Hello!!!! It has been a long time since I’ve posted and while I don’t have a large blog it is very important to me, as small as it is.

In the months since I’ve posted , I’ve gotten a promotion at work and my partners moved in with me. However recently I’ve lost my house to Hurricane Milton and my partner and I have had to move to different houses to couch surf until we are back on our feet.

I’ve been beyond stressed and lately that’s been manifesting in some very *little* thoughts. And seeing as I’m sharing a room with my mother that’s not a problem I can solve the normal way. Thankfully I was able to salvage my custom Baymax pacifier (which is my pride and joy) so not everything is lost.

All that to say is that I am hopefully going to be posting more soon and I’ve missed it here. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

⭐️ They’d give you two different birthdays, one for when your in your headspace, and one for when your out of your headspace

🌟 Your out of headspace birthday party is very fun, you get a bunch of gifts, you guys all get dinner (that Johnny ends up paying for), your the center of attention

🌩 ^ Johnny probably takes everyone out for a ‘girls day’ . . . even if the entire group (or everyone but you, depends on your gender) isn’t a girl

🍖 . . . But are you really going to say no for a free shopping free and getting to dress up all pretty? I don’t think so!!! (it’s also his gift to you . . . Okay, he has more, but still)

❤️ Your little birthday party goes very different though

⭐️ Raiden wakes you up to some yummy pancakes, fruit, and whipped cream/chocolate chips!! (Mickey Mouse shaped ones are my favorite)

🌟 It’s a very peaceful morning, Raiden even spoon feeds you!! (he normally spoon feeds you when your this small, but he’s insistent on helping you today)

🌩 Long day of very fun little activities!!!

🍖 Johnny gives his birthday gift to you early, it’s a couple of super cute regression outfits

❤️ Why so early? Super simple, fashion show!!! :O

⭐️ He’ll hold you on his hip, helping you strut down the handmade runway (which is a bunch of pillows leading to the couch that the others cheer at)

🌟 Liu Kang steals you next, saying it’s time for outside time, specifically in his private garden area

🌩 What’s outside? A small picnic!! :D (and some water balloons/guns because it’s fun)

🍖 ^ You and Kung Lao team up and end up getting Liu kang all wet (much to your twos enjoyment and his dismay)

❤️ Don’t worry, Liu Kang gets back at Kung Lao later, convincing you to throw a water baloon at him 

⭐️ . . . Which you may or not blame Raiden for, and now a full on war has been brought between the two friends)

🌟 . . . Kenshi does notice and lectures you about lying, unfortunally :(

🌩 But not too much!! It’s your birthday after all, birthday little ones get to bypass some rules (you still need to apoligize to Raiden and Kung Lao for lying though

⭐️ Kenshi got you a chicken plushie and some chicklets!!! (inspired by Snow Blind and the chicken stuffies in Unpacked)

🌟 Liu Kang got you a new music box, maybe a song from your favorite video game, or maybe the lullaby is really soothing (it’s a easy hand crank one too)

🌩 Kung Lao got you some more regression snacks, a new baby bottle, and a soft blankie

🍖 Raiden gives you a small backpack to make into a baby bag (or just use)!! As well as some pins or patches he can help sew in!!

❤️ ^ He also got you some really cute socks :3

⭐️ Johnny gets you a custom made pacifier, completely detected out, like, your dream paci (as well as the cute outfits from before)

🌟 They’ll have one of your favorite deserts, or your favorite cake!!

🌩 But . . . It’s a cake based off of your tv show/video game character!!! :O

🍖 Kung Lao will spoon feed you this time, mostly because he whined that Raiden already got to feed you and he wants a turn :(

❤️ You either spend more time outside, whether playing with the rest of the water balloons, or hiding on Kenshi’s lap while the other four run around trying to get the others soaked (Yes! Even Liu Kang ends up getting in on it!! And he is destined to win)

⭐️ If you also get soaked, you do have to have a bath :\

🌟 But it’s a very nice bath!! Nice soap, maybe a bath bomb, fluffy towels, wearing one of your new onesies!!

