Hey guys, I've started up a little side business selling things I've sewn on etsy. Right now it's mostly scrub hats but I'm working on a few other things soon to add. If anyone is interested here is the link.

Those little 3M hooks that you attach to the wall are great for masks and a garmin watch.

One of our neighbors down the dock sold their house and are moving onto their boat and the guy is up the mast right now and I hear "hey honey, i can see our house from here" and then i hear the biggest sigh that makes me think this is not the first or second or even third time he's made this joke.

Back into the water we go! It feels SO good to be back in the water! Haulouts are stressful cause that's my entire home swinging around up there.
Got back to our slip and my neighbor had a cup of coffee for me and was there to throw a line to. (I also had an audience of people watching me dock, which always makes things a little more stressful but thankfully it went well).
Now just back to a normal boat day. Scrub the deck, wash the cushions, do the dishes (finally! We had no water when we were out) and do laundry.

Before and after.
We're ready to go back in the water but there are delays again, so 🤞fingers crossed🤞 it'll be tomorrow morning! I am so ready to not have to climb up a 16 foot ladder to get on my boat.

Bottom paint is on! My husband is really hauling ass to get this done quickly. Last up are the black stripes which are getting changed to blue and then just changing the zinc.

We had a rough go at getting pulled out.
First attempt? Releasing the mizzen halyard was not enough to give them room to pull our boat into the lift. So they had to wait a day to get our permission to unattach our forestay.
Second attempt was rough! My husband was on the boat to back in it and a worker let a line into the water and it got stuck in the prop bad. Finally got it hauled out by the end of the second day but they wouldn't pressure wash it that day, and left it in the lift for the night (so we slept in it like that).
Today after many many hours of waiting around they suddenly needed the lift, so they finally washed it and put it up on blocks.
Two and a half days of work that could have been done is gone, and my husband took a week off for this.
Super bummed but hoping to salvage the situation and at least get the very bottom painted.
