A comic about NicoMaki lowering their guards so much while making out that they completely forget to banter - With Nico who gets so open and vulnerable that she forgets to put on her usual useless, jokey bravado. And Maki, who gets so distracted from making out with Nico that she completely overlooks a perfectly good quip (but you can bet your ass she'll get back to her perfect, sharp form once she's calmed down, lmao.)

Maki was the target of the punchline in my last comic, so I thought I'd make it Nico this time. Again, I hope the punchline makes sense here.

edelgard, dimitri, and claude + first kiss

edelgard:

edelgard is always worrying, it seems like there’s hardly ever a time she’s not stressed out over her ambitions. you love her, and want to help see those ambitions through, you just want to help her ease her mind a bit.

“i brought something for you!” you smile, carrying in a tray filled with tea snacks and a teapot filled with her favorite lavender blend. she looks up at you for a moment, the ghost of a smile on her lips. “just like old times.” 

for a little while, the two of you take your mind off of the war by reminiscing on the past, and her catching you up on all that had happened in the five years you were gone. she had missed you so ardently. 

hubert’s knocking at her chambers snaps you out of the quiet moment, as he requests to talk to edelgard about their march tomorrow. reality came crawling back, and edelgard’s facade is back up as she gets up to go to another meeting. you frown, grabbing her wrist and pulling her to face you.

“thank you for having tea with me,” you smile, and her pale cheeks flush red at the closeness between you two. “i hope we live to enjoy a quiet moment like this again.” she nods, answering with a firm “we will”. she leans down to press a kiss to your forehead, but you move up to meet her lips with your own. she pulls back much too soon for your (and her) liking, but she knew she couldn’t leave hubert waiting. her fingers reach up to touch her lips out of shock, giving you one last soft smile she reserved for you and you alone before turning to leave. 

dimitri:

dimitri had a hard time admitting just how much you had wormed your way into his heart, his feelings long since buried after the suffering he had gone through. it wasn’t until dedue had told him that you had been wounded in the last battle and were in the infirmary that he realized how much it hurt him to hear those words. the thought of losing you paralyzed him with fear.

by the time he arrives, you’re up and smiling as mercedes leaves your side to go and fetch some more bandages. when you see dimitri, you turn to greet him, but instead are met by his lips moving desperately against yours, pulling you into him. the cold steel of his armor meets your warm hands, and you shiver against him, only then does dimitri pull back. 

“i-i don’t know what came over me, my apologies.” his pained expression silences you, his gaze falling to the floor. “dedue said you were injured and i–” you resist the urge to giggle, despite how much dimitri had changed over the years, in times like these you swore you could still see the kid you once knew shining through.

“it’s okay, dimitri, i’m fine,” you shoot him a wink that’d rival claude’s. “i’m not going anywhere without you, don’t you worry.”

claude:

you and claude had barely managed to snatch victory from the force of the two armies that had surrounded you. many of your comrades were injured in the fight, but thanks to marianne and lysithea’s phenomenal healing skills, none of your closest allies had fallen. you heave a sigh of relief, picking yourself up off the ground in the clearing where you were resting and traipsing on to find your commander.

“we did it, teach!” you hear that familiar voice call to you, and you turn on a heel, smiling at claude. he runs up to you, easily picking you up in his strong arms and spinning you around. usually, this type of affection would make you flush (especially in such a public place) but with the adrenaline coursing through your veins you can’t help but be uncaring as you let him hold you. 

you’re singing the praises of him and your teammates, and his response comes in the form of tilting his head up to capture your lips in a loving kiss. your eyes flutter shut, but he pulls back quickly, hearing hilda clearing her throat. he sets you down, “sorry… i don’t know what got into me.” he says to you, scratching the back of his neck nervously. “i was just so happy to see you alive.”

hilda promised not to tell anyone in exchange for claude doing her kitchen duties for a month. of course, he roped you into helping him with his sly words (”hey, it was like 50% your fault too… you’re just too cute sometimes”) and promises of more affection from then on.

ask:  Oldest angst in the book BUT could I request Edelgard dealing with her lover dying while she was away? Perhaps to an assassin or a vengeful enemy? Sorry in advance about the angst and Thank you either way!

You were lovely, and precious, and one of the only bits of happiness she allowed herself.

When she awoke in the early morning, with you sheltered in her arms, she contemplated staying. Just for a few moments more, with the warm dawn light, and the weight of someone she loved heavy beside her.

But she could not, not with the future of an empire and a war on her shoulders. The sooner it ended, the sooner she could spend eternity here with you, if she so wished, she told herself. When she reluctantly pulled herself away, you stirred.