🌩 And because Liu Kang is so nice, and it’s your birthday, you get to skip/push back nap time!! :D

🍖 . . . A horrible decision, because now your incredibly cranky, grumpy, and still refuse to fall asleep, and it’s ALL Liu Kangs fault!!! >:(

⭐️ Putting your favorite tv show on, you getting borderline suffocated while they all try to snuggle you, and getting very sleepy very quickly

❤️ Raiden and Kenshi kinda take a semi hands off approach, letting you crawl over and cuddle them before getting dragged back by Johnny or Kung lao

🌟 You don’t wanna choose! How could you choose? You love both Kung Lao and Johnny equally!! Why were they making you choose? That wasn’t fair, nor very nice :(

🌩 And now Johnny and Kung Lao are using their mean voices towards each other and they’re fighting, why are they fighting? You didn’t do anything wrong, did you?

🍖 Luckily, Raiden notices and comes over, scooping you up and declaring it snack time

❤️ You swear you can hear Kenshi scolding Johnny and Kung Lao for making you cry, but Raiden put on some soft music so you could help him make sandwiches and fruit

⭐️ Except your a bit too big to help make sandwiches, so instead you can eat a cookie while Raiden makes lunch

🌟 If your too little for solid foods, Raiden will make you some yummy oatmeal or something similar

🌩 Kenshi comes over and scoops you up, mostly because Raiden called for him because he might be super awesome (as you’ve declared him) but he can’t unfortuanlly carry you and bring out a tray of food (for some reason 🙄)

🍖 Johnny and Kung Lao look kinda defeated as they apologize to you, but their apology is very sincere because they never truly meant to make you cry

❤️ The rest of the day, after some yummy food and cartoons, is spent sharing playtime

⭐️ Johnny convinces everyone that they need a small dance break after lunch, and now everyone needs a dance break

🌟 Whether it’s dancing with some nice tunes, or those silly little fun exercises online

🌩 Y’all ever done Koo Koo Kangaroo? One of my favorite child exercise things, and they’re mostly simple (Double Scoops my favorite)

🍖 Kung Lao convinces you to come to play outside, mostly in Liu Kang’s personal spot in the Wushi gardens (a lot of regressors like spending time there, it’s really nice and secretive)

❤️ And you two chase Johnny and Kenshi around (with him giving you a piggyback ride), you won, both Kenshi and Johnny surrendered

⭐️ Since your outside, you sit on Kenshi’s lap and pop bubbles that the others are making (Johnny got them from his room)

🌟 Or you guys walk by the nice smelling flowers, you on Kenshi’s hip (much to the other’s protest, and Kenshi’s joy)

🌩 When they get inside, Raiden gets some paper and decides its color time (something calming before bedtime)

🍖 You to color, and the fie of you end up making Liu Kang a pretty picture because you notice he doesn't have many portraits of himself (a terrible thing, Johnny declared)

❤️ You are passed OUT by nap time

⭐️ They made a plan too!! Just in case!!

🌟 Kung Lao got the couch all comfy with all of Liu Kang’s pillows and blankets (absolutely destroyed his bed, he’ll get scolded at later)

🌩 Johnny found your favortie show or movie, and closed all the curtains so it’d be darker

🍖 Kenshi and Raiden helped you get ready for bedtime and honestly, you were so sleepy from your long day running around

❤️ ^ If you need diapers or any sort of protection, Raiden will gently change you (best out of the four of them, he’s an older brother and uses them himself)

⭐️ Liu Kang comes back after what feels like (and is) hours of being gone

🌟 He can’t even be mad that Kung Lao stole all his blankets and pillows, you five are passed out in a major cuddle pile, and he has to keep himself from laughing

🌩 ^ Mostly because it seems you covered Johnny’s face (lightly) with a pillow to shush his snoring in your sleep

🍖 Went much better than expected, he expected he wouldn’t have a house anymore with the chaos, ngl

❤️ He might snap a quick photo with Johnny’s phone, but is a bit cautious of waking you five up

⭐️ He’ll kiss all of your foreheads, and remove the pillow off Johnny’s cage, and goes to continue his pouring God work in his office

🌟 He really liked his new portrait though, almost cried when he saw it, he’ll make sure to hang it up soon <3

