears it as an earring.
Becoming minish size through magic allowed him to easily understand and speak their language.
Link was only about 10 years old when he went on this adventure, however the minish magic cursed him, mainly his height. After 6 years he looks like he hasn't grown a day.
Link forgave the small minish Vaati, he was a bullied minish and was confused by the whispers of dark magic.
However, because of his time as a dark wizard, Vaati was left alone, so he stays with Four.
Because of this, it doesn’t matter how much of his childhood and innocence is taken away, Four can always see the minish.
When he grabbed the Four sword it actually split him into five parts.
Green was the leadership, thinking cool in battle, the core of Link.
Blue is the courage, bravery, his temper and empathy for friends.
Red is his kindness, compassion, his empathy for strangers.
Vio is his wisdom, logic and just his ability for power.
Shadow is all the negative parts, bitterness, his jealousy and envy, the hatred for having to do these quests. It’s why the magic of the four swords wanted to get rid of him.
When Shadow destroys the dark mirror, it not only ‘destroys’ his form and weakens monster Vaati but makes all the colors scream out in pain.
Four once he puts the sword back is never quite fully right, only realizing the damage after he talks to Minish Vaati.
He’s horrified and tries to look for a way to find or bring back Shadow. Red is hopeful, Vio feels like it’s just wishful thinking.
Shadow is still alive, but now hiding out in four’s shadow, nowhere near enough energy to make a physical form, especially with Four using magic that mirrors the four swords. But using the sword help’s Four have some sense of control.
Missing Shadow, Four cannot feel those missing emotions (like jealousy or bitterness), once where he could feel those, now it’s just empty. Often causing sadness or anger to take its place.
Four is still a blacksmith, after all the bs that he went through, he’s given up any thoughts about being a knight.
Four sometimes stares into mirrors as that is what allowed Shadow to enter the light world, so he hopes that maybe one will allow Shadow to come back.
Because he didn’t spend either of his adventures alone, Four doesn’t like to be alone, generally he will always be around someone.
He’s also a naturally cuddler because of this, so be careful if you fall asleep by him, you may become his teddy bear.
Four seemingly has this weird ability to find small things, like keys or money.
He’s excellent at solving problems between the group, always getting them to talk to each other and hug them out.
Sky once looked at him and started crying, saying he’s sorry about his soul. It very much confused Four, but he knows something up with skyloftan.
Because he can be small, Four also finds out a lot of secrets, he learned about Twi’s secret early on and they decided to keep it between themselves.
Four did tell Time about his ability to split, mainly because some days are bad, and he needs to split and needs someone to cover for him.
Four will typically slip into using We/they pronouns for himself unknowingly. Eventually Time and Twi will say something, and he’ll correct himself.
Four main goal is to find Shadow once again.

And my my, who is this very similar looking fellow

Linked Universe, Hero of the Winds
My headcanons/aus
Tumblr media
Art by Atro Avis
Colored Version.
Long talk/ideas under the cut. Warning for general game violence and kidnapping. (Note: I may add stuff overtime but I will never delete from the list).
Twilight. Sky. Legend. Hyrule. Four. Time. War. Wild.
Wind (Wind Waker/Phantom hourglass). Other Nicknames: The Sailor, Pirate, The baby (hates this), Guppy (hates this as well), Island boy, Ocean child.
Hero’s Title: Hero of the Great Sea, Hero of the Winds, Hero of the Great Sea, Holder of the Wind Waker
God that has claim over his soul: Hylia (for the wisdom to actually find the pieces of the triforce)
Part of First’s soul: Childish Wonder (smallest piece).
History:
Link lived on an island with his sister and grandmother, and had a peaceful life like everyone in the great sea. He was given a green tunic when he turned 12, much to his annoyance. However his sister Aryll was kidnapped on his birthday, taken by a bird monster and he joins up with a pirate by the name of Tetra to get her back.
Through trying to get his sister back he learns that the Gerudo King Ganondorf is back, hunting for the Triforce, the Red king of the seas asks Link to take up the mantle of the hero. To which the young boy does, to make the seas safe for his family. He later learns the man’s reason, a place for his people; however he still tries to kill the hero and the princess. They actually succeed and plan to start another hyrule.
However This plan gets put on the back burner when Tetra and Link run across a ghost ship and Tetra goes missing, causing Link to start another adventure. Link get’s the phantom hourglass and a fairy and they go through the palace of the ocean king. He saved the great seas from the parasite known as Bellum and was finally able to go back home.
Death: Unknown…
Interesting Stuff/Headcanons:
has a sailor mouth from living around pirates. Others don’t let him swear (like grandma) but Time does.
The best thing to heal him is his grandmother’s soup. The chain learns how to cook it when they visit the Great Sea.
Link has a good sense of direction, to the point of it being scary. He doesn’t even need a map; it's like the wind tells him where to go.
Wind deals with a lot of self-doubt, he wasn’t born with the triforce of Courage, he had to find it and put it together unlike Tetra. So, he often feels like a fake.
He looks up to Time, since he was the hero of Time who once defeated Ganondorf, plus he also doesn’t treat Wind like he will break at any moment.
The others have a habit of jumping in to protect him, mainly because he reminds many of them of themselves of when they first started their adventures.
Wind actually prefers sandals since he lives on an island, but that’s not considered ‘proper shoes for combat’.
Wind cannot control his expression, whether in sneaking around or in combat, he cannot keep a poker face, which of course makes him terrible at keeping secrets.
Link has no concept of ‘personal items’ he grew up sharing stuff with his sister and then a pirate ship, everything is fair game, unless said otherwise or you're wearing it.
Anything he finds is worn as jewelry until he can get back home, to which the treasure is given to Aryll and Grandma.
He is actually really good with seagulls, I mean it’s not like his sister Aryll, but he can easily feed them without them getting startled.
He’s a great swimmer; however, his legs can get tired from a lot of walking, especially rocky paths, he doesn’t tell the group this.
No concept of ‘oh that’s dangerous’ will happily be shot out of a canon for the laughs.
Wind doesn’t have any piercing even though he wants to, any jewelry is limited to necklaces and ear wraps.
