PAT KARAM, Location Manager
After studying American History at Sussex University I then lived in the USA for four years. Returning to the UK I already knew that I wanted to work in the film industry in some capacity. Coincidentally I was sharing a flat with a 2nd Assistant Director who said one day, “You’d be a good location manager”. He called one on the spot and I started as a clueless assistant location manager the next day on Mr Bean’s Christmas Special.
I moved pretty quickly to working with several location managers. There were not as many films being made in the UK at that time and I worked on what were then the really big TV shows such as Inspector Morse and Kavanagh QC which then attracted up to 14 or 15 million viewers per week..!
I moved onto lower budget British independent films such as Snatch and 28 Days Later before moving into bigger scale movies such as Everest, Legend and Mary Queen of Scots. With the recent boom in high end TV production I also location managed the first 3 seasons of The Crown for Netflix.
PANI SCOTT is an Editor having worked in Film Post Production for over 20 years. After a degree in Film at what is now the University for the Creative Arts, she was lucky enough to begin her career working as a first assistant editor on Lynne Ramsay's first features, Ratcatcher and Morvern Callar. Pani continued to work as a first assistant/assembly and VFX editor, in the UK and the US, on films by directors such as Stephen Frears, Terry Gilliam, Robert Zemeckis and latterly as Associate Editor on Kenneth Branagh’s Murder On The Orient Express.
Since last year she has been editing short films for the BBC (Leading Lady Parts), Bumble Female Film Force (A Battle in Waterloo) and Screaming Violet Productions (The Honey Makers) whilst pursuing an MA in Cultural Studies at Goldsmiths, University of London.
BRADLEY DOWN is a Development Executive for Film and TV working alongside Producer Nira Park. After graduating from The University of Manchester with a Bachelor's degree in Film Studies and English Literature, Bradley moved to London to work for Arts Council England in support of new writers and poets including Kate Tempest and Polarbear. From there, he moved to BAFTA where he managed the Academy’s awards juries and new talent initiatives.
After freelancing as a Talent Development Executive for organisations including Film London, Creative England, and The Film & TV Charity, Bradley joined Big Talk Pictures to work full-time in script development.
In 2018, Bradley left Big Talk Pictures to join Nira Park’s new venture where he develops projects with Edgar Wright (BABY DRIVER, HOT FUZZ), Joe Cornish (THE KID WHO WOULD BE KING, ATTACK THE BLOCK), and a broad slate of filmmakers working in both the UK and USA.
