i like gentle regulus black. i like warm, sweet, kind, animal-loving regulus black. i like regulus black who loves so openly even after sirius left. i like regulus black who isn’t easy to love, but easily loves. i like regulus black who smiles and laughs when he means it and frowns and grimaces when he means it. i like regulus black who wears his heart on his sleeves, but under layers of warm sweaters and thin long sleeves.

i like regulus black who spends hours in the hogwarts kitchen talking and laughing with the elves, describing things that have happened outside of hogwarts and even drawing them clothing he knows they’ll never receive. i like regulus black who spends hours listening to kreacher’s thousands of years of life, slowly falling asleep next to kreacher on the floor of his bedroom. i like regulus black who promises to free kreacher when he can, but dies before he can do so (but kreacher knows if he could’ve, he would’ve. kreacher knows that the child he helped raise would’ve freed him if his life hadn’t been ripped away from him. he knows his baby would’ve given his life for him, and in a way, he did.)

i like regulus black who snorts when he laughs. i like regulus black who not-so-secretly loves a good romance novel. i like regulus black who blushes openly and stumbles over his words, even when he’s normally so eloquent. i like regulus black who messes up, but understands it’s okay because siri and kreacher told him it was.

i like regulus black who feels. i like regulus black who loves and yearns for his brother.

i love dark and broody regulus black because who doesn’t? but i think him being warm and gentle underneath all of those layers of protection is what makes him human, and all we do in this fandom is humanize our beloved characters.

plus, he’s a teenager. he’s not gonna be stoic and emo all the time guys. 💔

thinking about a light or somethin’ and vulnerability. specifically that we see more intentional vulnerability from swan in about a minute than we see from mercy in the entire album… except it’s being used defensively. she’s trying to skip straight to what she sees as the inevitable outcome - if mercy’s going to leave once she gets to know her, why not just get through that right now? it’ll hurt less.

and mercy, on the other hand… I don’t think she’s intentionally putting herself on the back foot, here, but “what do you see in me? what was it about me that made you stand up for a complete stranger?” is a hell of a vulnerable question to be asking someone you’ve just met. I think she’s used to a very specific form of transactional relationship, and she’s thrown by swan very clearly not expecting that. so she’s desperately trying to figure out what the parameters of this new dynamic are, and tentatively hopeful that swan might have seen something in her beyond physical attractiveness - might have seen her the way she wants to be seen, as someone brave and capable, who has a place within the warriors.

mercy my beloved

currently stalking the acc i js am obsessed w warriors rn

Guys. Can we talk about how insane Mercy is for a second.

Even just the way she's introduced. The Orphans are letting the Warriors are pass through peacefully, but Mercy comes in and says "Hmm, No."

Calls all the boys bitches and chickens. Says they're idiots for falling for a pretty face. Demands Swann to undress. Forces the Orphans to have fight the Warriors.

But then The Warriors start an explosion, possibly maiming and killing every boys she's ever known. And Mercy's reaction is. "Oh I'm going to completely uproot my life to follow this girl"

Barely two minutes have passed. What happened to not falling for a pretty face? Her only interaction with these people is demanding their clothes, and starting a fight.

She doesn't ask either. She just starts chasing them, no questions asked. Completely convinced they'll just let her come. Doesn't know where they're going, doesn't even know their names.

Spends the rest of the plot she takes the role of starting fights with strangers and insisting shes part of the gang.

Even when she finds out that thousands of people are trying to murder them, she doesn't seem discouraged from joining. Doesn't even question it. Says "oh yeah, guess we're wanted dead for murder"

Chooses to risk her life for people she barely even knows. Doesnt seem to have experience fighting - starts beating people up anyway.

Swann asks if she's loyal. Mercy says I'm loyal to you ;). She met this woman five hours ago. Then she asks her why aren't you kissing me yet,??

I'm pretty sure she's the best character in all of media?
