The Love Quarter

As the first principle of LifE KiT, Love is the foundation for everything we do, and everything we are.  Love for ourselves, Love for our family, Love for our friends and Love for life.

It's what keeps the candle lit during owl hours, it's what stops us from tapping the snooze button when five more minutes seems like a well-placed orgasm, it's what makes us put up another hundred shots after practice, it's what makes us call home when something good pops for us, it's what makes us wanna share those special times with the folks we've created so many memories with, it's what has us sneakin outta windows and  climbing trees following our juvenile sense of life's desires.

Now we can't define it like a world-renowned master of the maxims but we'll trust that the truth is in what we see and feel.  We Love the Love you show, and give our best efforts to return it.

How Strong Is My Team?

I constantly find myself evaluating the people I spend the majority of my time with, not like the investigative judgement based type evaluations, but just a quick check to see if my social circle is serving me in a positive way, and consequently whether i'm doing the same. 

When it comes to the people you work with, these evaluations become even more important. Starting a business venture with just a few friends, you learn quickly how to perform many different roles and responsibilities, but most importantly you learn you CN'T do everything alone. 

When family and friends offer their energies, take it. Spend time with ya folks and identify things they're good at or passionate about, develop these skills and relationships in a very mutually beneficial way.  Of course, it's important to not always hire friends and family, but in the early stages of your venture these early adopters are crucial to long-term progress.  

Our family at About That Gap is a reminder to us everyday how important it is to have a strong team, by all means, show some love as she does some amazing things.

”What started out as a competition, has now become my refuge. Yusuf knew I didn’t like to be challenged, so I answered the call by purchasing a pair of running shoes. On my first half marathon, I tied Yusuf’s best half marathon time. He stepped up his game after that. Although he’s not here physically, his spirit is with me every time I lace up my shoes and run. Running keeps me looking great physically and with the stress and demands that life puts on me mentally, it has become my therapy.
