27 | NB | ♊ Have fun exploring my blog if you feel like it! I'm pretty much a jumbled mess of posts, so honestly follow at your own risk. This is my main blog where I post casually. Sorry I don't tag literally anything, and I reblog things I've already seen because I have the memory of a toasted almond. Check out my side blogs! Some include ofbeetlesandbees, which is my aesthetic blog, cosmic-surf (another aesthetic), and my art blog @haleybugart!

I remember in 2019 reading a news headline about the D.C. Dyke March banning Jewish pride flags and thinking “damn that’s shitty why would they do that?” and then not investigating further because I was 17 and easily distracted by shapes and colors.
Well that headline popped into my head again so I decided to actually investigate and what do ya know, it’s chock full of IDF propaganda.

I read another article to see if it was a blanket ban on Jewish symbols (which would obviously be shitty) and I got my answer. This is an email chain by the author to one of the Dyke March organizers

Oh brother

Please support this initiative! For every $10, SIHA Network is able to provide one menstrual hygiene kit for a Sudanese woman or girl. That is a small amount to pay for an incredibly powerful donation.
Donate directly at the link below.
(I found this charity from this tweet. The price for menstrual hygiene kits seems to have gone up since it was written.)

@afloweroutofstone ran a poll earlier asking people to pick America's #4 city (since the top 3 are already well known as New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago).
I'm asking for the opposite: I want you to pick America's LEAST culturally-important city, relative to its population. Like, which city are you most surprised has such a large population despite never hearing about it?
#Im not saying this bc im from here#but the world needs to pay more attention to San Jose#theres some fucked up things in the tech world happening here

Many Ghazzawis on Twitter are now reporting that the markets in Gaza are filled with lots of food again, even food that hasn’t been available in months, alhamdulilah. Political pressure works! Now it’s up to us to keep donating to fundraisers so they’re able to afford food. If you see a stagnant fundraiser, even $5 can help a lot. If you can’t donate, share it and engage with it as much as you can.
