What to do if witchcraft suddenly gets way too intense
1. FINISH WHAT YOU ARE DOING.
► DO NOT walk away from an uncompleted ritual
► DO NOT walk away in the middle of a spell
Grab your notes and close everything down. Dismiss any spirits or entities you are working with. Close down the circle. End the ritual. Diffuse the energy of the spell and close it down. If you were enchanting an item, announce over it that it is closed and nothing more may come in or out.
Spells and rituals are little portals of power; if you leave one open without closing it, all sorts of things could get screwy and come through.
2. End any spooky/witchy atmosphere immediately.
Blow out all the candles.
Put out all the incense.
Turn on all the lights.
Turn off spooky chanting music. Turn on some happy music or better yet, a non-supernatural television show or movie you love.
If you were enchanting an item, immediately put it in salt.
3. Don’t destroy the items/notes you will need later.
Trust me, do not throw away the spell you wrote or the objects you were working on. If things go wrong in the future you will need these to fix the problem.
► Immediately write down exactly what happened. Write down every deviation from the spell that you did. Write down exactly what you said and saw during any visualizations. Write down exactly when things started to get freaky.
► If you were enchanting an item, keep it in a black bag filled with salt until you are ready to deal with it.
4. Cleanse.
Use an energy cannonball to purify the space you were working in. Burn rosemary and bay leaves to fumigate the area, or spritz a premade water solution if you can’t have smoke. Pay special attention to all ritual tools.
If you feel the need to, cleanse yourself by visualizing the power of the smoke enveloping you and driving away any bad vibes; or take a shower if you really feel something has gone wrong.
5. Get out of the area you were working in.
Go to another room. Leave the house if possible. Seek the company of others or turn on the television if you are alone.
6. Do mundane things for a while.
Eat a nice meal. Drink a big glass of water. Go for a jog. Do some chores. Put anything magical totally out of your head. Absolutely do not focus on how weird things just got.
7. When you are ready, return to the area you were working in.
Relax yourself and judge the energies within the room. Are things still ‘creepy’? A heavy-duty cleansing is in order. Do you feel as if someone else is there? Open a window and command it to leave - if it does not, more fumigation or a banishing is required.
Judge your ritual tools and determine if they will need additional cleansing. If you were working on an object, determine if it has been corrupted or if anything is wrong with it. If so, put it back in the salt and deal with it as soon as you can.
8. Take a break from witchcraft for a couple of days.
9. Figure out what went wrong.
Fear is never a good thing. There is a difference between embracing the darkness and being afraid.
► Fear can be caused if an entity showed up you were unprepared to deal with.
► Fear can be caused if your intuition (or perhaps a spirit ally) was warning you that what you were about to do was a really bad idea.
► Fear can be caused if you tap in to powers that overwhelm you.
You need to figure out what went wrong. It isn’t a situation where you can say “oh well” and try something else later - because you screwed up, and next time you may not get an adequate warning before things go to hell.

Daily reminder that:
Chakras aren't what you think they are, they come from Hinduism, not Wicca or New Age, and you should learn about their actual meanings.
There are so many different ways people believe magic and witchcraft works. There isn't one correct answer.
There are so many open paths that there is no excuse to practice ones that are closed to you.
Witch is a gender neutral term.
It's okay to have doubts, it's normal and 100% valid.

People aren’t necessarily out of touch with the natural world, people don’t have the privilege to live outside of the city and in an area where they don’t have to deal with dense populations, and the hustle and bustle of the city.
I wish when witches and people in general discuss our ‘disconnect’ from the natural world, they took into account the privilege that allowed them to still be in touch with it.
this is double especially if you are someone who benefits directly from colonization. It’s evil to claim that urban people, which is namely inhabited by people of color, are out of touch with the earth despite the fact that your ancestors removed them from their original land, the land you now occupy that allows you to be so in touch.

The lunar eclipse in Gemini illuminates the area of your chart associated with work and the roles you play in public. You may be reaching a goal or coming to the end of a chapter, getting ready to take your work out into the world in new ways. A combination of practical thinking, hard work, and paying attention to your feelings and intuition will serve you best. The day after the lunar eclipse, Mercury moves into Sagittarius on the 1st and you may have a sense of emerging from the darkness into the light. It's time to connect with the wider pattern of your life, to remind yourself of the higher truths which inspire your practical thinking. Expressing these truths can bring a sense of healing around the 5th, allowing you to stand up for what you believe in. This may bring challenges but also an ability to connect with something greater than yourself. Around the 10th you are challenged to bring that connection into your everyday reality. Don't let the expectations of others, or your perception of their expectations, hold you back, and be careful not to be too hard on yourself. Your imagination is strong around the 13th and brings creative inspiration. The full phase is associated with harvest, celebration and gratitude. Do a gratitude ritual to give thanks for all the existing blessings, gifts, wisdom and experiences in your life. Acknowledge all the things you have manifested so far - if your intentions are still new you may only see small changes, but the power of gratitude combined with the full moon will supercharge your manifestation energy. The full moon amplifies emotional sensitivity, and can bring up intense feelings which can often be overwhelming. A releasing ritual or full moon ceremony will help you to harness this energy and use it to create powerful shifts in your life. However, releasing work should only be done after the moon has reached fullness and has started to wane.

