I've always wanted to do one of these kinds of videos, but I could 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 figure out how people get that type of footage...

Until today! :D

(There are other ways to do it, I'm sure, but I can't for the life of me figure out how :P)

This is just under thirty minutes of recording, all balled into just under one minute of time-lapse :]

(I did leave out about five minutes of the beginning, which is of me simply drawing and erasing over and over again, trying to find that perfect shape and size I was looking to start with lol)

...Yeah I'm not your usual "draw circles until you get the right one" type drawer :) (Kudos to y'all who do that, that is an amazing method I've never been able to do 🫶)

All my drawing is is for me to invision it, decide whatever it looks like, get some references, and desperately try to put it on the paper ;-;

And sometimes it works, but most times it just... no. XD

Liberty's an Amur Leopard who's a pyrotechnic maniac lol (Thank you to rexraptor2006, over on Insta, for helping me design her! :D)

This art took. So. Long. >^< But it was worth it and it gave me some good practice with... well, basically everything that I need practice with! :P (except with backgrounds, I hate backgrounds sm haha *eye twitch* )

Did I perhaps go too far with how sparkly the sparklers are? Maybe. But if getting burned and blown up by fireworks wasn't a problem irl... I'd be doing exactly what Liberty is doing, but even worse :) 👐✨️

I've been burned by a sparkler before, the ones they encourage you to hold in your hand, and it did not feel good

Please

Do not ever hold a firework while it is lit!

Water your lawn so fires do not even have a chance of starting!

Please make sure your loved ones who were/are in the army feel safe and not scared! ❤️

Please keep all of your animals inside your house so that they don't run away from the loud booms that scare them and get lost! 🩵

And most importantly, please have fun this Independence Day!! All we ask is that you do it safely and smartly! :) ❤️🤍💙

Heya! If any of y'all are playing with fireworks this year, remember to look up basic firework safety! (Set up on a level surface far away from any flammable materials, don't stick your head or any body parts over active fireworks, don't point them at yourself or anyone, dispose properly, etc.)

Sorry this took a couple days to post, I needed a break because I am sooo sore from being in costume for 9 hours lol

Them: *reffering to Brighteyes* "Is this your daughter?" Me: *nod* Them: "she's growing really well" -if they were asking me, yes, she's my daughter, if they were asking Frostbite, no that's his sister 😂

Favorite reactions and interactions of the 3rd day:

The candy pirate gave me a quest of taking a piece of candy to someone and sending his regards for him -I completed my first official quest, y'all! o/ Although the person I delivered the candy to didn't seem to like the candy pirate (cough something about being arrested by the watchmen) so I dunno if it was a good or a bad quest lol

Brighteyes got to meet a fellow hand puppet that was a freaking ah-mazing dragon -THERE WAS SMOKE COMING OUT OF THE MOUTH OF IT AND IT MADE DRAGON NOISES, IT WAS SO COOOOOLLL!!!! 🤩🫶

One kid we were walking past was like "please don't eat my soul, Wendigo", and you can bet I veered off our path and went straight towards him to make Brighteyes threaten him! 😂 Then the next time we walked past him he was like "at least he's not trying to eat me this time"... causing me to stop dead in my tracks, turn around, and stalk towards him to do it again more boldly (his friend: "you shouldn't have said anything, this is on you, this is all on you")... also causing him to tell me to eat his friends sitting right next to him, which I did, causing them to play along and swipe at me with their fake dagger and sword! Then later on we saw them again and he told me his friend called us ugly (I don't think his friend really did and he was just saying that to get me to spare him lol), and it basically led to Brighteyes biting his friend's hat and having the friend say "how dare you!" and then us parting ways very casual-like - they all loved it, don't worry 😂❤️

The photographer found us again and had me pose with a couple for a picture that they wanted with me -hopefully they weren't too creeped out by Brighteyes being inches away from their face like the photographer instructed me to do haha

Another photographer was there and apparently every time we walked by, he put his camera up XD -I imagine I might show up a lot in photos of the fair owo

A guy tried to make his kids less scared of Brighteyes by petting her and having her kiss his cheek -I have respect for that dad for doing his best even though it didn't work o7

I got a task to stand behind a guy and just stare him down, which led to both him and Brighteyes "bonding" with each other -he was chill and was just doing mouth motions with his hand while Brighteyes clacked her teeth together lol

Two clown creatures(?) loved Brighteyes and one of them had a squeaky toy, somewhat kazue thing, for a voice and squeaked so much while pointing at her and enthusiastically stomping her feet -the squeaks were actually kinda cute for her character ^^

One guy was super excited to find out the bones of my costume are real, and he then told his sister and they both got pictures with me -their excitement had me grinning so hard XD

Got to meet another Wendigo and share some respect for each other's designs -his was more of a goat-viking style which was really cool! :D

The guy who "stabbed" me! –Yeah, remember him from the first day?– stopped and talked to my brother and had a standoff with him because their characters (a Crusader, my brother, and an assassin, him) are supposed to be rivals against each other -I love it when people get into character like that :3

Most least favorite interaction of probably the whole thing:

