“Is that a challenge?” Hux raised his brow and playfully smirked. “I am going to make it a lot better than us floating in the air then. But first I need to you teach me so I can do that.” He was relieved to know he wasn’t opposed to it.

Hux’s gaze flicked between Kylo and the floor in front of him. He nodded and stepped forward, kneeling without hesitation. This wasn’t too cruel. He could do it. Hux lowered his head as a sign of accepting Kylo as his superior.

“I, General Armitage Hux, pledge my loyalty to you, Supreme Leader Ren, and promise to support you in the eyes of the First Order.”

Hux’s diary

Dear Diary. Today i saw Kylo Ren sliding from his chamber into hallway with the fanciest move and then he talked to himself. I know he’s odd but i never thought that he’s so lonely that he creates his imaginary friend.

“You earned it, kid. You work hard, and you help my kid, too, and I know you will need to go to college. So, you know. I just need to appreciate you when you are still here.”

Han sighed once more and stood up. “Well. I will see you later.”

After he left, it took Kylo an hour or so to get back home. He went in and curled up on the bed right away. “Job hunting is a bitch,” he complained. “But Hot Topic might want to call me, I guess.”

“Hello to you too.” Hux chuckled and dragged the chair he had next to the bed and sat on it. “Yeah, people don’t really want kids with no degree of any kind.”

“But guess what... Your dad visited earlier.” He had promised to tell him so he would. And he had good news too.

“People are dumb. Once we rule all of this they won’t dare to come that close anymore.”

Kylo took the drink and sipped on it. “I did have something on my mind.” He smiled at Hux. “And I am seducing you.”

His arm came around Hux’s waist and he rested his hand on the general’s hip. “Part of my idea for this evening definitely involved some nakedness on both our parts.”

Kylo came awfully close now, his lips almost touching Hux’s.

“Oh.” Hux parted his lips and for a moment he forgot to breathe. Some...creative images, thoughts, invaded his mind and he felt himself blush as he stared into Kylo’s eyes. And down his lips. 

The hand on his hip reminded him of what they did together behind closed doors and...he really needed to think of something else because whatever Kylo was doing it was working. The general couldn’t wait to get out of there. He cleared his throat quietly, looked away and hid his blush behind the glass he took a sip from.

“I hope no one looks me in the eye now, my pupils are probably blown wide...” Hux mumbled. “Damn you and your seducing skills.”

Hux mentally rolled is eyes. His ideas weren’t always horrible. A backhanded compliment, so his style. But it brought a small smile on his lips for a small moment. He was surprised Kylo was still willing to keep him at his side. His eyes told Hux he believed him, and that it did affect him on some level. But how, Hux couldn’t tell yet. Some parts of Kylo were always a mystery.

“How do you want me to pledge my allegiance to you, Supreme Leader?” Hux asked softly. He would do it. It was a way to survive. And he’d survive. All he needed was an opportunity.
