I'm finding it very painful to read things about Splinter being a bad parent recently.

Like, I've been noticing a trend where the boys get really frustrated to the point where they start yelling and getting all their pent up feelings out about the situation they were raised in and stuff, which is totally valid, not saying it's not.

But while the boys get to yell it out, they keep Splinter from explaining his own point of view. Instead it's "I get raising 4 kids by yourself is hard, but that's no excuse to leave us alone" or "just because your were put through such a traumatizing event that changed the entire course of your life m, doesn't mean you can just shut down and fall into depression".

They're either acknowledging his reasons for being absent and saying it wasn't fair, or completely ignoring that Spinter could have had something keeping him from being fully present, but in either situation, they gloss right over it so that they have it worse then he ever could.

Might I remind you, they refused to tell him about anything that happened in the show right up until they were literly fighting each other for the armor pieces because they didn't want to worry their dad (or get grounded).

They kept brushing him off when he tried to tell them exciting stuff he used to do to try to find some common ground the only way he knows how.

When Yoshi got angry at his own grandpa, it was seen as wrong because he should have been nicer to his only relative, but when the boys do the same thing back, it's seen as totally ok?

Can we look back at the kids' photos where Splinter is seen comforting and playing with the boys?

How about the boys being so happy to get attention instead of hiding away in disgust?

I understand there have been points in the show where we clearly see the absent side of him, and I'm not giving him a pass for it, just to be clear.

I'm just wondering why he's not allowed to vent about his own struggles and depression without being interrupted that it's not valid enough?

The boys clearly love and adore Splinter.

I think something important to bring up to counter the defeatist attitude I’ve seen going around of “give up AI is inevitably going to take your art jobs” is a lack of awareness in the people making these claims. Most of them seem to not be in any sort of creative industry.

So here’s the thing. I work as a professional artist at a studio that regularly accepts art submissions from freelancers… and we REFUSE to use AI generated imagery. It’s even stated in our contracts and legal agreements.

We will not be taken advantage of by paying hundreds of dollars to AI prompters who use legally questionable means to “create” their submissions.

While many of us in the studio find AI to be ethically unsound, at the end of the day… it’s because AI is literally a LIABILITY. Avoiding it now will save us a lot of trouble and legal drama down the line.

It’s just common sense.

Well, my name is Lokidotir, which actually means "daughter of Loki," so I'm not really the trickster you're thinking of, but I see the confusion.

Altho I think I can still answer this-

Even tho Loki has had such the love mess in his long life, I really don't think those two would work at all in a ship. Especially depending on the version of Loki your asking about.

I would assume you're asking about the Marvel variation, and I believe wholeheartedly that those two only see each other as brothers and nothing more than that. I mean, look at how they always talk to and about each other. It's always 'brother this' and 'brother that'. Their bond is so deep in brotherhood, even more so after they learned they are not blood brothers.

Sorry I've been quiet. I was hit with a sudden urge to sew, so...

Donnie originally was going to have a smile like the first two but his expression killed me after the first four stitches so I decided to keep him that way.

I just spent a few more hours making two more coloring books :)

They are my own drawings (I call them Crayola Cats).

The second one is currently drying from the glue, but they are both the same, just page placement is a little different.

This one is only 12 pages this time.

I've done it!

After most of a year digitizing my art, brainstorming the different components, and finally learning how to bookbind, Here is my finished product!

Every page is hand drawn by be, digitized for clearer inking, then hand stitched pages for a one of a kind everytime coloring book.

Only one of these images is a screenshot Redraw while the rest are pure mind drawn. It was still hand drawn (on cardboard) over two days then digitized like the rest.

20 pages of art. With soooo many more for a part two AND three!

I didn't want to make it to big, but this one is purely rottmnt fan pages.

I have more in the works for my own drawings, hopefully simplified versions of them.

I'm very excited to see if anyone likes this as much as I do :3

Little Kid With A Big Death Wish changed my brain, so I typeset it. And then @remedyturtles indicated they're okay with me sharing it. So there's also a link to the Google Drive files if anyone wants it:

Note: There are FOUR versions in the folder. This is because (due to the way I designed the pages, mostly; I wanted it to be pretty, okay? I wanted it to be thematic) the full book is almost 900 pages long. So if you want it as an electronic file to read, or if you are actually ambitious enough to bind a 900-page 5x8 book, you want the 'Deathwish Full' files. Otherwise, if you are sane, I broke it up into three 300-page-ish sections, which are Part 01, Part 02, and Part 03.

Regular .pdf files are the individual pages in order. These are the files you want if you (a) are downloading this to read electronically, or (b) intend to pass the file through your own imposition software. (Like if you want to print on paper that isn't letter-sized, for example.)

Bookbinder folders have the imposed PDFs. Meaning: the files you want if you're going to print and bind this thing. Within those folders, the 'typeset' files are aggregate (the whole book, with ALL the signatures, are in the one single PDF). Signature folders have (you guessed it!) individual signatures. These are good for test prints (four pieces of paper is a cheaper test print than, you know, 70-something), or just making sure your printer doesn't run out of juice as you go.

All of the book is in color. But it's also all (mostly all) blues and greys, and I did a test print on my blank and white printer at home. So if you don't have access to a color printer (or the money), I promise it still looks nice in black and white. :)

A second note, on margins and bleed: the artwork does extend into the bleed (or at least, it's supposed to). Please keep that in mind when choosing a printer and your print settings. Please also do a test print. Please please please.
