It's in a state where I'd basically need to rewrite the whole story, and I don't have the energy, the motivation, nor would I enjoy doing that for various reasons.

Might return at some point, but rn it's highly unlikely.

Have been rather inactive for a while now, and I just want to say that:

Formaldehyde is still being written. Chapters 17-20 are in a half finished state atm, and all of them could be completed fairly quickly. However, it'll take a while until they're posted.

Due to everything that came out regarding Iskall, I've decided to remove him from the fic. I don't feel comfortable having him in the story, and I frankly don't want him in it anymore.

This means that there's a lot of chapters that need to be rewritten or changed. Characters need to be moved around or entirely rewritten.

Iskall will be replaced by Scar since I & my co-writer think he fits the best.

Unfortunately, that means that new chapters won't get added for a while, and the story is put on hold until past chapters have been edited.

To anyone who's still reading it or who's waiting for updates, thank you for your patience <3

Thinking about how I can incorporate the powers from Wild Life into my old ass Boatem Magical Girl au

Peak "Came Back Wrong" from this session. Especially if you view it from Grumbo perspective imo

Mumbo died, and Grian reacted with horror. He screamed when he realised it had happened, and he almost immediately tried to arrange a grave and a funeral. Then Jimmy laughs at his death, and in response, Grian shot him. No one disrespects Mumbo.

Then Grian manages to bring both Mumbo and Skizz back, by some miracle. Sure, he can't summon them, Cleo can, but they're back!

And he's actually really happy when they first show up to interact with him, and then... they just start insulting him. His team mates. His boyfriend and his friend are both insulting him.

But hey, he forgives them, it was their task, so not really their fault.

Though, that should've been the first sign that they weren't quite right. That they had come back wrong, and Grian ends up getting killed by the person be basically trusts the most.

Mumbo kills him when Grian is getting food out of all things. He just kills him, and sure, he says that he's sorry, but he still kills Grian.

And never before has Grian felt that betrayed.

I miss dsmp x Hermitcraft crossovers. I was never that into dsmp, but these crossovers usually slapped.

Thinking about Tommy, who decides to go server hopping post-canon, and eventually ends up finding Hermitcraft.

He's not the best at building, nor the best at redstone, nor the best at anything, really but he gets along well with Mumbo Jumbo.

Together, the two of them are an unstoppable duo who just really gets on Grian's nerves.

Tommy views Mumbo as some form of older brother figure, whilst Mumbo views Tommy as that younger cousin you could start chaos with.

Grian finds Tommy annoying at first, but eventually sees that maybe the two of them actually aren't that different.

Something like that.

(Yesss, this is old school as all hell, but yknow I like it. To make it even more old school, Grian and Mumbo are 100% in a relationship as well.)

What do you remember from the dream?

In that dream, Mumbo was sort of in Madoka's position, and Grian was basically in Homuras. (<hope this makes sense)

Which honestly, is something I've already thought about before. Currently reworking an old af Boatem Magical Girl au, where Grian and Mumbo sort of have those roles.

Also, in this dream, Grian seemed to get corrupted by mycelium at some point, and he ended up corrupting Mumbo on purpose by kissing him. The kiss spread the spores, and Grian basically only thought, "Mine." As he corrupted Mumbo.

This is basically what I remember from that dream. Honestly, gonna keep the last thing and work it into the Magical Girl au.

There ought to be a tag called "Grian has unhealthy coping mechanisms" or sum, bc I'd use the hell out of it. Love me some god ol' fashioned Griangst. It just hits different, yknow?

Convex in the Boatem Band au is basically:

Cub is a techie for the band, almost always joining them on tours or shows, and he's become sort of friends with the band itself.

Scar is the very charismatic and highly sought-after frontman and singer who could basically date anyone.

Yet, he very much prefers the more introverted nerdy techie, and he's got the most embarrassing crush on him.

By this point in the au, Grumbo is dating, and the two of them are trying their best to wingman Scar (they both suck a but at it).

Scar tries to flirt w Cub, but since that flirty personality is something he uses on stage, Cub is a tad bit put off.

It's not until Scar stops flirting, and the two of them end up as p good friends that Cub falls for him.

Scar's actual personality, and his inability to stop talking about Star Wars, is insanely endearing to Cub.

It's nice to see him as he is, rather than as the persona he puts up on stage.

Alas, I'm always a Grumbo shipper at heart, I keep getting Scarian ideas, and I try my best to write them strictly Scarian, but I keep failing.

It always ends w endgame Grumbo.

I'll try my best to actually write Scarian at some point :)

I'm thinking so much about a Boatem Band au. I got some ideas for it and some plot ideas.

Think it'll end up Grumbo, Convex, and Gempearl as ships.

The positions in the band is:

Scar as the singer/frontman, Grian as rythm guitarist, Mumbo as lead guitarist, Pearl on bass, and Impulse on drums.

This is based on their personalities, vibes, and the vibe of me and my musician friends irl :)