Think about it everyday

i cant be the only one whos like , ultimate dream is to just go full baby right ? just wake up one day in a crib under cozy blankets , my bottle right beside me . watching cartoons in my caregivers arms while i fall back asleep peacefully , meal times in my highchair of apple sauce and yogurt , trying and failing to say my first words , having tummy time and watching baby einsteins ... getting placed in my bouncer because im fussy . the dream and i wish to live it

Regressor Raiden Hcs

🌩 Baby regressor and no one can tell me otherwise

🌩 But also regresses from about 2-4 (more 0-4, can regress to just a few months if he's having an extremely tough day)

🌩 Main CGs are Kung Lao, Liu Kang, and all his friends :]

🌩 Favorite little nicknames are Baby Boy, Little One, Sweetie, Sweetheart, Rai, Mr. Thunder (he finds it funny), and Little Lamb

🌩 Doesn't really like nicknames based off him being Earthrealm's champion because it just reminds him of how much stress he has :(

🌩 Kung Lao is his favorite CG because they both watch each other

🌩 But his favorite regression friend is Syzoth

🌩 Mostly because Syzoth just likes cuddling and doing baby activities with him

🌩 Which means Raiden can try to figure out what block goes into what hole, and Syzoth will cuddle up to him (and try to help out)

🌩 Very, very good boy, hates breaking rules

🌩 In fact, the only times he's ‘broken’ rules is when he's had an hard day and lashes out with a sobbing hissy fit

🌩 Crying, yelling, stomping his foot, throwing things, and just feeling icky over all

🌩 A quick line of ‘Oh my poor baby, come here, sweetheart,’ and he'll stop his hissy fit and come break down in your arms

🌩 Will probably request a quick bath because of how icky and bad he feels

🌩 Bathtime with little Raiden is very soft and sweet

🌩 Small splashes, and adores bubbles

🌩 Will continuously point at the soap that makes bubbles if he thinks he doesn't have enough (mostly all times, your going to either have to softly put your foot down or suffer having to get all the bubbles rinsed out of the tub)

🌩 Will put a bubble beard on himself and giggle as he tries to do it to you

🌩 (^ If you don't like it or don't want one, just gently grab his wrist and tell him not to, and he'll place the bubbles on his head instead)

🌩 Only used his powers once while small and it was turning a hissy fit that a bolt of lightning stroke down and it absolutely terrified him

🌩 His gauntlets are placed somewhere he can't reach while small, and he'll take them off while being upset because he doesn't want to hurt you or get scared again

🌩 Again, usually a very good boy, but sometimes he can be ‘naughty’ (although it's usually always an accident)

🌩 The younger he is, he won't really understand why your so upset and get a little confused (although does piece together that this specific action makes you have a mean tone so he'll most likely not do it again)

🌩 If he's bigger, a gentle scolding is all that's needed for his to get teary eyed and offer to fix his mistake

🌩 Although if Kung Lao is also small, Raiden will usually follow his lead, whether he's doing something naughty or not

🌩 Why? Because Kung Lao's older, and if Lao says it's okay, then it must be okay!! :D

🌩 Will get really upset if Kung Lao gets him in trouble though and will silently start crying

🌩 Don't worry, they always make up and Lao apologizes for getting him scolded

🌩 Raiden really likes smaller activities

🌩 Tummy time, trying to figure out what object goes into what shaped hole, being read to, sitting on your lap, all those things

🌩 Use to suck on his thumb, but now has a paci he uses

🌩 Although he's a bit cautious about using it because he doesn't wanna ruin his teeth

🌩 Lao calls him a hypocrite because he use to suck on his thumb with no but whatever 😒 (he's also a bit cautious of that too, although doesn't like how unsanitary it can be)

🌩 He uses his paci the most when he's getting sleepy, or needs the extra comfort, and sometimes just because he wants to

🌩 Best way to fix this? Munchies

🌩 Lao loves snacks, but Raiden really enjoyed little snacks

🌩 Baby yogurt bites, baby puffs, cereal, little muffins, all that jazz

🌩 Takes forever to eat them though (and will shyly ask you to get him more by sliding you over the bowl and giving you puppy eyes 🥺)

🌩 He adores both bottles and sippy cups and you really can't make him choose which is his favorite because they're both his favorites :(

