Legolas meaning "Green Leaf"

Thranduil meaning "Vigorous Spring"

Oh how I love incorporating the etymology of names into character art, it brings me much joy. I was also motivated to draw some Thranduil and a Little Legolas with some forest imagery. Really brought out the illustrator in me composition-wise.

We really need some more soft family content from these two, I genuinely believe that after all Thranduil experienced in his early life, and the loss of his own father, that he would vow to care for and make sure his son had a good life.

Okay...so, in a mythological sense, Manny Taur is canonically related to Spelldon and Casta through Pasiphaë and Circe.

Pasiphaë is Manny's biological grandma through her myth of birthing the minotaur. She's also the aunt of Casta and Spelldon since their mom, Circe, is her sister.

That would make the Cauldrenello kids Manny's first cousins once removed.

yeah there’s a lot of horrible men out there. but I feel like everywhere I go I see reminders of how men love. man on the sidewalk pulling his and his wife’s heavy luggage. man playing ball in the park with his son while a dog runs around them joyfully. man holding flowers in the grocery store and softly mumbling “I love you too” on the phone.