Letters are a big comfort to Wind, as sometimes he panics that Aryll is missing, or grandma is sick again. The letters remind him that everything is fine.
Wind will fall into his big brother persona; he immediately will fuss others despite bringing the youngest of the group.
Besides looking up to Time, Wind also looks up to War, he doesn’t know why.
Koroks seems to really like Wind, he considered them his friends, Time doesn’t like the Koroks staying around or Wind going after them.
He cannot stand the cold because of growing up on an island. He’s in multiple layers or stealing others' scarves to keep warm.
Wind loves music, especially sea shanties, you will not know peace if one gets stuck in his head.
He knows how to shoot guns; he has one from Tetra and knows how to make ammo for it. It’s just very, very loud and he doesn’t like it.
He is slowly getting use to them and even started to build interesting items of his own.
He will correct anyone if they refer to Tetra as Zelda, since she prefers the name Tetra.
Wind loves fruit sense you can only really get them on islands, they are his favorite thing to snack on.
Wind sometimes realizes how stupid enemies can be, meaning he will sneak around them when others are planning something.
He is the most likely to do his own thing in battle and give the others heart attacks in the process.
The soul piece of the hero’s spirit is the smallest in Wind, it was the childlike wonder of the god, something the god couldn’t have a lot of considering his first life.
Because of this Wind doesn’t get the full burning in his chest that others might. But he does get the call to adventure.

Linked Universe, The hero of the Wild.
My headcanons/aus
Tumblr media
Art by Atro Avis
Colored version.
Long talk/Ideas under the cut, warning for losing body parts and memories, and lots of hurt. (Note: I may add stuff over time, but nothing will be deleted from the list)
Time. Twilight. Wind. Legend. Hyrule. Four. Sky. War.
Wild (Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom) (Age of Calamity?). Other Nicknames: The Champion, Arsonist, Cub, the Cook, Chaos, The Lost boy.
Hero Titles: The Champion, the Hero of Hyrule, the Killer of the Calamity, the Failed Hero.
God who has claim over his soul: Demise. (his connection violence and fighting).
Part of First’s soul: Loyalty and Freedom/Curiosity
Note: Technically he died before his first quest, however his soul is still the same. His body didn’t come back right.
History:
Link belonged to a small family, his father was a knight and his mother was a traveling merchant, oftentimes visiting Zora’s domain for business. Link found himself playing with the Zora princess Mipha and her little brother Sidon. However this changes when Link, only at 11, wanders into the woods and returns with the Master Sword and a new ability he can’t seem to describe. He’s immediately taken into the castle and begins training to be a knight; the boy refuses to speak after that.
The kingdom is warned of the return of the Calamity, and they begin to prepare for it by unearth guardians and divine beasts. This turned out to be the wrong thing to do as the Calamity took over the guardians and divine beasts and killed the other Champions and nearly killed Link. Link could have killed Ganon if he didn’t have control of the guardians. Zelda places Link in the Shrine of Resurrection in an effort to save his life while she went back to hold the Calamity alone.
Link comes back with absolutely no memory, he doesn’t even know his name (if not for the mysterious voice), and he has a weird metal arm now. However after waking up he meets a friendly wolf who helps him and he ends up naming Wolfie. He frees the Divine beasts, freeing the champions spirits, defeating the Calamity and saving Hyrule and Zelda.
After that…it is unknown, all that Link knows is that his memories have been taken once again, he’s losing years…as if he gave them up. All he knows is that he has a weird stone around his neck, that had helped the burning in his chest to lesson. And a girl, with blond hair, who happily said ‘Link’ before he was stolen alway once again.
Link cannot remember anything, he has faint hints like he’s done something but when he meets the chain, he is completely lost. Most of his story is told by people they meet on the road.
Death. First: The blast from the guardian would have killed him if the soul of the hero spirit refused to die before its quest was over.
Final: Wild’s soul has worked overtime to keep himself safe. He likely only makes it to late 20s before the soul burns out his body. Either he’ll go peaceful in his sleep or on the roads in his travels.
Interesting stuff/Headcanons:
Wild did not remember anything when he woke up in the shrine (he only knew his name because Zelda told him), everything was mainly muscle memory (hence why he’s so willing to eat bugs and monster parts)
However he did wake up crying, he has no idea why.
He lost an eye and an arm during his first death, they were replaced with sheik tec, one infused to his very soul so they cannot be taken over by the Malice.
The lost limbs are on his right side, the side he uses to hold a sword, draw a bow, it was intentional on the calamities part, to keep the enemy alive but no way to fight back.
He will randomly cry, or suddenly feel a wave of strong emotions, he doesn’t know why.
Almost every weapon feels comfortable in Link’s hands, and if not a weapon he can make it into a weapon.
He has a natural curiosity he just can’t seem to shake, something in his bones screams at him to be in nature and explore.
His blood is now off, it seemingly looks and glows that sheikah blue.
Because of his arm now cooler or hotter temperatures affect him more than when he was alive 100 years ago, he has to dress for the weather or else his health takes a big hit.
Once meeting a group or person, it takes him a long time to admit his opinions or the things he likes/wants to do.
Food is such a big comfort to Wild, he doesn’t know why, but it always brings a smile to his face, even the food that must hold memories as they make tears escape.
The Sheika slate abilities are also linked to Wild’s metal hand, however he doesn’t like to use them since they make his arm feel weird.
He has some other weird abilities, like a manipulation with time and combining weapons, but he doesn’t understand them like the ruins. Which just seems to come naturally, though he is learning (through trial and error).
All the yelling before his death fried Wild’s vocal cords so it takes him a while to actually talk again. (He prefers to sign)
Wild has a tendency to lie to people. Mainly he hates seeing people upset when he doesn’t remember them.
He actually met Demise before, it’s why the triforce of power still burns within him.
There’s a freedom that came with his lost memories, he only admits to Wolfie that sometimes he wishes he didn’t remember, even the faintest hint just bring heartache.
Of course he gets the abilities from saving the champion's spirits. However these are helping to cause his body to burn out.
They have to cool down otherwise it feels like hot lava settling in his chest.
After joining the group, he keeps trying new stuff from blacksmithing to woodcarving. Trying to find a possible old hobby or something to bring him comfort.
