I took (semi) comprehensive notes on Bridgerton Season Three. (+Overall thoughts)
(I didn’t put timestamp but I think you could guess what applies to what)
Overall Thoughts:
I like the differences they made from the book, how they made Penelope more independent instead of reliant on Colin. I sad Cressida didn’t get the redemption arc I hopped for but overall I’m happy the way this season turned out.
I actually like the choice to split this season into two, both halves have completely different vibes. Part one is a romantic comedy while part two is a drama with higher stakes. I think this season has the highest stakes out of all of them (so far).
I have no idea whose season will be next. I thought it would be Benedict’s because of the Masquerade Ball but in the books he sees Sophie and becomes obsessed with finding her for a year (but if they change that in the show, I will not be disappointed)
It could either be Eloise or Francesca but I’m leaning more towards Eloise because John and Fran must be established in their marriage before he dies.
(Also, I don’t know who told me Wanna be Yours was gonna be in this season, but whoever it was, I’m in your walls.)
Listen Eloise had no idea Penelope was into Colin because Eloise has been in a committed relationship with Penelope for the last few years and then they had a bitter break up.
Everyone out here all "Eloise is supposed to be the 'smart' on and she's literally the only one who didn't know Penelope liked Colin???"
Eloise is a lesbian first and intelligent second. Do a character study.
Imagine you had a major break up and the next week your ex is ENGAGED to your brother.
One thing that always cracks me up when reading romance novels is how both the M/C and her friends find the L/O to be so unbelievably fine. Like, I don't think that there has ever been a time where both my friends and I have agreed on attractiveness. I'll tell my friends that I just saw the finest man walk by and they'll look at me like
find a man who cherishes you enough to cut off the dick of the man who has scorned you in order to use it to tenderly make love to you after proposing with a peach ring so that you do not have to die a virgin and can instead live on forever with him while he regularly brings flowers to your gravesite and tends to your undead body's electrocution wounds as he reads percy bysshe shelley's poetry to you. do NOT settle for less.
Soooo my WiFi shut off so I can’t post any chapters until it comes back. I am SO sorry for the delay, hopefully I can post before my winter break ends.
Tbh the reason i want Prowlerbyte to become canon in Beyond isn't that i love their potential dynamic but that i feel like it fix would my Ghostflower vs Flowerbyte dilema.Because on one hand,i absolutely love Gwen and Miles' dynamic and Across boosted it from ship i really enjoy to comfort ship and it would be absolutely amazing to have one of the best male superhero's ever be in an endgame romance with a trans girl who's also extremely realistically written and most Ghostflower shippers i've met have been really nice so i feel they deserve this w but on the other hand, the idea of Margo having instant chemistry with Miles only to never follow up on it leaves a bad taste in my mouth as a black woman because it feels like baiting us with the 'disposable black love interest' and i HATED that part where Gwen pulled Miles away from her out of what was most likely jealousy(so i perfer the take i've seen going around that it was out of worry over the Go Home Machine)and i really,REALLY don't want to end up hating Gwen if they keep at stuff like that because she means a lot to me as a trans person who's a lot like her(though i am transmasc bigender and genderfluid instead of a trans woman)but if they have them be friends in Beyond and pair Margo up with Miles G,then the problems are solved because then we get good rep for female friendships AND a black4black couple while keeping the positive transfem rep.So yeah, canon Prowlerbyte supremacy
