I am so weirdly emotional at being done with this? It's been a staple every week for a while now, and it's going to be SO incredibly weird not having that to fall back on every week when things get quiet. I could not have asked for a better team to illustrate for! An incredible author AND an incredible cheerleader (@pininglikefinedining), who really didn't need to offer up as much encouragement as she did. The fact that I even was given the opportunity to try and put down visuals for the amazing, and frankly picturesque, words that she manages to pen down is so mindboggling to me. I am so incredibly grateful for a multitude of reasons that I was able to do this, and I really, genuinely, urge every person to go read the entire beautiful thing if they haven't already. It's so amazing.

Art for chapter 6 of On the Wings of a Wild Grey Heron! The beautiful fic by @cats-and-metersticks for @lockwoodandcobigbang2023 I think this was the easiest one for all of us to collectively decide which scene was important to draw. For obvious reasons. And I never get tired of drawing Locklyle weddings <3 The next chapter is the last one and its going to be very bittersweet to get the art done for. Its been such a fun and amazing journey to illustrate for and I could not have asked for a better fic, better author, better cheerleader, or better team in general to get to do this with.

Vertigo

A Cot3 travelling circus au, with a touch of magic ✨ (Written for the Lockwood & Co. Big Bang 2023/2024!)

The living and the dead have always spoken equally to Lucy, and she doesn’t know where to focus any more. When disaster strikes at Jacob’s Travelling Circus, Lucy flees to London. There, she stumbles upon the world famous Fairfax Carnival, and falls back on an old con that her mother made her do as a child; swindling punters as a fake psychic. Lucy is content to blend into the background and be just another carnie, but when Annabel Ward, the trapeze star, disappears overnight, Lucy is forced into the spotlight in to a role she told herself she’d never do again. Add to that Lockwood's unhappiness about her getting a star act over him, and stopping the inspector investigating Annabel’s disappearance ratting her whereabouts to Jacobs; Lucy’s too distracted to even notice that the voices in her head are leading her right to the heart of the problem. She can’t ignore the signs forever, and when the mysterious figure lurking inside her crystal ball starts giving warnings about George and the Carnival’s secretary, Joplin, she and Lockwood must work together to figure out the dark secret behind the carnival’s popular attraction; the Hall Of Mirrors.

i had the absolute pleasure of working with @kennysbirthday (with @ayeaye-capn's invaluable support) for @lockwoodandcobigbang2023. i've never done any kind of fandom event before and this has been so fun ! i love this au world and these characters ♥ go experience the WONDER and INCOMPARABLE FEATS OF DARING at fairfax carnival for yourself on ao3!! (i used about 4,000 different references for this project but particular s/o to the LoC collection of circus posters and this article with photographs)

Stone Walls and Light Cracks // A Lockwood and Co Medieval/Merlin AU

This fanfic was written for the @lockwoodandcobigbang2023 (and I finally got to post it here).

The servants were serving another man, the Earl of Lockwood, who was leaning against a long table at the other end of the now open hall, next to the small but conspicuous and ornate chair that was placed at the end. He had his dark hair down and was staring at the wood in front of him as if it held some important message and solution to what had plagued them for so long. But when he heard the sound of the man entering, he looked up. Though his stature and bearing belied his youth, it marked him at the same time, for dark shadows formed under his eyes and the threat he faced almost alone was evident in his expression. *** Imagine Lockwood, Lucy and George living in a version of 13th century Middle Ages and the world of Merlin (TV). Anthony, Earl of Lockwood is the son of a king, but tries to live his life as an independent lord. As the Problem, the plague, haunts the people and Lord Lockwood's father, the King, refuses to take decisive action to protect the people, Lockwood fights his own battles, fighting ghosts in secret. George de Clarim, supports him but hides his own secrets. When they get close to capturing a thief in a strive for distraction, our story sets in...