Wild takes to photographing a lot of stuff, mainly because he knows memories escape him at times and he wants to remember the other Links.
Wild knew he should have been angry when Wolfie turned out to be Twi. However, having someone to talk to and care about him was worth it.
Wild has this weird stone necklace, he doesn’t know how he got it, all he knows is it helps his bullet time without making his heart hurt.
Wild is used to Twilight almost babying him at times, doesn’t mean he won’t get into trouble.
Wild doesn’t have much of an impulse control (that’s Twi’s job).
The champion's souls have realized something bad is happening to Wild’s soul. And they're trying to help.
Early in his adventure Wild has bad PTSD from the guardians. It’s only later he’s able to face them.
Wild is able to talk to spirits and other stuff that most people can’t see (dragons, the statues, etc). Wild of course doesn’t say anything, mainly cause he doesn’t think people will believe him.
He somewhat resents the Master sword because pulling it took away his naive childhood.
He was about 16 when he died the first time. His body is now physically 17ish.
Wild's first adventure freeing the Divine beast took about 7 months, so he’s likely 18 now. (Tears of the Kingdom only happens like a month after BOTW)
Wild can speak a very old language that was spoken to him while he slept, only Sky and Time has heard it before.
Wild is very much trying to figure out who he is and what he wants to do with his life (he is unaware of the time limit).
Wild has no idea why blue is the color associated with the hero here, the only hero to wear blue is Wind and he states that those are his everyday clothes (better for the weather then his green).
He swore he’s seen a being with Time’s face markings before, and he’s seen another with the overwhelming energy that War has when he battles. And he’s seen the same gold on Legend faintly on Zelda.
——
Soo as you can guess, I'm actually completing rewriting Tears of the Kingdom lore for this au. I feel like there's a lot more to play around with.

It's dangerous to go alone, Finish.
It's dangerous to go alone. - Coffee_trash_and_i_need_sleep (I_need_Coffee_and_Linkeduniverse) - The Legend of Zelda & Related Fandoms [Archive of Our Own]
words: 12,786 Oneshot.
Hyrule & Legend center fic. Angst filled, hurt/comfort with a happy ending.
summery Hyrule throughout all his adventures have been alone, nothing more than his instincts and the sword on his back for comfort. Wait that isn't completely true, there is an old man who inhabits the caved, who has done his best to give the young traveler the tools he needed to insure he survive his harsh world. An old friend he has yet to thank for all the help he has given.
Now zapped into another adventure with 8 other version of the hero's spirit with him, Hyrule can't help but notice similarities between the friendly old man who help him survive and one Veteran hero who just seems done with everything.
But that's just a coincidence? Right?
--- Basically, me playing with the idea of the 'hero shade's' premise with other Linked Universe Characters.

It's dangerous to go alone (Wip)
This is wip fic, mainly about Hyrule and his life before LU cut with Linked universe and a strange familiarity.
Words : 1835
Link had known he had messed up, he should have listened to his mother, the overprotective great fairy, at least then he would know where he was at. He had never been outside of his mothers fountain, never been past the woods that were so rich with fae energy. Now he had woken in this field, likely after being struck in the head by a monster, considering the warm liquid running down his face, with nothing more than a tree branch to defend himself.
Scared and alone, Link heard more monsters approaching and as he scanned his eyes over the environment looking for something to help him, that’s when he saw it, an entrance to a cave. So the young scared boy took a leap of faith and ran inside the cave, figuring anything that could possibly be there was better than these monsters out here.
It was somewhat bright? From what his mother had described of caves is that they were pitch black, nothing to give off any hint of light as you stumbled to stay upright and not fall into a deep pit. Yet this one was lit up with pieces of wood that burned with bright flames on the end, giving warmth through the cave. Link still moved slowly, reaching out his magic trying to see any possible enemy out there, eventually his magic grabbed onto something. A bottle filled with a red liquid, it gave off the same energy as his mom when she healed him from his small cuts and bruises. Link quickly picked up the bottle and began to drink down the liquid inside, the pain on the side of his head slowly faded as the taste of sweet berries filled his mouth. He was too focused on the sweet flavor to even notice that he might not be alone.
“Hey!” An old raspy voice said.
Despite finishing the bottle, Link found himself coughing on the last drops of the red liquid. He turned towards the source of the voice, he was like all the other people that journey to his mother’s fountain begging for wishes, human looking, two legs, two arms. This person was older, a face of wrinkles hidden under a hood, blondish strands of hair tangled with the mostly white mob on his head. Boney hands clung hard to a cane, ruins carved into the old wood, it was the only thing likely keeping the man upright.
Link dropped the bottle and began to step back as he stuttered. “I-I didn’t know, I’m sorry, I should go.”
“Wait, foolish boy. It’s dangerous to go alone, take this!” The man yelled out in a strained voice, panic clear in his tone.
Link stopped and turned to look at the man. The old man had pulled back some of his robe, allowing more of his face to be seen, especially the pleading look in his eyes. His right hand clenched to a cane that was digging into the ground to keep himself up, meanwhile the left hand held a sword, Link could tell it was hard to even hold it as the man’s hand slightly shook as he held out the sword.
Link weighed his options, the man was right, it was too dangerous to go out of the cave without anything to defend himself other than a tree branch. Another thing was the man was old, it looked as if he was barely standing up, it’s not like he could actively go after the boy. So Link, despite the fear in his heart, walked up. He held out his hands and the man gently placed the sword in them.
Link looked at the old man’s blue violet eyes before he looked back at the sword. All the other weapons the monster had always burned Link’s skin as soon as he touched the blades, but this one, it didn’t burn, he could feel a light magic underneath the blade, humming gently. Link looked up at the man who had taken a few steps back, to lean up against a rock, he switched his cane into his left hand before picking it up and swinging up, just like those monsters do with their sword….oh.
Link quickly mimicked the old man’s actions, swinging the sword in two arching slashes. The old man's face lit up with a smile before he spoke again.
“Yes, I’m sure that sword will help you make it out there.” The man said. “Though you should get moving, staying in one place too long often comes with consequences.”
