Love Day is today. Apparently Earth celebrates it too (although under the name Valentine’s Day), and I have never understood it. I just need to ask, how is it not incredibly nerve racking on all ends? If you’re in a relationship, you’re expected to jump through all these hoops and essentially put on a performance. If you’re not in one and have no interest, you’re seen as ‘failing’. But also, if you’re single and pining hopelessly for someone, you’re surrounded by all these reminders of how much of a coward you are for being unable to confess.
…Not that I would know anything about that last part. My point being, how is this a day people look forward to? I can’t even blame it on not understanding Earth culture since we have it on Octalia as well.

Update: In my attempts to find this out through searches, I somehow stumbled upon a website called Archive of Our Own. I have no idea what ‘Love Händel RPF’ is, but it is really well written. I may or may not have gotten so interested in what I saw that I pulled an all nighter. Good thing I’m off work today, otherwise I’d be in trouble.
I’ve been looking into Earth music some more, and I have some questions for those who live there. The main one is, do you guys really have old magical sentient bathing suits that live in your mountains? I don’t think I should be too surprised considering that The Abomination comes from your planet, but what the hell goes on over there?
Don’t get me wrong, I am forever grateful towards Earth for all the help they’ve given us, but are you guys alright?

I have been independent for a long time now, I should be used to cooking. But nope, somehow I’m always finding something new to mess up. Just last week I cracked an egg and the egg somehow caught on fire. And it’s like, really? I’ve been self reliant for many years and cooking is still something that eludes me?
And no, this is not even from Orgaluth’s Law. It’s more like my own personal law that anything that can catch on fire will catch on fire. At least, if I’m cooking.

I WAS RIGHT. THEY WERE SHARING.
Okay, nope, I’m not going to get mad. I’m going to deal with this in a professional way, because I am a professional. Even if it makes my job and my day harder. I love it here.
I think it’s either Dorsal or Mantel stealing my coffee beans. Dorsal’s always been sketchy to me, and Mantel is just as tired as I am. I know it’s not Khone or Beek, because Khone doesn’t even like coffee and Beek would’ve turned himself in immediately.
Whoever is doing it, I will find out. And please don’t prove me wrong in thinking even you know better than that, Khone.

((Loab in this ask blog is besties with Khone and has a HUGE crush on him that she’ll definitely deny. Teasing her about is highly encouraged.))

Researching Earth culture on here is already taking up some of my free time. I found a song that goes “H-O-T-T-O-G-O, you can take me hot to go” and I have been humming it far more in such a short amount of time than I would care to admit.
On a related note, does Earth have royalty or not? I’ve heard that this is not the case, but I’m unsure of what a “Midwest Princess” is.

rank ur fave humans GO
Oh boy, coming in with the tough questions already, huh?
Well, I don’t really know many humans. I’ve only met Milo and his friends. If I absolutely had to rank them though? I’ll give it a shot.
1) Milo!
He’s a great kid. Octalia probably wouldn’t still be standing if not for him helping us! And even when he thought we were trying to eat him, he was still very nice and helpful. Us Octalians love Milo, I think there’s even going to be a statue of him somewhere.
2) The other two kids. I don’t think I got their names?
The girl was a bit rude when she thought we were hurting Milo. Once things were cleared up, it was fine, and I can tell they really care about Milo. Very heartwarming.
3) Orange guy? Again, I did not get any of their names except for Milo’s.
We didn’t interact much, but he seemed fine. He looked pretty fond of the freakishly tall guy.
4) The pharmacist.
I’m not really a fan of how he grabbed my head that one time. He’s a bit much, but I guess I shouldn’t judge him too harshly. He was a big help, after all.
5) The freakishly tall guy.
He has a really weird greeting, and looks kind of like the abomination that still gives me nightmares. I get chills just thinking about it.
Thanks for the question!

Honestly, when you have to help stop your planet from getting completely destroyed by negative probability ions, it really puts things into perspective. Sometimes it makes your 9 to 5 seem so inconsequential. Delivering packages across the galaxy? Easy. You know what isn’t easy, though?
Having your clearly marked bag of coffee beans stolen every day no matter what you do. Why would someone even do that if not out of spite? The audacity. Working the early shift isn’t exactly glamorous, you know.

Um, hello, I guess? I just discovered this website. Not going to lie, it’s a little weird, but I thought making an account would at least give me something to do during breaks at work. I’m sick of having to interact with coworkers during my break, that’s what a break is for!
….Anyway, I hear that you can ask people questions on here, so you can do that if you want. I can’t guarantee the best responses, it’s hard typing with a translator.
I’m very fascinated by this planet’s culture, by the way. Is ‘blorbo’ a word or someone’s name? I can’t tell.
((If you’re somehow seeing this and know who Loab is, I think you already know who is behind this blog. In case you’re randomly stumbling upon this and have no clue what MML is, I’ll introduce myself and the blog anyway.
My name is Caro [they/them, but I sometimes use he or she as well] and I got really attached to a random character from a semi obscure show with only 2 seasons.
I call this a roleplay blog because I’m not entirely sure what I want to do with it yet, but for now you can at least send my girl some asks. I have my own interpretation of Loab since she has no lore canonically, and it will serve as part of the foundation of her writing.
The only rule I currently have for this blog is just to not be weird and send harassment towards either Loab or myself. I can’t imagine why someone would want to do that, but still. Also, keep in mind, I am an adult.
Thanks if you read all of this!))
