doing this again because im actually too lazy to retype the tags but agree with all thats said. I have the same headcanon, and so does a lot of the fandom, but its still just that: a headcanon. sometimes, we spend too much time in fandom spaces. we start skewing the source material because of being surrounded by headcanons and fanon interpretation. nothing wrong with that until it starts harming the fandom space itself, really. sometimes tropes can be good, and other times theyre not
I love seeing people's headcanons, and I dont mind tropes so long as theyre not harmful and its expressed its headcanon territory! I say if its an au, diverge to your hearts content! while four swords has been around for years, its good to specify sometimes when what youre presenting is canon interpretation or headcanon