Link nodded in understanding as the old man handed him something, the boy quickly realized it was something to put his sword in like all the other humans that found his mother’s fountain. He quickly attached it to his belt as he turned to leave the cave. He remembers most of the humans that came to the fountain, often saying something about ‘payment’ or ‘paying something back’.
“I’ll pay you back one day, I promise!” Link yelled to the man with a smile.
“Your survival in this world is payment enough.” The man said with a knowing smile.
Link went back towards the entrance of the cave, the sword making him feel a little bit braver, giving him the small amount of courage he needed to take on the world.
“Traveler, stay back!” Legend growled out from his spot.
The two had been knocked back into a cave during the latest ambush that had befallen onto the group, this time it had been a mix of monsters and traitors from the captain's hyrule, and there were heavy hitters as well, taking the form of a dark knight who had the strength of a Goron. Hyrule had jumped in front of Legend to protect him, sending both of them flying back into this cave. That's how they currently got there, Hyrule who could not find his sword to save his life and Legend who’s crash had managed to knock down a large rock that was currently crushing and pinning his foot.
“But the monsters!” Hyrule had started to say.
“Have likely drawn the others away from here because of the crash, you will be running out there blind, likely alone, with no weapon!” Legend said.
“But the others need me!” Hyrule said as he turned to run out.
“You idiot! It’s dangerous to go alone!” Legend's voice yelled in frustration. “At least take this!”
At Legend’s words Hyrule froze and quickly turned around. Despite being pinned, Legend had done his best to get up, only really being able to kneel as he held his tempered sword out to Traveler with a shaking hand, likely from the pain. Hyrule had paused at first due to the familiarity but quickly shook it away when he heard more monster screams coming from outside the cave. He rushed over to take the sword from Legend.
“I’ll pay you back, promise.” Hyrule said before he began to rush out.
“Come back alive idiot, that’s payment enough!” Legend yelled behind him.
Hyrule rushed out into the battlefield once again, it was easy to find the rest of the group, he just had to follow the trail of destruction and monster parts. Thankfully the army that had ambushed them numbers had quickly been reduced and with a few swings of the sword and few lightning strikes, that number was quickly brought down to zero. Knowing that they were safe the boys took a moment to catch their breath.
“Hey Traveler, why are you using the Vet’s sword?” Time asked, causing a sudden wave of panic to fill Hyrule.
“Legend, he was trapped under a rock, I need to go back-” Hyrule said, trying to run but nearly faceplanting, only being caught by Time.
“You're running low on magic, you're lucky you're still standing.” Time said. “You can rest, we’ll help Legend.”
“But, I..need…” Hyrule tried to say, he had not realized just how much magic he had used, just how hard it was to keep his eyes open.
“Rest.” Time said once again and Hyrule allowed himself to be pulled into darkness.
When Hyrule finally broke out of the darkness, he was looking up at a night sky filled with shining stars, memories of the battle and his friend coming back to him.
“Legend!” Hyrule said he quickly shot up, tossing off the blanket that had been placed on him.
“I’m safe, Traveler” Legend voice said breaking Hyrule out of panic state.
Hyrule turned to look at his friend, Legend had taken off the top layer out his outfit, resting his back up against a log. His skin looked healthy and there wasn’t any sign of damage until you looked at his leg. His right leg, the one that had been pinned under a rock was wrapped up in bandages. Hyrule’s expression must have shown his worry because Legend quickly spoke up.
“We’re headed to a doctor, if I drink a red potion now and my bones aren’t aligned, we’ll just have to rebreak it.” Legend explained, Hyrule still frowning obviously not liking the answer.
“You should have seen it, Hyrule, this mad man was using a magical stick to push the boulder off of him.” Twilight said, barely moving to avoid a hit from the cane.
“It’s called the cane of Byrna, you dick, not some magical stick.” Legend said as he swung the ruined carved cane at Twilight yet again.
The others let out a laugh as Twilight got up and moved away from Legend, who was not happy that his target had moved. He tried to stand up using the cane as support, but he was quickly pulled back to the ground by Time who just glared at the hero. Legend stopped trying to get up but quickly pouted, earning a laugh from the group.
Wild took a break from laughing to turn his attention back to the soup pot that was currently cooking their dinner. Hyrule slowly got up and walked over to sit next to Legend, the hero was happier having someone that didn’t laugh at him.
“Can I see that?” Hyrule asked.
Legend nodded and handed the cane over to Hyrule. Hyrule began to study the cane, he was sure he had seen it before, these ruins felt so familiar, almost humming with comfortable magic as he ran his fingers over the carvings. He just could quite place where he had seen it before.
Hyrule’s thoughts were pulled away when Wild announced that dinner was ready, pulling out bowls and filling them before giving them to his brothers. Hyrule placed the cane down before taking the bowl and began drinking it, not even waiting for a spoon.
The food and warmth of the campfire quickly took the tension away, the group soon began to laugh and tell stories. Hyrule joined in with the laughter, he didn’t bother to bring up what was gnawing at his brain. It was so long ago; he was probably just misremembering what happened.

Ya'll see where I'm going with this :)

Fae LU ficlets (Happy Masks Salesman)
So after watching the hero's purpose my mind quickly went to 'what if the chain got to meet the happy mask salesman' and this was born.
Word count : 1723 words
The chain had switched yet again, it was a familiar feeling they were all sick of at this point. Go through a portal, fight these seemingly never ending black blooded monsters, figure out where they were, repeat. Thankfully this time when they went through the portal it wasn’t hard to figure out which hyrule they were in this time. The castle of Time’s hyrule is an unmistakable one.
The group began to move through castle town, it was easier to cut through then to get around to get to Lon Lon Ranch. Of course, going through a busy market, the boys decided they would also stock up on supplies as well. Hyrule was stocking up on healing items, Legend eye caught anything shiny and look magical, Twilight and Wild stayed a bit longer at a food stall, discussing what the Champion should cook for dinner.
Time walked away, he knew these streets were safe, allowing nostalgia to wash over him. He hummed as he slowly walked, thinking about what he could possibly get to bring home to Malon. He turned a corner, expecting the empty shop that was always there, but it wasn’t, instead it was a mask theme entrance, one from his younger days.
