The first time it happens, it’s three in the morning.

Tim is sat slumped over his laptop, his vision blurring as he tries to focus on the report he’s reading for the WE board meeting first thing in the morning, his bones aching from a rough night on patrol. He’s probably slept six hours in the last four days.

He’s so close to drifting off, and then he hears the sound of Jason’s bare feet gently padding over.

“Alright,” Jason says softly, his voice still thick with sleep. “That’s enough. You said you were coming to bed three hours ago. You’re no good to anyone if you’re exhausted.”

Tim makes a noise which comes out as a mix between a whine and a grunt, and the fact that he’s too tired to even talk means that Jason is probably right.

Jason wordlessly closes Tim’s laptop lid for him and gently sets it aside.

What happens next catches Tim slightly off guard though.

Jason picks Tim up and hoists him over his shoulder, as if Tim were no heavier than a sack of potatoes. Tim goes limp as he lets Jason carry him to the bedroom, feeling slightly giddy.

He forgets how strong Jason is sometimes. He forgets how easily Jason can pick Tim up and throw him round and hold him down-

If he weren’t so exhausted, he’d be begging Jason to fuck him.

The second time it happens, they’re having sex.
