this wasn't just any pope. this was the pope who pissed off american conservatives so much they started calling him the communist pope. the man literally said capitalism kills. he met with trans people. he said atheists could go to heaven. he called climate change real. he didn't ban gays from the church, he hugged them.

and now he's gone. which means the conclave is gonna do what conclaves always do when they get scared: swing hard right. like trad caths in lace veils reciting aquinas and plotting crusades on telegram right. we're talking incense and indulgences and anti-abortion absolutism on megaphone. it's giving bring back the inquisition, but make it fashy.

and contextually............yeah, we're fried. barbecued. cremated. america's having an escher sketch of a fascist relapse. trump is foaming at the mouth with jd 'man-made horrors beyond my comprehension' vance whispering in his ear like a steubenville snake. climate collapse is escalating. billionaires are LARPing as greek gods while the rest live in the second act of a von trier film. and now the most left-leaning pope in modern history just left the building.

this isn't cooked. this is cassandra tearing her hair out while the trojans say lol he's just a horse :)

like. we just lost the last soft voice in a room full of screaming patriarchs. and what's next? pope benedict 2.0? pope jordan peterson?? pope elon i??  

brace. get a rosary. get a gun. get a philosophy degree. the next decade's gonna feel like being locked in a cathedral while it floods and the only thing playing is ave maria (bass boosted).