‘That isn’t right, he never came back, not after…’ Time’s thoughts raced for a second before he found himself wandering inside.
“Hey, old man! Where are you going?” Legend's voice yelled out, but Time didn’t pay attention.
Time walked inside, it was a plush wellcare for shop, silk flowed from the top shelves, masks lined each shelf with care. The familiar nostalgia washed over him once again, the one you felt when you found something you truly thought was lost.
“Hey, what gives old man?” Legend said as he and the rest of the chain walked into the shop.
“I’m sorry.” Time found himself saying. “This shop wasn’t here the last time.”
There was movement and a man appeared from behind the counter, brown hair, hylian looking, a smile plastered across his face, dressed in purple clothing. The man’s brown eyes scanned over the group of heroes until his eyes landed on Time. His eyes filled with warm familiarity and his smile got wider, somehow.
“Majora damn my soul. It's been quite some time, hasn’t it, Hero of Termina?” The man said.
“Termina?” War muttered.
“‘A parting need not last forever.’ I believe you said those words to me once.” Time replied to the man.
“Ha ha ha, on my how you’ve grown, you were just a small thing last time I saw you.” The man said, stepping from behind the counter to walk up to Time and grab his hand to shake it.
“Um, old man, who is this?” Wild asked.
“He’s an old friend from one of my travels, just a mask salesman.” Time said.
“A happy mask salesman.” The salesman said. “And who might you all be?”
“They're my wards, we’re traveling.” Time said, War and Legend let out a squeak at the word ‘wards’.
“We’re heroes too.” Wind added.
“Ah, still trying to satisfy and save everyone, are we Link?” The salesman said never losing his smile, even with the hint of sadness in his voice.
The man’s words sent a shiver down the others spine but Time didn’t react besides a chuckle.
“Anyway, your companions let me know if they're interested in any of my masks, I’ll give them a good discount.” The man said.
“That won’t be nessc-” Time started to say.
“Oh I insist. It's the least I could do for you helping me get my mask back.” The salesman said before turning to the group. “Let me know what interests you, nothing is off limits.”
The group began to browse around, probably so as to not appear rude. Time watched as Wind reached over trying to grab another bunny hood from behind the counter, he smiled as he watched Wind make a face trying so hard to reach it. Time suddenly felt fingers brushing against the marking and turned to glaze at the culprit, the happy mask salesman reached up, his smile just barely visible.
“That terrifying mask got too comfortable and made you mistake it for your own face?” The salesman said, sorrow filling his voice.
The other hero froze as the man’s voice, and what exactly was he talking about. Whatever he was talking about, Time definitely didn’t like it as he immediately reacted by quickly reaching up, and gripping the man’s arm with such force that the other heroes were sure that they heard the man’s bone cracking. Time just opened his scared eye to glare down at the man.
“I see I have overstepped.” The salesman said as he tried to pull his arm back.
“Just a bit.” Time said as he released the man’s arm. The salesman quickly rubbed the now brushing flesh before his signature smile was plaster onto his face as he turned to look at the group.
“Oh, let me help you.” The mask salesman said as he quickly rushed behind the counter and grabbed the rabbit hood and handed it to Wind.
Wind quickly put on the hood and took off running way faster than normal and slamming into Wild when he couldn’t slow down enough. Both ended up on the floor due to the force, causing the happy mask salesman to let out a laugh.
“Ah the energy of youth.” The salesman said.
“Here, I’ll pay.” Time said as he grabbed his bag of coins.
“Ah there’s no need, I’ve been trying to get rid of that mask for a while, it’s on the house.” The mask salesman said.
“That seems like a bad business model.” Legend commented.
“Ah it is, but I own this man a lot, a mask is nothing compared to what he has done for me.” The salesman said.
The heroes gave a shrug at his response, Four wanted another yellow mask and War wanted a few bombs he had. Both of those were paid for by Time after he insisted on paying, eventually the man agreed but not before slashing the prices. The others continued to browse before the salesman spoke up.
“Link, may I ask a favor.” The salesman said before getting a nod from Time. “Maybe I see your mask, the hero's masks, like yourself.”
The others turned to look at Time, he had never shown the group anything he called a ‘hero’s mask’ so they watched with curiosity. Time dug around in his bag before pulling out three masks, one was a Zora, one was a Goron and the last looked like monster, a Deku scrub if the group remembers correctly.
“Ah, the unfortunate heroes who never got to complete their journey, at least not until you came along.” The salesman said with a hint of sorrow. “The Deku Butler’s son, the goron hero Darmani, the musician Mikau. You help heal them, help complete their goals. Even with their spirits gone, the masks are filled with their happiness.”
The man looked at every mask with a bright smile and keen eye, all while Time just stood there allowing the man to look over every nook and cranny of the mask.
“After all these years and not a scratch on them.” The salesman said with a laugh. “They would be the envy of any mask shop but I will not insult you by offering a price. These masks are just as much a part of you as you are of them.”
Time just let out a laugh as he took the mask back and put them in his bag.
“What does that mean?” Sky asked.
“Ignore him, Termina, the land he’s from loves to confuse people and play pranks. Humor like a misbehaving skull kid.” Time said, earning a chuckle from the salesman behind him.
The group shrugged before Time began to shoo them out of the store saying they needed to head back to the ranch. Most of the boys exited the store before the salesman spoke up again.
“Link, may I have a word?” The mask salesman asked.
Time stopped, quickly giving a nod to the rest of the boys and they left the shop, leaving him just alone with the happy mask salesman.
“If you feel like listening to advice from an old salesman.” The salesman said before his smile fully dropped and he glared at the bag. “As someone who once held a powerful mask, it is much more dangerous to keep them on your person.”
Time found himself reaching up at the markings as the salesman continued.
“For your own safety I would bury the mask deep somewhere, and pray he does not break free of his binds until after your death.” The salesman added.
“You seemed convinced he would break free.” Time replied.
“Masks are a poor prison for gods, that’s why my tribe trusted me with the mask to find a solution to end her pain.” The salesman said. “I do not care for the god in your bag, however he gave my goddess peace after everything my people had done to her.”