🌩 Although does have preferences baseing of his age and how his day went

🌩 Likes just plain water or warm milk with some honey and cinnamon

🌩 Has a tiny habit of stealing things but it really silent about it

🌩 Johnny's sunglasses that have been missing for twenty minutes? On Raiden's head, he'll give you the biggest smile and excitedly point to them

🌩 Liu Kang's headband that he swore he placed down for 2 seconds and it disappeared? Raiden is not currently wearing it and singing along to his favorite show

🌩 Also a babbler if he's tinier, but will babble like he's having a normal conversation

🌩 Isn't exactly shy about babbling, but also only does it around closer friends

🌩 Likes goijg outside and sitting in the Whushu Garden and looking at the butterflies while having a picnic

🌩 But also really likes just sitting down and watching his favorite TV show

🌩 (^ I could see him really liking Ruby and Max, don't ask my why)

🌩 (^ Also the intro is really easy to sing to because it like . . . two words repeated- But he'll sing along at full volume with the biggest smile!! :D)

🌩 If your really busy while he's regressed and can't give him your undivided attention, he's usually understanding of it

🌩 Will request you do you work in the living room though so he can watch his TV show with you and you can do your work at the coffee table

🌩 If you need to be in your room or office though, he'll ‘sneakingly’ check up on you every so often

🌩 Sneakingly as in you can clearly hear his pitty patters and his little giggles when he peaks through the crack of your door 🥺

Caregiver Kenshi Takahashi and Regressor Johnny Cage Hcs! (MK1)

Kenshi discovered Johnny's secret of regression completely by accident one day during a visitation to the mansion. He walked in to find Johnny in a “peculiar” state in his room- leading to a rather embarrassing conversation between them later on as Johnny tried his best to thoroughly explain the situation and why he does what he does (regress). Kenshi, in no shape or form, displayed any signs of disgust or judgement towards the subject, and instead highly encouraged such coping mechanisms and praised Johnny for initially opening up about everything! 

✨Agere Johnny headcanons✨

Johnny is a very young age regressor, typically in the range of 1-3 years of age however depending on what has brought such mindset into fruition, can be even younger. It is also worth noting that Johnny is autistic, thus his experience as a regressor may vary in comparison to neurotypical littles so he may require some extra steps involved with his Care to ensure everything is suitable for his additional needs! (may experience sensory deprivation/overloads, further explanations to contextual scenarios, familiarity/routine for peace of mind ect.)

Typically, Johnny is mostly a non verbal little, mainly communicating through only small phrases or sounds. Due to him being very introverted and quite literally the opposite of his “grown” self, he can sometimes find it difficult to express his needs during regression, so he mainly resolves the issue of communications through physical means (pointing, leading CG Kenshi somewhere, grabbing at things ect.) The only time little Johnny will properly speak up is when he says “I love you” to Kenshi or the occasional time he desperately needs to vent or talk something out while still regressed (Usually expressed through incoherent babbles or simple,vague sentences as he's too young to fully state the issue in detail.)

A very emotional little! He's been through a lot in life yet hides it on an everyday basis with a cocky, confident persona- But when regressed, he finally feels he can let all of the emotions escape, lifting a massive stress weight off of him! He tends to whimper and cry a lot (poor baby!) But CG Kenshi is aware of the causing circumstances and does everything he can to soothe Little Johnny.

Is a VERY clingy little! He’ll want to be around Kenshi ALL THE TIME during regression, no matter how happy or sad he is feeling. Hold his hand? He wants it! Cuddles and kisses? A legal requirement! Being carried/held often? Yes please! Knowing Johnny he will probably get really upset and even go as far as pouting/full on tantrums if not given the attention his little self yearns so much for. If Kenshi isn't there to provide the comfort of physical affection to little Johnny for whatever reason- Second best bet to replace such aspects is his favourite comfort plush (who will more than likely be held by little Johnny majority of the time!)

