Self care is not taking a bubble bath once a week but paying ongoing attention to the physical, mental and emotional needs of your body while deliberately taking care of our body through RESTorative activities.
The coolest part? Your body rewards true self care by releasing more well-being hormones ….oxytocin, serotonin, endorphins and dopamine. It isn’t the activity that you are engaging in but how that activity is making you FEEL!
Self-care looks differently for everyone and is always evolving. Every day you may need something a little different to restore you! My favorite self care activity is rest. So many people think of rest as only physical through sleeping. We can be sleeping 9 hours a night and still feel exhausted mentally and emotionally.