“I will handle Kishin, focus on your shop.” Time said as he took a step to walk out.
“Do you know what that word means?” The salesman suddenly asked, causing Time to pause. He looked back at the salesman, the same sad smile as before. “In the gods language it means ‘inevitability’, death, time, nature, all his domains, all every marching with no end in sight, inevitable. Just like when the mask gets too weak and he’ll break out….and he has already shown a clear interest in you.”
Link just let out a sign before he finally spoke. “He’ll call people to him, use their corpses as his puppets till they fully break down. If I don’t watch the mask….”
“I see, you have met with a terrible fate, haven’t you?” The salesman said. “Just as I had once. Believe in your strengths young one, for they may be what keeps you moving forward.”
“Goodbye.” Time said with a sign once again and began to walk out of the shop.
“Don’t be a stranger, my shop is always open to you.” The salesman called out to the hero before the door was shut. “May the giants give you strength my old friend.”
----
So, in case you were wondering, I have it where the happy mask salesman was part of the tribe that worship 'Majora' a goddess of chaos. However, when that wasn't enough, they imprisoner her in a mask and used her power for rituals eventually driving her insane. He was given the mask withe the main goal to end her suffering, hence why he's not upset for it completely losing its power.

SCREAMING! The Wind as Fierce fic came out so good!!! (I'm the anon who asked for it). I'm really intrigued by what that bit about the souls could mean.
So instead of the actual first hero being reborn, every time Hylia needed a hero, she just took a part of the original's shattered soul?
And by the information given so far, Sky had the largest fraction of his soul?
Hello Anon, thank you for the prompt, I had a lot of fun writing it. You are always free to submit more or ask questions, I love to blab.
And you would be correct the original full ‘hero spirit’ soul is too much for a human body to bear, and burns them out before they reach 18 (what happens to the first hero). So Hylia shattered it when she realized she needed a hero to fight demise.
And yep, Sky has the biggest piece, as I mention in my Sky headcanon list. The vision, constant sleeping and burning in his chest are all side effects. Wind actually has the smallest piece of the original hero’s spirit, hence why Kishin didn’t pick up on it right away.

I got a prompt that might be fun. One of the other members of the chain puts on the Feirce Diety mask. Maybe Wind because I think the chain would have an interesting reaction to seeing their youngest hero turn into something taller than Time.
Wind and the Fierce Deity. 2143 words.
I really enjoyed this prompt, it was a lot of fun. I hope you enjoy it, warning for slight horror and Yiga's dying.
The Sailor does not know the meaning of privacy in their group, I mean it made sense, originally he grew up sharing everything with his little sister Aryll, and then he was on board a pirate ship for his next two adventures. It didn’t take long for the little rag tag group to realize that to Wind, anything was fair game.
Now despite that, there were talks and compromises, Wind got better at respecting people’s stuff, asking before he would go snooping. Some like Legend warned against touching his stuff because you never know what’s cursed, Hyrule however always allowed Wind to look, happily explaining all his items.
The exception to this seemed to be Time, the oldest hero seemingly had no problem letting Wind rifle through his stuff. Whether it be his masks, his weapons, even his potion supply, he happily let the young hero look through his stuff only really stopping to warn if something was dangerous.
There was one thing that broke that pattern.
Wind was going through Time’s bag yet again, he was trying to find the bunny hood that allowed you to move faster, he wanted to race Legend and he wanted to win. The younger boy just kept digging and eventually hit something that was different. The sailor pulled it out, it was something wrapped in a fabric and a chain. Of course the chain did not deter Wind, his lock picking skills made quick work of the chain, finally allowing him to unwrap the object.
It was a mask, a wooden one, and it looked alot like Time. The same face, even the shape of the eyes was the same. The stark contrast was that the frame of the face was a pale white, like the few streaks that Time had, and tattoos while some were the same as Time, these covered the mask, mirroring the other side perfectly. Wind found himself tracing the slice through the room that ran across the mask's right eye, the same one the eldest hero had.
The mask was yanked out of Wind’s hand so far to the point it nearly left a friction burn on the youngest hero. Wind looked up to see Time glaring down at him, he had always heard the Rancher talking about the oldest hero’s glare, now he knew what he meant. Wind wanted to crawl into a hole as Time’s bluish green eye and white eye glared down at him.
“Don’t touch it.” Time practically growled out, it was very clear it wasn’t a suggestion but an order.
The older hero wrapped up the mask again and stuffed it in a bag. Time went back to whatever he was doing, Wind was silent, quickly going to War’s side and staying close by him till they eventually set down camp. Wind eventually went up to Twilight as he was closest to the leader, and asked him about the strange mask.
“It’s a failsafe, he says it’s very dangerous, dark magic. I have no idea why he bothers to keep it.” Twilight informed. Wind nodded as he absorbed the information, a failsafe of dark magic, of course Time didn’t want him near it.
Wind eventually pushed the mask out of his mind as they went on with their adventure.
Then the Yiga struck.
The group had been attacked by the horrible black blooded monsters, they all had wounds from that fight, and then the Yiga, the traitors from Wild’s world showed up, an ambush. The group was already running off fumes, many were injured, it was the worst time. Wind had seen Time reach into his bag, quickly pulling out the forbidden mask; however, before the older hero could actually use it, he was struck in the head by one of the blademasters. Twilight took care of that enemy, yet Wind's mind was made once he saw the mask go flying.
Wind quickly ran over to the fallen mask, ignoring all the other enemies as he quickly picked it up.
“Wind? NO!” Time’s voice screamed out as the young child put on the mask.
There was a flash and then…silence…no there was music.
Wind opened his eyes, he wasn’t on the battlefield anymore, his brothers and the yiga were nowhere to be seen. Instead it was a beautiful grassy field with a clear blue sky, in the sea of grass there was one big tree, not big enough to be the great Deku tree but still pretty big. Wind looked around, there was nothing else, so he just ran up to the tree, the only source of life.
As Wind got closer, he saw a figure, the source of music. He was hidden in the shadows of the tree, his white hair covering most of his face, as he plucked the strings of an instrument that kind of looked like Sky’s harp but not really. It didn’t even occur to Wind that this figure might not be friendly until he stepped on a branch producing a snap, and the figure head snapped to face him.
