For ableist creators: I really don’t think any ill intent was meant (or at least I hope), but in one of Jaiden Animations videos about self improvement she said…well idk how to explain very well so I’ll just quote “It’s alright! You can actually be proud of yourself with being a sociop-…cocky douchebag” (she was going to say sociopath, and she made this sort of “joke”(?) again later in the same video)
Also in her Being Not Straight video where she explained how she was aroace, she mentioned the argument that “romance and intimacy are what makes someone human” and then disagreed with that argument and said something along the lines of “If I had to guess, what makes someone human is basic empathy”

youtube vids about shit like psychopathy/sociopathy or aspd in general be like: *misinformation* *dehumanizes* *explains something wrong* *brings up a serial killer but talks in the most true crime mindset possible* *misinformation* *equates lack of remorse and empathy to being subhuman* *mixes up terms* *dehumanizes* who the fuck has the energy to make shit like this and be so stupid its baffling

I was at psychology class today and we reached empathy and mirror neurons and I was so curious because uh. obvious reasons
so the teacher talked about how ppl mimic others' poses and expressions without realizing because of mirror cells and it's relation to empathy and I asked that what happens if I do it consciously bc I learned it was like socially expected of me
so like she was like "oh well that could happen" and I couldn't explain myself well enough so I just said "no because I had to LEARN to do it becausei generally have no empathy so how would plasticity play apart in it" and a bunch a ppl in my class stared at me weirdly and I FUCKING HATE IT LIKE OKAY OKAY I GET IT YALL GREW UP CONDITIONED TO BELIEVE LOW EMPATHY IS ONLY IN SERIAL KILLERS BUT ARENT YOU SUPPOSED TO BE IN THIS CLASS TO LEARN ABOUT THE HUMAN BRAIN BETTER?????? IT TOOK SO MUCH ENERGY FROM ME TO JUST SAY IT OUT LOUD AND I GET STARES AND GIGGLES AT ME COME ONNN
I wanna curl up in a little ball and never come out

npd culture is idk man, maybe if you're intentionally trying to trigger someone's mental illness because they "deserve" it for lacking empathy...
Maybe you don't have as much empathy as you like to think you do. Maybe the people minding their own business are not the assholes here. Maybe the "evil" narcissists aren't the ones getting off on tormenting innocent people.
Just sayin'

npd culture is lol imagine making the fact you allegedly have empathy your entire personality then demonizing random people that don't have it like you're not just projecting.
You can just say you lack any actually interesting personality traits, y'know. We can tell.

npd culture is seeing people talk about pwnpd in comment sections like we're subspecies like "narcissists will gaslight and harm and kill you probably. they have no feelings whatsoever." and seeing everyone in the replies agree. like wow im learning new things about myself!

I see you’ve started making the script for the 2nd episode. Is that a sign that we should be expecting something soon?
I've actually (mostly) finished the script for episode 2! That was just a sneak peek hehe
I feel confident in saying there'll be an episode 2 and I plan on boarding it during my upcoming hiatus in August. There will at least be an animatic like the pilot!
Still having talks to see if there's a way to get the whole show done and funded and fully animated (talks are going well). I want to make this show but I do still work a full time job and would love to find a way to make idwtbamg sustainable for myself to work on full time, as well as pay anyone who works on it fairly! And also to make it so there isn't like,,, a year in between episode releases (since i can only work on it during my breaks haha)

Hello describers of things can we stop using medical terminology as descriptors please PLEASE
Sorry grievances time because I don’t like it there are alternatives and I will literally fucking list them for you. (Alternatives are given as alternative words to HOW PEOPLE WRONGLY USE the disorders in question, NOT AS ACCURATE DESCRIPTIONS of the disorders/symptoms. Thanx. A handful of the “alternatives” can still be used as derogatory but for fucks sake what the fuck ever stop using medical terms as insults)
(Edit: Here to clarify that my intention of the words below is not to say I see other mentally ill or disabled people like this, it’s specifically what I myself most commonly see people use the diagnostic words to mean. I believe it is also important to say that all terms below can be used in a derogatory/negative sense, and while I do see the issues potentially present with someone having terms just to be an asshole, I also want to say that it’s easier to phase out legitimate medical terminology from people’s vocabularies if you offer alternatives instead of just telling them not to say things. This was originally a rant post about my own frustrations regarding misuses of diagnostic terminology & misusing those terms as a means to insult/demean people, as it is offensive and conveys that their problems make them nothing more than an insult to you.)
Bipolar/Manic (alternative words/phrases that don’t refer to/demonize bipolar disorder: inconsistent, erratic, unpredictable, flighty, fickle, irregular, volatile, temperamental)
Delusional/Psychotic (alternative words/phrases that don’t refer specifically to/demonize psychosis: deranged, unstable, frantic, unhinged, frenzied)
Narcissist (alternative words/phrases that don’t refer to/demonize NPD: egotistical, entitled, full of oneself, vain, selfish, haughty, prideful, arrogant)
Psychopath/Sociopath (alternative words/phrases that don’t refer to/demonize ASPD: cold, uncaring, calculated, withdrawn)
Braindead (alternative words/phrases that don’t ridicule/make a spectacle out of actual brain death: absentminded, unwise, foolish, stupid, oblivious)
Antisocial (alternative words/phrases that don’t refer to ASPD: not social, asocial, introverted)
Obsessive Compulsive (alternative words/phrases that don’t devalue or otherwise stigmatize OCD: perfectionist, organized, tidy, neat, structured)
Intrusive Thoughts (alternative words/phrases that don’t devalue or otherwise stigmatize legitimate intrusive thoughts: impulsive-, reckless-, spontaneous-, rash-, all ending in “thought/thoughts”)
This isn’t like a masterlist or anything it’s just a list I have on hand but like for real stop calling people sociopaths and psychos and shit this sucks balls Thanks