[The comfort plush in question is a small “Aliens” Xenomorph plush whom he has named “Mr.Bubs”!- ^SHOWN BELOW^]

Johnny is primarily an indoor type of little, usually not enjoying the idea of going outside in the world,mainly as he feels vulnerable within this mindset and genuinely does not want to openly expose this side of his life to the public eye as he’s a big celebrity. Johnny would rather spend a quiet day indoors without the hustle and bustle for once in his life- indulging in other forms of entertainment like watching the TV, (he's a big fan of shows like pokemon!) playing pretend with his action figures and plush toys, as well as calming activities like colouring books. (very therapeutic for his small mind!) He prefers it when Kenshi gets himself involved, even if it's just him sitting idly keeping an eye on what he's doing or even asking questions and commenting on things. Rare occasions where little Johnny IS comfortable going outside however, he loves to visit places like aquariums, museums and fruit/flower fields! (He loves little memorable souvenirs so Kenshi always takes him to the gift stores/allows him to pick stuff up and take it home if given permission.

He's a crawler! Despite his regression age being 1-3, he prefers to simply crawl along the floor while regressing as he finds it helps him feel physically smaller and baby-like, as otherwise he's 6,0ft + tall! Johnny will crawl on the floor, roll on the floor, and will more than likely flop to the floor at Kenshi's feet and beg for “Uppies” or to be carried as his lil arms n legs hurt!

Little Johnny LOVES routines! When regressed he likes to wake up nice and early [6AM-7AM], Morning cuddles with Kenshi before breakfast (Usually a soft piece of toast or buttered crumpets) chill leisure time until lunch, [12:30PM- 13:30PM] (A sucker for PBJ sandwiches!) Leading up to an afternoon nap/snuggle season [For an hour or two]. Once awoken Johnny has more leisure time before having a nice meal (Chicken nuggets or mac and cheese is a must!) And a nice bath soak at [16:00PM-17:00PM] and finally, heading off to bed with Kenshi at roughly [18:00PM-18:30PM] after a bedtime story! If this routine is changed or broken without pre-warning or reason THIS WILL RESULT in increased anxiety/ distressing behaviours!

In terms of regression gear- Johnny has all the essentials! Plenty of bottles and sippy cups at hand, his own custom pacifier made specifically for him, a plethora of cosy and soft onesies to wear (usually really baggy, has a good and is themed off of favourite characters/animals) and lastly, a plentiful diaper stash. (Johnny mainly wears them exclusively for comfort/regression experience HOWEVER there has been some very rare occasions where he has had the odd few “accidents” now and again due to how small he was regressing.)

When Kenshi first agreed to be the Caregiver of Johnny when regressed, he knew he had to try his hardest for the sake of Johnny's mental health and positive recovery of wellbeing; which is VERY important to him. He wanted nothing but the best for Johnny, and that is exactly what he'll get! Johnny helped Kenshi with the struggles of his blindness so it’s only fair he returns the favour.

Seemingly without the knowledge of Johnny, Kenshi spent several days reconstructing a spare room within the Cage mansion, turning it into Johnny's very own comfy regression room for whenever he may need it! The room itself consists of a blue cosy theme and has everything from glowing wall stars, a little ceiling projector as a night light, plenty of free space to relax, a mass of storage options for playthings and probably the most impressive thing within the room is an adult sized cot/crib for Johnny to sleep in! (There's even enough room for Kenshi too!) The absolute lengths Kenshi went through to make this possible for little Johnny just shows how understanding and compassionate he is as a caregiver!

As Kenshi is now completely blind, overtime he has gotten thoroughly used to his surroundings. When Johnny is regressing SENTO WILL ALWAYS BE ON HAND- This gives Kenshi an extra advantage with his sight as being a caregiver, he wants to make sure he doesn't fumble or make an error despite his confidence.The sword will be securely strapped to kenshi's back and out of reach of little Johnny JUST IN CASE of an accident/injury where to somehow occur!

As a caregiver, Kenshi is VERY careful with what he says/does when Johnny is regressing. Kenshi avoids touchy subjects or things that may set him off (He doesn't like to hear about their Outworld quest when he's little- Seeing Kenshi get blinded and having to remember that when regressed isn't nice!) He wants Johnny to feel carefree, almost forgetting all that worries him in the big world.

Speaking of the blindness again, KENSHI REFUSES to remove his blindfold when Johnny is regressed. No matter how curious he is, if he whines, tugs and pulls on it to take a peak, it's not coming off. He's just scared of frightening little Johnny with his appearance,especially since there's just an abundance of scar tissue and nothing really “normal” under the blindfold.