How many kids (if any) do you think Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude would want with their s/o?

ooo okay short lil ask i love these type of things ^^

i think claude would want a few kids of his own, maybe 3 or 4 at the most! but he’d definitely wait a little while after he’s married for things to settle down before he thinks about starting a family, he want to raise one in the new, peaceful world with you. also while we’re at it he’s the best dad.

dimitri would want one, maybe two at the most. he’s still so scarred from everything that happened that it takes him a while to warm up to the thought of him having a kid. i think he’d have doubts on whether or not he’d be a good dad, but with your reassurance he’ll warm up to the idea rather quickly.

edelgard wouldn’t mind either way, she’d be fine with just being with you, but also if you’re up for having kids she’s down too. i don’t think she’d want more than two, and would probably rather adopt then have them herself. like the other two, it’d be a year or two so you both can settle down before she’s open to having them.

Soulmates - Edelgard x F! Byleth

It all started when I could start to remember things.

My father, Jeralt explained to me that everyone has a soulmate. The way yoh can tell is when your soulmate writes or draws on their body, it appears in the exact same spot on your own body. That's how he met my mother.

She had been sitting beside him and writing notes on the palms of her hands for a later time and he just happened to stare at his palms. Soon, they had fallen head-over-heels for each other.

Sure enough, the drawings appeared everywhere on my arms. I could only watch in new found amazement as my soulmate's drawings came to life. Their drawings were beautiful and I wondered if my soulmate would appreciate it if I drew on my arms. I was never known for being artistic, though. I was just Byleth Eisner, the shy young woman who seems to have no emotions at all. I ignore the whispers that come from those who dislike me of course.

One day, the drawings stopped coming and I wondered if something had happened to my soulmate. For once in my life, my heart was racing and my breaths grew anxious. Was I the only person in the world to not have a soulmate?

A long life alone.. Though I am mostly emotionless, the mere thought is spine chilling. Surely, I'll find answers somewhere. For help, I went to my friend, Claude who lived happily with his soulmate, Hilda.

I stepped into the cafe, a bell ringing to announce my presence in the building. I didn't have a moment to glance around, before a pair of friendly arms pulled me into a embrace. "Hello Claude." I said, looking at the brown-haired man. Hilda waved at me from a table she was sitting at. "Hey, Byl!" Claude exclaimed, a smile crossing his features. "So, friend, what do ya need? Come sit, we'll help you as best as we can!" Without giving a second to speak, he hauled me over to where his pink-haired soulmate was and the two of us settled into comfy seats.

"Sooo.." Claude began. "Tell us what's happening, Byl. What do you need?" Hilda grinned and looked at me. "Spill the gossip!" She exclaimed eagerly.

"I don't think I have a soulmate anymore." I folded my hands over my lap as I forced myself to speak. The urge to cry was strong but no matter how hard I tried, I could never cry, not even now.

Both Claude and Hilda exchanged worried glances before facing me.

"Hmm.. Maybe try writing a message to your soulmate and see if they respond by writing back?" Claude suggested, being solemn for once. "Good idea, dear." The pink-haired woman said to her soulmate before taking a sip of tea from the cup she was firmly holding. Claude flipped a pen over to me and after I caught it, I started to draw roses and other flowers on my arms.

Soon- they were replaced by familiar patterns, the same ones my soulmate had drawn on their arms for years.

A relieved sigh escapes me and I thank both Claude and Hilda as I take my leave from the cafe.

I will find my soulmate. That is something that I promise myself. I will not lose them again.

After spending days of writing back and fourth, I stopped speaking with my soulmate and the most particular thing occurs. My soulmate starts writing notes to themself, notes of what they have to do for the day. This cannot be a coincidence. I recognize every location that they write down.

They're not as far away as I had first believed. I have a higher chance of being with them now. Nothing else could make me happy, despite my lack of feelings.

As the days passed, I loss hours of sleep while I studied the patterns of where my soulmate was at everyday. I was determined to find them, especially when they were so close yet so far away.

A couple of days later and I had completely figured out their schedule. It was time.

The first place that they visited was the cafe in the early morning.

I walked into the cafe, wearing a sleeveless shirt and I observed my surroundings. The usuals were in the building already. There was no one that caught my eye, but I would not give up so easily. I sit down and I look down at my arms. I watched in amazement as my soulmate started to draw. Moments later, a drawing of me appeared on my arm and I was shocked, honestly.

I decided to stand up and I glanced around before I finally saw her.

My soulmate.

She was beautiful. With snowy locks and lilac eyes. She was dressed in a short, casual, sleeveless red dress and had on a pair of black heels.

"Excuse me." I managed to say to her, which caused her to turn to face me. She opened her mouth to speak but upon noticing her drawing on my forearm, she immediately fell silent, a crimson blush crossing her face.

"I'm your soulmate. Byleth Eisner." I said and she seemed to come out of her shell a little.

"My name is Edelgard." She muttered, looking at me with endearing eyes.

Edelgard. What a absolutely beautiful name.

Edelgard would become undone from your touch as you masterfully navigated her body, as well as if it were your own. You knew all the spots that made her twitch and moan, and you were never fully satisfied if she was still able to talk by the end of your relentless teasing.

Today was supposed to be a fun day with your sister. The near by theme park had a promotional sale and she’d bought a set of four tickets. Since Giyuu and Sabito couldn’t come she’d decided to invite the Kocho sisters.

