On Castlevania season 2

There is so much to say about the series but I will stick to what really blew my mind. Mind the spoilers beneath the cut.

-Isaac: I loved his characterization. I had concerns about how he would be addressed, since we know him from CoD and then there was the design change. I AM SO HAPPY. He’s a completely different character, certainly, but he is SO DAMN GOOD. Rational, driven, he actually cares for Dracula and the feeling is reciprocal. I just… I can’t. I adore him so much. His face when Dracula sent him to the desert. SOMETHING DIED INSIDE ME.

-That scene in Alucard’s room: I CRIED LIKE A BABY. I was happy to get a real taste of the relationship between Alucard and Dracula. It was so intense and sad. Especially that part where Dracula is dying and tries to hold Alucard but he’s so scared he backs away. It broke my heart.

-Lisa: Penicillin? FUCK YES.

-Trevor and Sypha: We actually saw them connect and trust each other. Lovely.

-Alucard the teenager: I lolled so much. He’s so annoying.

-Bloody Tears

-Carmilla and Hector: A radical deviation from the manga, but damn. Carmilla really made me hate her as much as I loved her. Hector was meh, I mean, he’s cute but I missed his sass.

-The Belmont Library: My librarian wet dream. Also, they had an index. -No Grant: :( -Alucard’s protagonism: I really think they gave him way too much importance. Trevor kind of faded in the back and well, I really wanted to see him epically fight Drac in a huge monster form. -Dracula’s huge lava ball thing: fuck yes -Sypha, Lady of Castlevania: She actually managed to move the freaking castle. GO GIRL. So that’s it for now. I really need to rewatch to get all the easter eggs, but oh boy.
