and i just wanna point something out

have u guys ever thought about how much emotional stress eren is facing? with that spoiler we saw his memories and the former titan holders can you imagine how pressure he’s feeling with all that painful memories inside his head?? it really makes me sad he deserves to be happy he had enough please i just want him to be free i want him to be happy he probably hasn’t experienced one single happy emotion since he was 17 if not younger, it breaks my heart seeing him like that

I initially thought it wasn’t really Eren the one who said “wait”, even though his body language and expression clearly conveyed the same sentiment. Upon closer analysis of the speech bubbles, however, I think it was really him.

In Japanese, it is “待て” = “Stop/Wait!”. It’s an order and it is spoken at a normal volume (the speech bubble is normal, see comparison below). Eren’s titan can’t speak so he has no way to talk to Zeke, he knows he is helpless.

In the speech bubble placed directly in Colt’s panel, it’s “待ってくれ” = “Please wait!”. It’s a request. I’d find it odd if he first spoke an order and then yelled a request, mainly because Colt is very conscious of Zeke being his superior in line, and he never strays from his usual respectful (albeit informal, because that’s how close they were) way of speaking. 

If this wasn’t enough of a clue, in one of the next panels, someone says “何だと?!” = “What (did you say)?!” and they are very clearly Reiner’s shocked words on Colt revealing that Falco drank some of Zeke’s spinal fluid. The speech bubble is the same as the one in Eren’s panel, that “ーWait”.

So I’m convinced it was Eren. And even if it wasn’t really him, as I said before, his body language speaks volumes. Because these have the same meaning.

I still treasure the drawing you did for me on my birthday last year so I wanted to put my all into this to match it. cause these are both your favourite characters I couldn’t choose between drawing just one for you, so I drew them both in an AU where Erwin is the colossal titan and works closely with Eren in the attack against Marley. I think they would make an interesting team, I hope you like it as well!! 

I know you’re working on your birthday but I want you to take it as easy as you can and have an amazing day because you are the most amazing person I know. Abstract Lust - lyrics + (attempt at) translation

Okay, on the spur of the moment I decided to transcribe the lyrics of Abstract Lust, Eren’s first character song (the one released last year at a jpn event only and recently leaked). I’m pretty sure the words/kanjis are correct but if you catch some errors, let me know, please, so we can perfect this version together!

As for the translation…okay I’m not gonna lie, I will never understand how people manage to translate lyrics, like, they often don’t follow grammar rules, you don’t know where the commas should be or even when a period ends, and to me it looks like free form! And the singing doesn’t help, like, at all! It frustrates me so much! So really, if you’re one of those talented people who can easily translate lyrics, you have all my respect.

Anyway I tried. I’m nowhere near fluent in Japanese, and English is not my native language so; there’s gonna be lots (LOTS!!!) of mistakes, the meaning of certain sentences is still obscure to me and the English might not be pleasant to read. So. Help me. If you can find better ways to translate/reword all of this, don’t be shy and help the fandom out by providing the best translation.

The Guidebook came out in April 2019, but the interview is dated February 2019.

IMPORTANT: I first speed-translated and posted a draft of this interview on my Twitter. I didn’t think many people would end up reading it, so I barely proofread it, but it was reposted on Reddit, so… lots of people actually read it. That first draft contains mistakes and it’s shorter. I now translated the interview more accurately and in greater details. Please, consider this one as the final, correct version.