Fear pooled in Wind’s gut as the man, no, whatever that creature was slowly got up, crawling to get up you could hear his bones snapping, the monster's white eyes never leaving Wind’s. The man’s face was covered in red and blue marking, his mouth parted into a shark teeth filled smile. The horns that sprout from the man’s head cured into a pointed crown.
“Another thief? I thought those soldiers had learned their lesson. No matter, I never reject the gifts given to me.” The man said before he held out a hand. Wind could see the fingers were blackened, as if they were dying.
Wind let out a gasp, his heart, his very soul felt like they were trying to be ripped out of his chest. He clutched his chest, glaring at the man as he slowly saw stands of energy being ripped away from him. Wind gritted his teeth, and summoned his strength to grab his sword to swing it at the man.
The man jumped back, as if seemingly shocked. He slowly took another step forward, this time the energy that formed around the man’s hand was a bluish green. The man smiled before he let out a laugh.
“You're one of the hero’s spirits, like the little changeling.” The man said before bowing. “Apologize little one.”
“W-who are you?” Wind stuttered.
“I go by many names, the Fierce Deity, the Oni however you, the ones who carry the hero spirit. You may call me Kishin.” The man, Kishin said. “Why have you put on my mask little hero, I doubt it was to free me.”
“The battle! How lon-?” Wind started to say.
“Time moves differently here, you don’t need to worry about what’s going on out there. I want answers.” Kishin said.
“Our group, we were attacked and then ambushed. We’re running on little energy, the others, someone needs to take out the yiga.”Wind said, causing Kishin to ponder for a second.
“So you need a protector? I can do that.” Kishin said as his form shifted, the once loose and flowy clothing replaced with hard armor, his white hair was pulled back into a braid. Even his face seemed to sharpen, drawing attention to his razer teeth. “How many will I be protecting?”
“8, all heroes like me.” Wind explained.
“That’s not possible, she shattered his soul but that many pieces….” Kishin muttered as his eyes widened. “Let me take control and see.”
Kishin stepped forward to grab Wind, however the boy took a step back before he spoke again. “No, not until you promise not to hurt them.”
“I wouldn’t-, fine, I swear to you that no harm will come to your companions while I possess your body, only your enemies.” Kishin swore as he held out his hand, still looking dead. “I swear to you, as a god bound in a mask.”
Wind was unsure before he thought about the battle, his brothers hurt barely just surviving. Whatever price the young hero had to pay; it would be worth it to save his brothers.
Wind took the god’s hand.
Time watched in horror as Wind took the mask and quickly placed it on his face. The boy could only let out a quick scream before a flash of light and lightning struck the ground, causing everyone to turn to head as to not be blinded. The light finally died down, allowing the others to finally look at the boy, well boy wasn’t the right word anymore.
“What the hell!” Legend yelled out as he finally laid his eyes on where Wind once stood.
Where Wind once was, was now a man, easily over eight feet tall. Wind’s once sandy blond hair was now a pure white, in similar waves to Wind’s own hair. His face now adorned with markings like Time’s, just as sharp and pointed. The outfit was still the blue of Wind’s shirt, but not more of a robe; beautiful embroidered, silver armor peaked out under the robe.
“That…that’s a god…” Sky muttered. He had only seen the aura of divinity once before in Demise, and then he had been too angry to do anything other than stab the demon.
“A god.” A yiga member laughed. “Truly these parlor tricks will do you no-”
The yiga words were cut off by his head being torn from his body. In a flash Wind had moved from his spot, now ever the yiga holding his head by the hair before dropping it with a thud. Wind turned to look at all the yiga behind their upside down mask, the sound of bones cracking and shifting filled the silent air. Wind mouth spread open revealing the razor sharp teeth, gleeful at the prey.
Then the carnage began.
Wind moved way too fast, the yiga tried to run away or some tried to fight against him. Either way it wasn’t a fair fight. As Wind took care of the yiga, the heroes watched in stunned silence.
“That’s a god, that mask held a god?” Sky asked.
“I thought you toss that thing into death mountain years ago?” War said, a shiver going down his spine. He always hated that mask even when little Sprite wore it during the war.
“Should we do something?” Hyrule asked, but the fear was clear in his voice.
“What could we possibly do?” Four counters.
“Time, what should we do?...Time?..Old man?” Twilight tried to ask, yet Time didn’t say anything. He just stared at the god that is currently mowing down the yiga, his eyes filled with a familiar fear.
As the last Yiga fell, Time finally got to his feet and walked towards the god. Wind stared down at the corpse of a yiga, the plants withering and dying around the god’s feet.
“Give him back.” Time said, the fear was gone in his voice. “Sailor, are you in there?”
The god looked at Time shaking his head ‘no’, as his eyes shifted, the once pools of white became ripples of blue greens that shifted out, leaving only a white pupil. The god looked over the group, his expression shifting to sadness.
“He..he wasn’t lying…nine pieces…” The god muttered as he glanced down at his hands. “Was she trying to erase him from existence?”
“Kishin, let him go!” Time ordered, yet the god didn’t react.
“Hylia, how dare you sister, I left him in your care and yet you maim his soul.” Kishin said, clenching his fist enough to draw blood. “I should slay you for harming what is mine.”
“He isn’t yours! Let him go!” Time yelled out, finally enough to get Kishin's attention.
“He’s mine! The hero spirit is always mine!” Kishin screamed.
As the god was distracted with his anger, Time lunged forward and grabbed the side of the god’s face, his fingers digging into the flesh of the god.
“No!” The god screamed out as the sound of flesh ripping silenced the group.
The mask was thrown away, now a weak and pale Wind was resting in Time’s arms. Time quickly glanced over the boy’s face, fearfully looking for any hint of the god’s markings on the child’s face. Thankfully there were none, he knew he shouldn’t have panicked, it took years wearing the mask before it tried to take him over but he never knew if would jump the possession after sitting for so long. Time was able to see the boys close by mask in his vision.
“No! Don’t touch it!” Time yelled out. “He’ll compel you to put it on, I’ll handle the monster. But right now Wind needs us.”
