She hunches a little bit and her wings spring from her back. She stands up, turns around, and opens her wings all the way.

Uzi: “time to pay your dues!! Scratchies!! Come on!!”

N chuckles and starts gently scratching and massaging her wings. They get sore and itchy from being cooped up all day at school

AU where a very young human child somehow survived the Copper 9 collapse, and V has been taking care of them in secret. Mama V is best V lol

Series: Murder Drones AU Criteria: V find something deep in the rubble, a stasis pod with a small human child inside, waking up. AU title (optional): Settling Down

After a small tiff with Lizzy, V finds an old house that she and the others missed during the initial attack on Copper 9. Inside is a a pod with a skeletal figure trapped under rubble as though protecting the pod on top.

What she finds is a child that is waking up now that the atmosphere is breathable, and a worker drone domestic care signal is detected.

She takes the child, Babs, and straightens up the house to be livable for the small child, caring for her to the best of her programming. Thankfully the food recycler works.

After a week, a search party of Lizzy, N, and Uzi find her, and.. come bearing gifts. Uzi helps hook up more systems while Lizzy and N have more clothing for the child.

Eventually Babs falls asleep in Lizzy's arms, and V sees something. Something she hadn't thought she wanted until now. She saw a future with this worker drone, a future and family together.

Put down the transfer helmet Uzi, we'll let her at least get to teenage years before making her a drone.