You despised your sister at times. This was one of them. Ditching you at the center of a haunted house with the girl you’ve been crushing on since your first year of middle school. Great.

She was probably annoyed by you clinging to her arm. You liked these places, sometimes, but being alone in one was impossible.

“Don’t worry (Y/N). They’re all fake anyway. We’ll be fine as long as they follow their restrictions. They can’t touch you, and we can always get past them,” she reassured you with logic and that confidence you admired. You nodded, but kept a tight grip on her hand. She guided you through the rest of the house, starting to point out any medical inaccuracies to you quietly. To try and help smooth your nerves.

Oddly enough it helped. You two were laughing by the time you exited, her last critique had annoyed an employee into walking away from you instead of scaring you.

“Oh aren’t they just so cute!”

“An adorable couple really! Clinging to each other like that.”

“Nee-Chan!” Shinobu snapped at her giggling sister. You stared your sister down and she just smirked at you. Mokomo was going to pay, but you also owed her a small thanks. The two set girls waved and headed towards a good stall.

“You don’t have to listen to them. They’re just picking on me,” Shinobu sighed. She refused to look at you.

You blinked at her, “Actually I think they were setting us up. I’ve liked you for forever and didn’t think you felt the same.”

“I’d be stupid not to like you!” She snapped, then flushed when she realized her own volume.

You both stood there awkwardly for a second. “Good god just kiss her already, Kocho.” You both whipped around to see an annoyed Sabito and ever calm Giyuu. Giyuu gave you both a thumbs up.

Shinobu seemed to regain herself first and yank you into a fumbling first kiss. Apparently your entire family was trying to set you up.

it’s because she has the ability to stay calm and collected even in dire moments

and i think it will apply in the medical field and also when she’s treating you

she may be worried deep inside but she’ll show her usual face and composure as she would to others. in that way, you will be calm as well

“(y/n)-san? are you awake now? you have to take your medication, can you sit down for me?”

she’s going to be more affectionate whereas she’ll kiss you on the forehead every night or whenever she has the chance to

it is not necessary for her to do everything but she’ll basically take aoi’s job and do whatever is need to be done to take care of you; making sure you go to the bathroom every once in awhile, giving you food, reminding you for your medications and even when you need a change of clothes or to wash you with a washcloth

there may be times where she’ll tease you as usual but it’s only to make you smile or to lighten up the mood

“oh dear, you must be liking it when i feed you, don’t you?” she’ll definitely say that “it’s alright to admit it, (y/n)-san. now open up, you’d want to be up and about as fast as possible, don’t you?”

but still, she’s going to make sure that you’ll feel taken care of and that she’ll heal you soon

if anything worse happens to you, she will seriously regret it and might even go frantic on the inside even if she does look calm on the outside

all in all, i think shinobu is more showy of her affection and would do anything for you to be well

Shinobu isn’t the most touch-hungry person in the world, but she absolutely wouldn’t mind hugs from you. She’s very busy with treating patients or working on the development of new poisons often, so she doesn’t often have time to just find you for a quick hug. However, she adores it when you come up behind her and hug her while she’s working. It makes her relax a bit if she’s stressed out and she’ll gladly lean into your touch.

Very protective. Shinobu puts on a facade of kindness to most demons before she kills them, but if she noticed a demon trying to attack/attacking you at all, she would forego the kind act and immediately use one of her most painful toxins to bring about their end. She already feels inferior to many other slayers due to her lack of strength and lack of ability to cut demons’ heads off, so it would be best to avoid stepping in to protect her even if you know she can handle herself. She appreciates it, but she also begins to question her own weakness again. :(

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

Not at all. Without you, she would delve further into her anger at the demons, though she wouldn’t show it to others and just put on her cheerful smile. Though, once you’re gone from her life, she starts to feel even emptier. She had found you at a time when she was still hurting over the loss of her dear sister, and you helped fill that emptiness that came with it. When you’re gone, the emptiness you once helped fill seems to only double.

○ - he’ll twist your arm (not too hard) while screaming stuff at you which is obvious he had missed you, you laughed so hard at his reacting you spit out the words “I missed you too Sanemi!!”

○ - Sanemi will slap your hand each every 10 seconds as a punishment

○ - in  the end yes you two had times of bullying each other and other shit but it was fun, you teased Sanemi a lot for his obvious feelings while poking him, he’ll go “tch!” then holds your hand threatening you better not go off again or he’ll come a long whether you like it or not, yo smiled so much he groans yet smiled and gave you some head pats

○ - Giyu had always been patient waiting for you to come back from your mission, he even feels anxious when he’s on a mission and the first thought comes in mind “did y/n came back already?” but he knows it’s a 1 year mission as he keeps all the feelings to himself

○ - Tomioka-san would be broken in peaces if you go off on another mission for a year again and can’t bear the thought of it, while you tell him how you finished it he gently grabs your hand and placed it onto his forehead, you smiled and promised you won’t ever leave Giyu behind again and friends will always remember each other, it makes Giyu smile hearing just how sweet and positive you are
