I know this isnt a question about your EXTREMELY APPETITIZING (i cabt spell) au but im obsessed with the way you draw curls

You wouldnt happen to have a method or some tips cuz my curls look like crumpled sand paperand yours are so hecking nice to look at, im dying 😩😩

Id say good artists dont gatekeep but if you want to gatekeep i cant really find you and make you (or can I?)

Also, I speak on behalf of literally every person that has seen your Steebies and Staries when I say you draw like God personally chose you as the tenth muse

I’m honored you’re coming to me for tips, so I’ll do the best I can to explain it!

Tbh I wasn’t sure how to begin- more often than not I just wing it. Start with squiggles while keeping in mind stuff like shape, volume, and weight as you build a silhouette.

Do your studies! Find different images of curls and either trace or reference them a couple times to get the hang of how the hair twists and turns. There are different curl types with factors that effect how those types will appear and it’s important to figure out how you like to draw them, the way I go about it may not work for you, but this is most comfortable for me.

More likely than not you’re going to go at it for a bit as you polish it. You’ll probably end up tossing some of your squiggles. Some of your sketch is just there to help build the whole picture!