The others nodded and ran up surrounding the weak pale boy.
Of course, Wind was pale and weak, he gave his body to nature and death itself.

Coloring Headcanons pt. 3. Twilight and Sky
Aka me coloring the sketch commission I got from Atro Avis (I got there permission).
These are based off my list of headcanons and stories I have for the characters.
Twilight
Tumblr media
Tan skin from working out on the ranch, skin naturally darkens in the sun (no sunburns).
Eyes the same as Time’s just missing the white pupils.
Fingertip stain dark with twili magic.
Undertone is a mix of a green and red, producing a more brownish color (just slightly off).
Sky
Tumblr media
Hair is a dirty blond, a sharp contrast to Zelda’s bright blond hair.
Skin is unnaturally pale, despite how close he is to the sun it never darkens (or burns). Only place that is darker are the lightning and burn scars.
Dark bags under his eyes with his pale skin gives him a gaunt appearance at times (he is healthy).
Eyes are a sky blue.
Colored version of the commissions I got. Let me know your thoughts and comments!

Linked Universe, The Chosen Hero
My headcanons/aus
Tumblr media
Art by Atro
Colored version.
Long talk/Ideas under the cut. Warning for dark themes, sickly appearance and death visions (Note: I may stuff over time but nothing will be delete from the list).
Twilight. Wind. Legend. Hyrule. Four. Time. War. Wild.
Sky (Skyward Sword). Other Nicknames: Hylia’s chosen, Sleepyhead, Cloud, Birdbrain, First knight, Skyloftan.
Titles: Hylia’s Chosen Hero, The Hero Reborn, Hero of Skyloft.
God who has claim over his soul: Hylia
Part of First’s soul: Caring/kindness (biggest piece)
Note: While he is technically called the ‘first hero’ he wasn’t actually the first hero. The first one while saving humanity was wounded, and died. However the first hero was scrapped from history, so by all accounts Sky is the ‘first hero’. He’s also the ‘first hero’ by a time travel and the grandfather paradox.
History:
Link was just a boy on Skyloft, he was in the knights academy along with his best friend Zelda and his rival known as Groose. They are bonded with Loftwings which are considered half of their soul. Link gets a weird dream, is woken up and then has to go looking for his Loftwing, Red. Link eventually finds his Loftwing and wins the race, officially graduating and Zelda gives him her sailcloth.
A tornado pulls Zelda out of the sky, Link tries to help her but it is seemingly useless. When Link wakes up, he’s called by a mystery figure who lures him down to a secret place, where the Goddess sword is located. He meets the spirit in the Goddess Sword, her name is Fi and she was given the task of helping the chosen hero defeat the Demon known as Demise, she offers that if Link takes this adventure he will find Zelda as well.
Eventually during this adventure Link learns the truth, that Zelda is Hylia reborn, that this was a long plan coming and just exactly who he is. Despite everything he still goes after to save her, having to forge the Master Sword to make sure it can actually be strong enough to kill the demon. After facing and killing the demon, Demise uttered a curse, to always be reborn and that the ones with the goddess blood and the hero spirit can never know peace. Link says goodbye to Fi but has to grapple with what he’s learned, he still loves Zelda and his new quest is to settle on the surface and have a family with Zelda for as long as his body will allow.
Death: Happened soon after his second child with Zelda. Suddenly his soul was becoming too much for his body and burned him from the inside out. He died out on a walk, Zelda did her best but couldn’t get his heart to start again.
Interesting stuff/Headcanons:
Link learns about his past and gains memories back after his first temple. He kept trying to push and go forward so Fi had to push him into the water to save him.
Basically his soul was burning up his body.
He does have a slight breakdown after this and is left with a burn scar over his heart.
After the final battle, Sky is lit with lighting scars crawling up his body. Most are seen on his neck, but some hint up to his face.
Sky talked a lot with Fi and really grew to care for her, she was the only person who would talk about the past with him. He still talks to the sword even if he won’t get an answer.
He learns a lot of songs and a lot of stories that he shouldn’t know. He knows history that has been lost to ages and will forever stay lost.
Sky falling asleep isn’t natural, it was a safety measure done by Hylia, to try and keep his soul from burning out like the last hero.
So if he sits down for too long without something to do, he will fall asleep.
He also suffers from visions and dreams about the future. Some are vague but others are not. He knew he was fated to die before Zelda’s hair even turned gray.
The prophetic dreams come from the father of his soul, and his connection to time. Sky has the dreams cause he has the biggest soul piece.
Sky tries to stay on the positive side because 1) it’s in his nature and 2) if he didn’t he probably would have broken down by now.
Sky has come to terms that Zelda isn’t Hylia, she may have some memories but Hylia couldn’t be bound in a mortal form (at least not like in the games), she is just what Hylia thinks are her best parts (you can think like Zelda is a daughter or offshoot of Hylia).
Zelda and Sky both deal with an identity crisis and bond over it. Zelda does try to find ways to stop Sky’s visions from coming true.
He keeps a feather from his Loftwing in his hair, so he can always be connected to Red.
He took up woodworking and whittling to keep himself awake when he sits down.
Unlike the others, he seems to be the only one experiencing the curse, it could be because he has a bigger piece of the original soul.
He can play the harp, specially he still carries around and uses the goddess harp.
He can cook, he just often doesn’t because he would doze off while something was cooking.
Just because Sky is sleeping doesn’t mean he’s resting, so he has bags under his eyes despite the amount of sleeping he does.
The bags combined with his pale skin that never seems to get darker, gives him a gaunt appearance at times.
His visions have also allowed him to see what the others deal with on their adventure (as well as their deaths). He mainly tries to come across as someone you can talk to.
Sky adores birds, he doesn’t understand why all the others seem to hate them.
Sometimes he feels a bitter envy for the other heroes, not knowing their fate, not knowing the burning feeling digs into his chest.
Sky is very protective of Fi and the Master Sword, he doesn’t understand how someone like Time sees it as a curse.
Sky can actually feel/see the other hero’s spirits or the broken part. Sometimes his mind screams at him to do something, but he doesn’t know what. (it’s like a faint greenish glow)
