I had a thought today, just about you. And I realised, staring at what was our fish, that you would never be satisfied. With all the money I made, the effort I put in, the food I would make. It was never enough for you. From the start, I pushed us forward. I wanted a future that you said you did too. And it wasn't enough. I fell apart, trying so hard for something for you. I never got it right. You were never satisfied. And it ruined us.

And I don't regret it at all. I dont miss a damn thing about you. I've done more in the time we've been apart than the years we were together. I've grown, more than I ever thought I would. I am myself, without the knowledge that I have to be you, too. Maybe I'm bitter, maybe ive just realised that this was inevitable no matter the promises. But now?

She makes promises with she keeps. She tells me I'm pretty, that im the most gorgeous person she's ever seen; a lie im slowly starting to believe. She cried when she finally moved forward just a step, cause shes been just as set back as me. She's learning she's growing and the difference of just being here to watch her grow is... Lovely.

And its returned. I tell her ive been offered a gm position, she gets so excited she hugs me. I joke about getting a cute little sports car(cause I need one!!) And she laughs when we test drive them.