Kenshi enjoys gifting Johnny with little items, trinkets and presents- Ranging from his favourite candies, something cool he found on his outings, and probably Johnny's favourite, perhaps a new stuffie. Little Johnny is good as gold, so it's only fair to treat him to something special now and again.

Despite Kenshi’s kind nature, he is also a fair minded individual and at times, can be a bit stern when necessary. It is not often but sometimes little Johnny can really test this man’s patience to the extreme so he will make sure to give reminders and kindly lecture Johnny on these behaviours and how they are wrong.

In addition to this, Kenshi will NEVER raise his voice or raise a hand towards Johnny no matter what he does. His parenting principles are well formatted but will not resolve issues with mental/physical violence under any circumstance as it’s morally wrong on so many levels and in general cannot bring himself to be that harsh. It isn’t in his nature to lash out in such ways so it is kept under good wraps.

Has plenty of nicknames for Johnny but his favourite one to call him is “Bunny boo”! It’s simple, cute and he feels suits regressed Johnny so perfectly due to his playful, innocent nature.

The Caregiver!Liu Kang Agenda lives on!

Caregiver Liu Kang Hcs! (MK1)

To me, Liu Kang just screams caregiver vibes so I wanted to write some heartfelt headcanons based on this viewpoint! ENJOY✨

*Will settle for almost any name given by his little (His own name,daddy, dada ect) but will be absolutely thrilled if you come up with something creative (especially if it relates to fire and/or dragons!)🔥🐉

*Being the literal protector of Earthrealm and the God of fire, there's nothing Liu Kang can't do or isn't capable of!- Including taking care of little ones! As a caregiver, you're his pride and joy. NOTHING will ever get in the way of your needs as you are his priority! 

*He definitely loves to teach his little about the big, wide world around them and is actually a very outgoing person about it. Liu Kang loves to take you outdoors in all kinds of weather (rain, sun and snow) and let you take in all the natural beauty, as well as helping you explore. He’ll tell you interesting facts about natural wildlife. When outdoors, he will encourage you to pick up little things like leaves, flowers, twigs as little “souvenirs” for your outings, compiling all these natural trinkets into a scrapbook so you always remember the fun times you had during the day.

*Liu Kang loves to read during his freetime, so it's no surprise when he asks his little one if it were ok for him to read stories to them for entertainment. He’ll have you all cuddled up in a warm blanket, close bye to him so you can read along with him and see the pretty pictures inside the book! Definitely the type of man to put on the silly voices for characters in the books while reading, it just makes the experience more fun for your little self.

*MEDITATION IS A MUST! Liu Kang believes it is highly beneficial for little ones to be able to fully relax themselves, to think and process what's going on within their minds, and to reflect on their growth and improvements. He will prompt them to join him during these sessions so that his little doesnt feel alone during such a tender and personal moment, he’ll be there to aid and support them for whatever reason the little may become distressed or overwhelmed with such times. To comfort you, Liu would gladly sit you in his lap and hold you close to his chest, circling his hand in soft motions on your back and the occasional gentle pat to soothe you.

*Liu Kang is all for gentle discipline and respect when it comes to looking after a little. He knows how important regressing is for littles so when you’re regressing, he will make sure to prompt you to do so further to increase its positive effects. He will offer small rewards and treats if he feels you are particularly trying your best to handle the situation and are coping well, as he knows the motivation will enable you to regress comfortably and successfully! 

*Liu Kang is a man of order and routine, so he’ll make sure all of your needs are catered for at the times when needed most/when necessary! He will notice the subtle cues and behaviour patterns given off by his little (Pouty when hungry, sluggish when tired ect) so for him, this is beneficial for his daily planning as he will know exactly what's up and how to deal with it. Liu Kang will arrange set time schedules for essentials such as playtime, naps, mealtimes and baths based on his littles behavioural cues so it's easier for him and his little to efficiently communicate and traverse through the obstacles of everyday life together.