Antisemitism in Witchy Spaces
I decided to start writing down every time I saw/experienced something in hopes that it will help shed light on some specific stuff Jewitches go through. My hope is that people will see antisemitism as a community-wide issue and not the fault of just a few individuals. We all play a part in making it better.
Facebook Witch Group: post is made by a user with a profile picture of a clear nazi swastika. After being notified, admin declares the user is allowed to stay because the group is a “judgement free zone.”
Facebook Witch Group: Jewitch witches were assumed white by default and pitted against other groups, as if Jewish people are leveraging their identity to “play up” their own oppression and undermine others. Many openly Jewish witches are harassed out of the group.
A witchy discord group implements a rule that outlaws all mention of all closed practices (including Judaism) “to protect from appropriation,” even if the person has legitimate claim to the practice. When I pointed out this basically forced me into hiding, admin says, “you can be Jewish. Just not here.”
A user identified themselves as a Kabbalist. Later in the discussion, they were surprised to learn Kabbalah was Jewish in origin, admitted they didn’t know a single Jewish person in real life, and argued that Kabbalah couldn’t be that bad because Arianna Grande also used it. (”Are you saying she’s wrong too??”)
Another user is called out for appropriating Kabbalah and proceeds to sling antisemitic jokes until they are banned.
Just. So many more people appropriating Kabbalah and just becoming really nasty towards any Jewish person that expresses discomfort. (Including one person that even gave themselves a Hebrew username)
A group of users too big to argue with talking about how amaaaazing working with Lilith is. A few Jewish folks respectfully ask them to be mindful of her origins. They’re not given attention. (Or what attention they are given is only to debate her origin.)
Discord server has rooms for every major subcategory of Paganism and one room for “Abrahamic.” Christian witches completely dominate the conversation.
I mention on my blog that I am a proud Jewish person. One of the comments shortly after is “go be Jewish in Israel.”
A Nazi sympathizer joins a Discord group, reveals themselves, is banned, and proceeds to try and join again over and over again through different accounts.
I’m checking my blog activity and see a nazi witchy blog had gone through my blogged and liked a ton of stuff so I’d be sure to see their username (they did this to other notable tumblr blogs as well.) Looking at their bio revealed their agenda of proving Nazis “weren’t all bad,” and their dash included an open invite to a holocaust denial discord server.
A tumblr thread gets big of a bunch of witches arguing to cancel the word Sabbat because of supposed antisemitic origins. Jewish people chime in to insist that we really don’t give a shit about Wiccans using the word Sabbat, and not to speak over Jewish people and declare what we’re offended by. Tumblr arguments ensue.
I get “called out” for baking challah. That’s not antisemitism but it made me laugh really hard. (It’s okay for goyim to bake bread, obviously. Just don’t be weird about it.)
“High magic” and ceremonial practitioners ignoring or brushing off their tradition’s origin in blatant appropriation.
A user shares a magical chant to a group for everyone to use. The chant is in Hebrew. It includes a name of Gd. They didn’t realize that was a part of it.
Another discord group asserts in the rules that members of closed cultures may be openly themselves and discuss their craft, but not in an educational way. A mod practices exclusively Hermetic Kabbalah. I don’t have the strength to get into it. (Thankfully we had an actually decent discussion but it still made me feel kinda shitty.)
Everyone is free to reblog. Jewish witches, please feel free to add your own experiences!

Why Discernment is Important: An Example
As someone who follows many spiritual accounts on Twitter, it's common for me to scroll past numerous collective readings, channeled messages, pick a card readings, and other messages.
Just today I've seen the following predictions on my timeline:
That I'll get married
That I'll have a baby
That I'll break up
That a new love will come into my life
That I shouldn't trust someone in my close group of friends
That someone harbors secret romantic feelings for me
That someone is conspiring against me
That I'll be "awakening" soon
That my energy centers are blocked
That my energy centers are overactive
That my spirit guardians have a message for me
As you can probably tell, some of these messages are rather contradictory, often in extreme ways. And based on what's going on in my life, some of them are outright impossible for me.
Could some of these be true for me, and seeing them on my timeline is a sign from a Divine source? Maybe! But chances are, if there is a particular urgent message for you, that message will appear in other ways as confirmation. So while there is nothing inherently wrong with these types of readings, make sure to approach them with a skeptical eye.
Not every collective message is meant for each person who sees it, which is why double (and triple) checking with another form of divination can help ensure you aren't misleading or sabotaging yourself by following messages that weren't meant for you.

“Justice Is Served”
Have this sigil on your sign or on your body in some way during protests. or Draw this on a printed out news article about an injustice or hate crime
Charge it with a protest chant or with any other means you might be more comfortable with
Now go out there and serve your justice.
