Day 31: HALLOWEEN

(So this is it. The end of the MAIN prompt list. I'll be posting the bonus entries in November. But man what a ride it has been. I've created so many characters that I will absolutely be using in the future, I solidified the concept for the circus guys, I introduced Tales from the Nevermade, I finally gave Lupe a name and purpose, and I even got myself a new fursona. So @icryink, thank you for creating the first prompt list I could actually complete in the allotted month. Hope you enjoy this last entry, my self indulgent candy demon.) Name: Scaramel

Species: Candy Demon Personality: Skittish, fearful, temperamental, perfectionist, subservient, stressed Summary: Crème Brûtalée was on the verge of greatness! The perfect batch of caramel for her new line of hallowed sweets. All that was needed was the finishing touch, a little bit of hellfire to add an extra kick to the batch. But one of her new hires accidentally bumped into her, adding a bit too much fire to the batch. Crème Brûtalée was furious and was about to fire the employee when something strange happened. The caramel morphed into a demonic shape and climbed out of the pot. The extra fire catalyzed by Brûtalée’s anger coalesced into a soul fire and thus a demon was born. Dubbed Scaramel, the new demon was immediately hired on to work at Brûtalée’s place since they realistically had nowhere else to go. They were seemingly born with the skills necessary to make all manner of candy, slowly building their own body over time. They made teeth out of candy corn, horns made of dark chocolate, a tail made of black licorice, claws made of rock candy, eyes made of jawbreakers, a tongue made of taffy, a nose they carved into their face, and they are currently working on wings made of gummy candy. They were also born with Brûtalée’s temper, made extra worse by the delicate nature of creating and working with candy. They may be terrified of Brûtalée’s wrath but they themselves can be pretty scary when angry themselves. Brûtalée actually thinks of Scaramel highly, appreciating her constant output of perfect creations. They just need to learn how to work with the rest of the kitchen properly, but Brûtalée is there to teach them to become a master sweets chef.