*PS- He has a secret collection of stuffed animals and will openly and willingly let you pick one from his stash for you to keep for when you regress, as he feels it will help aid you positively. He will remind you that the stuffed animal is your friend and that you should take good care of it. :)

This is my first post so it’s not gonna be the best and obviously ooc but the brain worms were calling to me

Backstory (Pretty long, sorry)

•Liu Kang first learned about their regression when Kung Lao returned from his mission in outworld with Johnny and Kenshi

•He and Raiden had walked to the infirmary where Kung Lao was getting checked over by healers

•There was a slight commotion in the room as they entered the room, Kung Lao cowering in the corner of the room, his knees tucked into his chest and his face his hands

•The healers tried to coerce him out of the corner as he sobbed, crying out whenever someone touched him

•Raiden knew exactly what was happening, whispering a sad, “Lao…”

•As soon as he heard his nickname, Kung Lao shot from his spot in the corner into Raidens arms, crying into Raidens shoulders crying for “Rai”

•Liu Kang and the healers stood there, dumbfounded. Raiden gave him a pleading look which Liu Kang responded to by asking for the healers to leave, agreeing to do the check up himself

•As Kung Lao calmed himself, Raiden led him to the cot in the middle of the room, allowing him to crawl into Raidens lap, wrapping his arms around his shoulders

•Raiden began explaining everything to Liu Kang. What age regression is, how they were both regressors, how they were the only ones who knew about, and that they took care of each other.

•”Something on the mission must have really set him off. I’ve never seen him this inconsolable and…small”

•As Liu Kang processed this information, Kung Laos thumb slowly found his way to his mouth

•Raiden slowly rubbed his best friends back to comfort him. Through his remaining tears, Kung Lao told them about what he had seen on the mission, Kenshi being blinded, the soul stealers, and worst of all, the horrors of Shang Tsungs Laboratory. At least, he told them the best a distraught toddler could

•Liu Kang eventually migrated to the cot next to the pair as he listened to Kung Lao

• While out of his element, Liu Kang took the time to speak: “That must have been scary, little one. But your safe now at the Academy. Both of you .”

•Lui Kang was careful with his words, but felt at ease when Raiden gave him a smile and nod. Liu Kang reached out to put an hand on Kung Laos shoulder

•Kung Lao, looked up from Raidens shoulder, but did not move away. Instead, he let out a small sigh and closed his eyes, feeling tired

•The trio stayed like that for a while, until sniffles turned into soft snores

•Raiden laid Kung Lao on the bed, covering him with a blanket

•Raiden and Liu Kang stood and headed towards the door, Raiden speaking: “I’ll watch him for now. Thank you for your understanding Lord Liu Kang. I just ask that you do not speak of this to anyone. This is important to him. To me. We handle our stress in this way. I just…would really like to keep this between us”

•Liu Kang listened intently, then put his hand on Raidens shoulder: “This is between us, Raiden. I understand that healing comes in many different forms. And if either of you need help or to be…taken care of, I am always here to help”

•While Liu Kang now understood some things about 2 of his champions he didn’t before, he wasn’t officially their caregiver

•That changed after the defeat of Titan Shang Tsung

•A knock on his personal quarters alerted him at this strange hour. It couldn’t be earlier than 1 A.M. and he never got visitors this late unless something was very wrong

•He opened the door to see a distraught Kung Lao, looking extremely worried, with a similarly upset Raiden tucked under his arm, clinging on to his shirt

•Kung Lao gave him a pleading look, speaking with a strained voice: “He’s little. He dropped a little while ago and I’m close to dropping too and I thought coming here would be bes-“

•Liu Kang cut him off by lifting Raiden into his arms and on his hip, using the other arm to wrap around Kung Laos shoulders, pulling him in the room and shutting the door behind him

•Liu Kang led them to the large bed, resting all of them in the headboard. He murmured words soft words of comfort to both of the sniffling Littles. He would figure out what upset them so much later. Right now, calming them down was his priority.

•Liu Kang had one Little tucked under each arm, softly rubbing there backs as their breathing slowed. His words were soft: “It’s ok now, sweet things. You have nothing to worry about anymore. Your safe here.”

