Where are you watching Hoje Eu Quero Voltar Sozinho (the way he looks)!? Does it have English subtitles? Can you share the link? I loved the short and was excited for them when they announced it would become a full length movie.

Absolutely!!!!! The film is wonderful and I’d love to buy it if it comes out in my region with English subs, but for now! Here’s how to watch it with English subtitles!

Okay, so I prefer to download rather than stream, so apologies if you were hoping for a stream link. (But on the flip side, I’m not sure if a stream with english hardsubs included even exists, so…)

Step One!

Do you have VLC Player? If not, download it! It’s free and a nifty player for syncing up different audio/subtitle tracks, and you’ll probably end up using it in the future anyway! Most importantly, this is the only player that’ll sync up the subtitle track for the film! Go download/install it and come back here when you’re done!

Step Two!

Movie time! And I used torrents, so…the most important thing is that you download this file: “The.Way.He.Looks.[Hoje.Eu.Quero.Voltar.Sozinho].2014.WEBRip.x264.HORiZON-ArtSubs”. It is 1.62 GB, .mkv. Use whatever torrent site you prefer, it’ll probably pop up. I used TPB, and this seems to be the same file if you want a specific download link. The reason why I emphasize that you need this file is that I know that it syncs up with the subtitle track that I downloaded.

Oh, to download torrents you need a torrent downloader. I use uTorrent.

Step Three!

Download the subtitles here! I have no idea if this will work with a different movie file; you can try it, but it probably won’t sync up well. It is 80 KB, .srt, and the file name should be the same as the movie file I listed up above.

If the link dies or vanishes for some reason, send me an email address and I’ll get the .srt file to you. You’re on your own for the movie file, but I get the feeling that that’s the part that’s easier to find, anyway.

Step Four!

Make sure the .mkv and .srt files are both on your computer, and open the .mkv with VLC Player! If you have the .mkv and .srt files in the same folder, VLC will automatically import the subtitle track. If you have them in separate folders, then you have to import it yourself like so:

Just select “Add Subtitle File,” right above what I highlighted, and then navigate to wherever the .srt file is. Or you could just pop the two files into the same folder and save yourself a(n easy, but extra) step.

Step Five!

Watch the movie! And try not to squeal, “Oh, Leoooooo" 90% of the time. (You will fail, but that’s okay.) 

Once again, I apologize if you were hoping for a stream link, but I’m not sure if one with English subs exists yet. (If anyone knows of one, let me know and I’ll put a link in here!)
