Never forget that Spock’s Kirk impression includes a half-lidded gaze and a pouted lower lip.
Never forget that he called Bones “Bones.”
Never forget that Bones’s reaction was to stare at him and then faint in his lap.
Never forget a single goddamn thing about this scene.

@taleirrh-of-romulus liked for a starter
Spock, accompanied by a group of security officers, approached the teleporter room. They had recently beamed a Romulan on board, the officers were merely a precaution. After all, with the current standing of the Federation with the Romulan Empire, it was only logical they took this approach.
He was chosen by the captain to do this because, in Jim’s eyes, Spock was the only crew member on board with anything in common with the Romulans, so naturally, he was the best choice. As much as Spock argued against Vulcans and Romulans having anything in common these days other than a common ancestry, the captain’s decision was final.
As they came to the doors, both of the security officers drew and readied their laser. Spock offered that they lower their weapons, as to not appear hostile to their new guest. With bated breath, they did so, as the doors opened.

He raised his brow at this.
“No, we do not talk about our feelings, either. Typically, I would play a version of three-dimensional chess.”
“I would highly recommend it to drinking away your problems.” Ever still the blunt Vulcan.
❝Hmm. That’s certainly— unusual, but I suppose not unheard of. And understandable. It’s not like any of us drink it for the taste…❞
Even as the man speaks, he’s tugging up the hem of his — what almost resembles a silver lamé skirt, shamelessly tugging a shiny, metal flask from beneath one of his stockings, flicking the cap off with his thumb and raising it to his burgundy lips.
❝What do you do on a night like this, then? Just— talk about your feelings?❞

Getting a really bad stomach ache so I’m cutting replies short for now. I might do some on mobile, but the ones that are formatted will have to wait. I need to lay down.
I haven’t forgotten about the starter calls! I’ll do them when I get back as well!

Spock did not think of the consequences of having lunch with the doctor, at least, not those humans would imply. “I will meet you then.” With a nod, the Ambassador turned to leave the doctor to finish her work.

“Sounds good to me. I have a bit o finish up here, meet me at 10 Forward in about half an hour?” she said with a kind smile. She wasn’t sure it would be a good idea to invite such a distinguished ambassador to her quarters while her son was away, people would talk and that’s how rumors got started.

“Could you tell me exactly where in space we are?” He wasn’t sure if she would know, but event he closest planet would be enough for him. He also thought it logical to pursue every avenue, regardless of how far fetched they seemed. “Perhaps, you could also tell me the current star date.”

“Well, as I understand it we’re a long way from any Starfleet bases or anything like that. It is pretty astounding that there would be another Starfleet shipout here,” Kes eplied doing her best to remember how far they were from the nearest Starfleet outpost. She had a hard time recalling.

Spock stayed behind with the commander to hear what he had to say, watching Elizabeth run excitedly down the corridor.
“As far as I can remember, illness was not a big part of my childhood. But,”he looked to the man now, “from what she’s told me, it would seem we were both born under different circumstances.” He was sure there was something the doctors on his Enterprise could do, but he had no way of contacting them and certainly did not want to risk any more disturbances than was needed.
Then again, if they can’t do anything here, it is possible they could do nothing even with the better technology.
“Really?” It’s Elizabeth’s father who speaks. “If Lizzie so much as comes into contact with a disease she’ll die.”
Elizabeth’s blue eyes look from her father to the man. “I can’t leave the Enterprise. And anyone who comes into contact with me has to go through deacon, or I do. That’s where we’re going right now.” The lift doors open and Elizabeth skips out into the hall. “Come on, Dr. Phlox has pets we can snuggle!”
Her father looks a the man as Elizabeth skips off down the hall to the sick bay doors. “Sorry about her, she just wants a friend… but you’re really healthy? You’ve never been sick? You developed normally and healthily? Elizabeth, she’s nearly 9 but lookin’ at her most people guess her to be about 6, she’s been so sick her entire life she doesn’t grow. Sh-she’ll be lucky to see her 13th birthday.”
“Come on! You can feed his bat!” Elizabeth calls.

justgarak:
“Why, thank you. In truth, this is just a humble transport vessel.” Nevermind that it was also a century ahead of whatever time period he’d landed himself in. He could lie his way though if necessary.
He paused, uncertain about how much he could divulge. Who knew time travel could be such a hassle? Garak suddenly wished he was on board a Klingon or Romulan ship. A cloaking device would have come in handy.
“I was not expecting a Federation ship in this part of space.”
He looked at the being in front of him. Was he in Cardassian space? That was not anywhere close to where he suspected he was. "In truth, we were not expecting to be in this part of space." Perhaps there was something wrong with the transporters again, which in turn transported him to this vessel.
He opened his communicator, which immediately gave a dissatisfying whir as it failed to connect. "Moreso, it would appear I was not expecting to be in this part of space. Tell me, what is the name of this vessel?"
#justgarak#help i have all these big gifs and no program to shrink them to a decent size#[ file: deep space turtle chase ;]#totally renaming the verse to that#even though theres no turtle chase#it just sounds cool
