Sorry I don't tag literally anything, and I reblog things I've already seen because I have the memory of a toasted almond. Check out my side blogs! Some include ofbeetlesandbees, which is my aesthetic blog, cosmic-surf (another aesthetic), and my art blog @haleybugart!

From the comments "In my experience clothing on anyone looks best when it is done with confidence. We are all different shapes and sizes. I was really struck by your post on dressing well that included John Goodman in a faded t-shirt and jeans. He rocks it!"
Excellent advice, whatever gender or style one is looking for. Thank you
I'm a trans guy and Derek, I can tell you my wardrobe has improved a huge amount simply by reading your threads. The "dress for your body type" stuff never worked well for me; your threads about putting together an intentional look and for getting a good fit - that's 99% of the game.

Reddit post here.
Glad to see US military folks realizing that they can just shoot ICE and be given a wrist slap by any military court that tries them because everyone hates ICE except for Trump and his goons.

So, remember: you can always just blast away at unidentified people in masks trying to steal folks away. There's no proof they work for anyone federal and so you're really just protecting your community. Sure you might have to deal with the criminal and legal fallout, but you're probably aware of that going in, otherwise you wouldn't be doing that in the first place. Or shouldn't. Don't go in half cocked and guns blazing, no matter how tempting that is.
Tumblr media
Also, community defense is great. Form a local affinity group, stay strapped, try hard not to shoot other armed affinity groups. Learn from Salt Lake City's fuckup. I know I'm not taking the official Terminally Online Leftist view here, but I kind of think both parties were at fault but also...this sort of thing happens, tragic and all that, yeah, but all we can do is learn from it. Showing up armed is great, bitchin', rad, hopefully your hands remain free of gunshot residue and your bullets in your magazine. The thing we should learn from all this, again, to my mind that's been staring at all the discourse...is not that "the libs are stooges for the fascists" and cause more trouble than not and should be excluded from protests, but that maybe more coordination before protests might be, perhaps, good? Maybe. But I'm just an anarchist with a slight limp and not really a fan of guns, personally. I think it's great that folks like the SRA and John Brown Gun Clubs etc are out there armed, truly, but I like blunt force and sharp things. Call me old fashioned and useless, I'll live with that until I catch lead. Then it won't be a problem, just dig me a grave and cover it with flowers and sing a round of 'Bella Ciao.'
This popped up in my recommended gifs. It wasn't what I was looking for, at all, but here we are. Have a silly gif.

From A tehrani resident who barely got out let me inform you of some of the things currently going on here:
Israel bombed two of the highways leading out of tehran, both are blocked now. The remaining highways had heavy traffic until few hours ago. After israel bombed every oil tanks and refineries around tehran, a shortage of petrol happened. Now most petrol stations are out of work and if you're lucky enough to find one that's still operating, you have to stay in hours long lines in hopes of getting max 15 liters of petrol. So even with a car, it's not guaranteed you can get very far from the city.
There's also the matter of where to go and stay. The bank system is half working, no cash available at the time. And you can't exactly sleep in the deserts around the city. Most people still stuck in tehran don't have anywhere to go and they don't have the money to afford relocating themselves (it's always the lower class that gets the worst hits)
All of these are beside the fact that most people can't leave the city under any circumstance. They have chronic illnesses, they have sick family members who needs care, they work as emergency workers and can't leave their lines of duty.
But these mfs don't care about human life getting destroyed. It's just numbers to them, expendables. Our own government has abandoned people to die horrible deaths, they never cared and they don't care now. People of iran are worth nothing to nobody. It's Gaza all over again.
I have family and friends still in tehran who can't leave. I'm bracing myself for the worst case scenario. I hope all those who start war, add fuel to the flames of war, encourage it and cheer for it, burn and rot in hell. I don't really believe in hell and afterlife, but I hope it's all real just to see these people get what they deserve

Tumblr is the reason why I have something I call the cashier test which is, if i told this to a random cashier at the grocery store, would they think you're crazy at best or at worst would they be warranted in leaping over the counter and beating the shit out of you. Karl Marx mpreg is crazy, but not beating the shit out of you crazy. The cashier will probably talk about you to their coworkers and it might even make their day. Telling someone they're complicit in their own oppression by working a minimum wage job at a grocery store makes them warranted in leaping over the counter to beat the shit out of you.

I was working with an item today that just utterly flabbergasted a part of me (the other was deeply frustrated with the catalogue record AS SOMEONE APPARENTLY THOUGHT IT WAS PRINTED ON SILK, coming back to that in a minute) … but ANYWAYS … said item is a replica of a medieval manuscript prayer book THAT IS ENTIRELY WOVEN out of grey and black silk … WOVEN … text, images, intricate grey scale, WOVEN … NOT PRINTED …
And it’s flabbergasting because it’s from 1888, Jacquard machine, IT USED PUNCH CARDS to weave these intricate pages … something like 400 weft per near square inch … IT looks like a page of textured paper, but it’s not, it’s entirely SILK … F*CK …
Anyways …

I think people no longer understand that "viewer discretion is advised" does not mean "vaguely bad content ahead," it means View At Your Own Discretion. As in, if you see the content going in a direction that is unsuitable for you in any way, it is your responsibility to stop viewing. Don't blame creators for your failure to listen to your own warning signs. Nobody is forcing you to finish the episode, the chapter, the sentence. That's all you.