I accidentally scared another child again while trying to convince his sister that Brighteyes wouldn't bite....... he was probably just a little over 1 year old, still in a stroller, and was looking so intently at Brighteyes and like almost reaching for her, and I made the wrong judgement and moved her forward, thinking he wanted to pet her, and he just turned his face away and immediately started crying...💔 -I'm thankful his parents weren't mad about it and how they tried to reassure me that he'll get over it and probably just forget about it since he's so young, but it absolutely shattered my heart, I'm so sorry buddy 😭💔💔

Most favorite interaction:

One of the knights, the actual people that do fights at the fair, the professional fighters who travel around from event to event with teams to compete, wanted a picture with us... they couldn't catch us during the second day but they found us on the third one and took pictures with us. -what. An. HONOR. AHHH!!! I'M A LITTLE STARSTRUCK TBH!!! 😭😭😭❤️❤️

Most most favorite interaction:

One of the cosplayers (who was playing her own original character too that was so cool and hand-made by her [even the stitching since she apparently doesn't have a sewing machine, and talk about commitment bc that's a ton of work ;-;]) saw us and waved, I went over to her, and we connected instantly when she started trilling/chittering to Brighteyes. I've never met another person who can do that noise as well as I can until I met her, and good grief it was so good. 🤌 Then later on she had a stuffed animal axolotl, Jambalaya (I loved him), and we made him and Brighteyes chitter at each other. Throughout the time we were there, we crossed paths multiple times and did the chitters every time with our little ones whenever we saw each other, all the way until she just decided to tag along with us and make our duo a trio! 🥺 She was so nice and sweet with us, even going as far as to shake the jingle bells on her wrists so I could hear where she was when I couldn't see her! 😭❤️ Her costume was awesome, her personality even more-so, and she had the best sense of humor while playing her mute character (who's name is either Jester or Creature by the way :) ) -my friend if there is any slim chance you ever see this, PLEASE lmk it's you?🙏 Because my biggest regret is not getting your name or your socials if you have them, or even getting a photo with you!! ❤️🖤

Day 3!!!

Last day of the fair :,)

Favorite reactions/interactions of the 2nd day:

"Make it look like she's eating my friend's head!" -*she was referring to Brighteyes* that's a new one I haven't heard yet XD

Photographer grabbing me, my brother, my bro's friend, and a random guy we didn't know for a photoshoot and having us pose together -I can't wait to see those photos, and if I find them somewhere you can bet I'll post 'em XP

The other photographer who I spotted taking pictures of me and gave her a few poses -they weren't much of poses bc I'm uncomfortable in front of the camera but still :)

The group of kids that gave us tiny ducks wearing hats -it was so random, we literally didn't even talk to them for more than ten seconds and they just gave us them... I love it lol 🦆!!!!

The group of older teens who took pictures with us, and then caught us later to give me a lil' red dino -I can understand that one... but the ducks man, they were out o' the blue :')

The candy pirate who stopped us immediately and was like "oh you guys are gettin' candy!" -he was so excited about our costumes <3

The kid who kept running into us randomly throughout the day and said hi every single time he saw us -he was so friendly and even said goodbye to us when leaving 😭💙

The girl who asked me if I was smiling behind my mask while taking a picture with her -yes I was, I always do even though my face literally isn't visible LOL

People's reactions to Brighteyes's bow -she's the most popular thing in my entire costume so far!

The fine lass who loved Brighteyes and later saw me again and was overheard saying "yeah that's Brighteyes, I love Brighteyes, she's the best" -I love you whoever you are, you're the best, not me!!! <3333

I really don't like it when people are scared of us... makes me feel bad and sad :( -it's mostly kids which makes me feel worse... I promise we don't bite!!

The 4 year old hiding behind his dad from us, and yet catching us like 20 minutes later for round two for a pet of Brighteyes, a high-five from our Nazgûl, and a fist bump from Frostbite -it made me feel so much better when they came back because he wasn't scared of us anymore 😭🥹❤️

The people who aren't afraid to approach us for pictures or just to talk -never be afraid to approach us when we're cosplaying! :D

Most most favorite thing that happened:

They were having knight fights and the winner of one of the rounds, who was the captain of their team, proposed to his girlfriend and she said YES!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS TO THEM!!! WHOO!!!! \^^/ 💞🎊🎊🎊🎉🎉🎉🎉🎊🎊💞

Still in the high 80's... but we're going again anyway! ^^

Side note: miss Brighteyes's (yes that's her official name now :) ) first showing went so much better than I thought it would, and I'm really happy with how it went and so honored that people liked her as much as they did ~^^~

Favorite reactions and interactions of the 1st day:

"OH MY GOSH SHE'S GOT A BOW TOOOOO" *said while stomping her feet in happiness*

"A Wendigo is a Wendigo no matter what you make it" that guy "stabbed" me with his costume's knife XD

Head tilting battle with another Wendy he actually intimidated me ;-;

The lady beside me petting Brighteyes for comfort when she didn't want to watch a part of one of the shows they have little events for entertainment :)

The little girl who had me put a sticker on her bingo/treasure hunt map Idk which it was :P but it was like, me? You want ME to put a sticker on your thing????! I was so honored <3

The bloodcurdling scream that I got from a child when her friend pointed me out to her I DID NOT MEAN TO SCARE YOU, I'M SORRY 💔😭😭

The smoll pupper who came up to me, put his front paws up on my leg, and streeeetched up to sniff at Brighteyes -he was so freakin' cute 😭💕
