Magnus: *finds his mother after she commits suicide allegedly because of him and experiences further trauma when his step father blames him for it and calls him and abomination causing him to lash out and accidentaly kill him.*

Lorenzo: *Has no trouble talking casually about his mother who arranged to have him painted by one of the most influentials painters there was hinting that she wasn’t at all repulsed by him and talks fondly of growing up in el siglo de oro.*

Magnus: *has to figure out about his powers and the downworld on his own and the closest thing to a mentor he has ever had is his definitly evil probably abusive father under whose ‘care’ he spends years of his life that still haunt him today. Still kind enough to adopt every downwolder in existence so they don’t have to go through the same.*

Lorenzo: *Worked under the High Warlock of Madrid which gave him experience ergo he’s had at least one older wiser figure in his life teaching him. Has yet to be seen not actually making life harder for people under his protection.*

Magnus: *Sees how dangerous the ley lines corruption is after it hurts/endangers Madzie, Cat and Alec as well as a lot of innocense so he takes it upon himself to fix it even though he has no responsible whatsoever to do so and has to both break the law and endanger himself in the process.*

Lorenzo: *someone is literally maimed at one of his parties and not only doesn’t do anything to protect his guests and people allegedly under his protection but lashes out at the person who does paranoically blaming him for all of it and then dont moves a finger to investigate or solve the problem but gadly takes the credit anyway.*

Magnus: *faces one of his worth fears, gives up his magic and goes to literal hell to protect NY from Lillith.*

Lorenzo: *Does nothing but make things difficult to Magnus and take advantadge of the situation to excert his ‘power’ over him and make very low digs at him.*

Lorenzo: “Magnus was born with a silver spoon in his mouth! I’ve worked so hard!”

Alec: “MaGNus WaS boRn wIth a sIlVer sPOon iN hIs MOuth! I’Ve wOrkeD so hARd!”