•It wasn’t until Raiden softly murmured “Dada” that something shifted in Liu Kang. The need to protect was lit, and he felt prepared to do what he needed to in order to ensure their comfort and safety. They had entrusted him with something so precious and special and fragile. They put there most vulnerable selves in his hands. And he was damn sure gonna see to it that they knew and felt that love and care

•After that, coming to Liu Kang felt natural. It was a safe space for Kung Lao and Raiden. Eventually, Liu Kang adopted the names ‘Daddy’ and ‘Dada’. Their little gear had migrated to his room. That was when they all knew and felt that not only was Liu Kang A caregiver but THEIR caregiver

The actual HCs

•Raiden is easily the softer regressor of the two, easily regressing to very young

•His age range is usually between 1-3, but after particularly hard missions, it can get into the months

•Kung Laos spirited personality brings is age to about 3-6, but like Raiden, certain factors can lower that age to about 2

•Raiden usually spends most of his time regressed in Liu Kangs arms. On his hip, in his lap, and at bed time, being cradled

•Kung Lao has way too much energy for his own good, but he still loves getting cuddles from his CG, especially when he’s sleepy

•When Raiden is on the older end of his age range, he’ll be more inclined to play with Kung Lao, although he rarely is able to keep up

•Kung Lao loves his toy ninjas and his dinosaurs. He doesn’t like sharing with Raiden (which, to be fair, is because the toys usually end up in Raidens mouth) but Lui Kang always tells him too

•Raidens age usually make it hard for him to speak properly. The most he says is usually Dada, Baba and Lao (even though it sounds more like Ow)

•Kung Laos hat and Raidens amulet are put away AT ALL TIMES while regressed

•After many accidents, Raiden was out in diapers and Kung Lao (sometimes) where’s pull ups - he was not happy about it

•What most don’t know is that the back of Liu Kangs quarters lead to a secret entrance to the gardens. During times when nobody is supposed to be there, he’ll let his Littles play

•Kung Lao loves running around and trying to catch the butterflies

•Raiden mostly sits on his blanket and giggles when the butterflies land on his face

•These are Liu Kangs favorite moments

•After a year of taking care of his boys, he got them gifts

•Raiden got a special pacifier, a couple onesies, some wooden blocks and a story book

•Kung Lao got a pair of overalls, some shorts, a couple of awesome shirts, a Johnny Cage doll (please don’t tell Johnny) and new net to catch butterflies

•Liu Kang also put a pacifier in there for him but he doesn’t want to talk about it

•Bed time is gentle. The boys get baths, one after another. Usually Raiden gets his bath and bedtime story while Kung Laos playing one last time before bed

•Raidens bath is soft and sweet. He only lightly splashes around, giggling softly. He’ll hold the bath toys up to Liu Kang, wait for him to tell him what it is, and pick up another

•Raiden has a special bath time pacifier that wraps around his neck like a lanyard. Liu Kang has lost too many pacifiers without it

•Raidens eyes usually start to grow heavy while Liu Kang is rinsing his hair

•Once Raiden is dried and dressed, Liu Kang gives him a bottle. These moments are quiet, Raiden cradled in his arms on a rocking chair*, softly drinking the milk

•Liu Kang holds a book in one hand, softly reading to the baby. By the time the book is finished, the bottle is empty and Raidens almost asleep

•Liu Kang gently burps him and lays him down. Giving him a small forehead kiss, he leaves to start Kung Laos bath

•Bath time with his older little is VERY different

•Water is splashed and bubbles are everywher

•Kung Lao loves to race his little boats with Liu Kang (he wins every time)

•Kung Lao is much more fussy about letting Liu Kang clean him, trying to dodge the wash cloth (he loses every time)

•Eventually, like Raiden, Kung Lao is too tired to put up much of a fuss, allowing Liu Kang to quickly finish up the bath and get him dried and clothed

•Typically, Kung Lao likes his story directly from his bed, though he does like to be tucked under Liu Kangs arm

•Kung Lao ask a lot of questions during the story, which Liu Kang happily answers

•As he slowly falls asleep, Liu Kangs rubs his back softly with his free hand. At the end of the story, Kung Lao is softly snoring and Liu Kang gives him a small forehead kiss

•As Liu Kang rises from the bed, he looks at his two babies a smiles softly

•The peace he has created in this room is just as meaningful as peace that has been created anywhere else in the realms
