Au where killua gets fired from his high fashion boutique job because he keeps making horrendous outfits for his clients and as he’s packing up, he gets a job offer from Kite to work at Ugly Clothes Inc. so this is not normally my thing but I am plagued by thoughts and I need to write them down

ok ok so it can be agreed that gon and killua are definitely a sun and moon duo - normally I argue "sun/moon" is an oversimplification of an existing dynamic but it really works in this case - bright, cheery gon compared to light itself but also burning dangerously and eventually burning out, and killua with his white glow, and being convinced that he only glows because of gon's light but he actually acts as a light in the dark for gon too etc etc all the good shit - I agree, I like it

but I was thinking about avatar tla today and suddenly I was reminded of tui and la, the moon and ocean. and!!! does this not work??? the moon, which pushes and pulls the tides, tui, who keeps the balance? the ocean, which while it can be bright and glittering and nourishing is also a huge source of power and danger, la, who went on a rampage of grief and revenge after tui was mortally wounded? killua definitely glows like the moon, his star sign is under cancer too, which is associated with the moon, etc etc. gon grew up right on the ocean, is introduced with a fishing rod. the ocean is also associated with the call of the unknown. come on. please tell me someone gets it.
