I used to criticize myself fairly often for doing certain things because I thought it would make others not to think poorly of me. I would be embarrassed by such silly things. Maybe it’s called growing up. Maybe it’s called being too tired to care. Maybe it’s called being embarrassing so much I’m immune. Maybe it’s called confidence. Actually, maybe not confidence because I still question myself sometimes. However, things that would definitely bother me so much that I would ponder it for days does not affect me anymore. Of course I would still care if someone thought I was rude or mean because that actually matters.

I think a huge part of it is that I have come to terms with myself. As long as I try my best to be a good person, it does not matter what others think of me because we probably were never meant to get along. There is no point trying to hide myself just for real-life “likes.” To reference a certain musical, “Let your freak flag wave.”
