I am reminded about my old headcanon that Curufin deliberately sabotaged his relationships with his cousin and his son to protect his son. The lengths this man will go to keep his baby safe are insane.

Moryo leaves a hand knitted jumper for Curvo's cat
Curvo hums and manages to coax Snow into the red knitted jumper. The white cat was giving him a reproachful look as he freed her. A wide grin spread across his face at that and he picked her up again, heading to where Nelyo was. Snow looked so cute, he wanted a picture of her and his brother was sure to manage a lovely one.

[ LAW ] - If they got to decide, how would society be different? for both
The two of them shared a look. Their wordless communication less from having discussed this before and far more because they had spoken to one another for too long to miss the wordless statements. At last Curufinwe turned away from his brother.
"I would make it where people do not take what belongs to someone else. It hardly matters what it is only that if it is not theirs they must return it to whoever it rightly belongs to, namely if gifted then the person given it and if created then the creator."
Celegorm snorted and ran a hand through his hair. After a moment he sighed and waved vaguely towards Curufinwe.
"Something like that... though I think perhaps less interest in possessions or what other people have. Not everyone wants to flaunt everything... and not everyone really feels the need to tell everything about their lives and that should be respected and accepted." Naturally he was referring in part to his relationships but that was beside the point.

as the season changes, remember that you, too, are always changing. always growing. always moving. like snowflakes forming a snowbear, you are multifaceted and incredibly, beautifully unique. be proud of yourself for all you are, and all you will become. this little bear is proud of you, too!

"I heard that there was some... disagreement going on here and decided to check on you." Curufin replied nonchalantly.
He frowned and looked towards the fireplace trying to remember where the teabags and such were. Failing to remember he sighed and stepped to the door, requesting some tea being sent to the room for them from a passing servant.
Seeing how Snow was pressing her head into Maedhros' hand purring contently Curufin smiled and sat next to him. Lomear jumped into his lap once he was sitting. "The tea should be here soon. I requested some being brought up... if I burned another rug our brothers would never let me live it down."
Curufin looked at his brother for a moment before deciding he needed a moment to calm down. He picked up one of his cats and shoved her into Maedhros' arms before giving him a light push towards a window seat. "Do you want tea or wine?"
Inbox Answered---
--- Brooding anger swirled like a quiet hurricane, spinning in the depths of Maedhros' soul. He had not heard Curufin come in, and gave a deep breath of surprise when the animal was put in his arms and began nosing his face. His large hand smoothed over her fur, and he looked over to his brother.
"Tea." He replied calmly, scratching behind the cats ears. "I'm not in the mood to be dulled." Long limbs stretched out over the windowseat. "What brought you here, Curvo? You've been quiet of late."

lordsofhimlad:
Remembering the path Tyelca easily kept up with the Vala, knowing how to move to avoid the obstacles in his path. Huan happily leapt after them dashing through the woods with happy barks as he ran. The two of them slowed to a stop a bit further from the cave than Orome did so that the bears would have time to see and recognize them, it never did well to startle a mother bear while her cubs were out playing.
Huan padded over to the cub trying to climb the tree and gave it a nudge to help it on up earning a playful squealing growl from the cub. Tyelca walked over to stand by Orome eagerly looking at the mother bear happy to see her moving so well and looking so healthy.
Orome looked at Tyelca and smiled, putting an arm around the elf’s shoulders for a moment though laughing as the mother bear was coming out to walk over to him and nudge against the Vala until he pet her like an overgrown house cat. He glanced at the cub not currently playing with Huan.
The little cub seemed to be following his mother’s example and making his way to the two hunters. Not far from them he got up on his back legs and walked in toddling steps to Tyelca before wrapping his front legs around the elf’s right leg and clinging to him.

lordsofhimlad:
The presence registered on some level but not well enough for Tyelcormo to really recognize it or understand what was going on, not with how upset his emotions were. He wiped his cheeks though, even if he knew more tears would be running down them not long after. Sure enough as soon as Orome said that it was not just Huan and the woods that missed him Tyelcormo was crying again. Without letting himself think about it he reached over and gently cured his hand in Orome’s sleeve. It wasn’t Orome’s hand like Tyelca would have preferred but it was something that he could do to reassure them both that he was there.
“I would like to stay here for a little while if I may. I know I should go and see my brothers at some point. I do not even know if they are aware I am out of the Halls yet or not.” It was as close as he would get to admitting he came straight to Orome and his woods right then. “I missed it here as well… everything about the woods.” Was it selfish to say he missed Orome? Possibly but he wanted to say it. “I missed you. I know it was my decision to follow my father but I missed this, all of it, especially you and Huan and the times we shared.”
He watched Tyelcormo for a times before finally speaking, “When you were younger, before we even thought of the darkness that would find this land you used to run these woods. You would find foxes who lost their mother, bears who needed protection. Injured deer who you bandaged. You were a protector of all the wild as much as you were a hunter when it came time. You respected those who died so others might live on their meat, flesh and bone.”
“When you left for Formenos I could not blame you, you stood beside your father as a son should. I hoped that perhaps in that time you might have helped sooth his anger with Nolofinwe and all could return to how it once was.”
“When the Flight came… of course you had to go, you had to care for your people and your brothers as you had for those creatures of this wood. You would have hated yourself for staying and I cannot deny though I wanted to keep you, I would have been disappointed if you abandoned them,” Orome watched Tyelca, “I am not saddened you left, just what desperation made your family do… like a wolf backed in a corner.”

(Final reblog of this thread but I am open to continuing it elsewhere.)
lordsofhimlad
Curufin took a little extra time getting the bowl of fresh water so that she would have time to think over what he’d said and to treat everything she could without having to worry about him walking into the room or needing to rush to keep him from waiting. The signs of abuse were familiar to him and it angered him more than he was comfortable with to know that it had happened so close to them. Still his anger would do no good right now so he stopped a little down the hall from her room so he could clam himself. While he calmed down one of his cats walked over and twined around his ankles. Feeling it he looked down and smiled.
“Want to check on Irye and her kitten too, Lómëar?“ He asked the black cat. She looked at him and meowed softly leading the way to the door. Chuckling to himself Curufin followed the cat and knocked lightly. “Irisse, I’m back with the water. I also have a little friend that wants to check on you too.” As if that was her cue Lómëar meowed and put her front paws on the door.
Aredhel had finished a few minutes before, her eyes drifted to the hypnotizing flickering of the flames. Her mind seemed to wander, imaginings of what would have happened if she’d been caught–what might still happen if he finds her unawares. Yes, she was safe in Curufins realm, and for that she was grateful, but she could not deny the understanding that even in his realm she would have to be on her guard. Eol was a master of illusion, he would find it an easy feat to sneak in, and if she or Maeglin were outside of the walls…She hissed through her teeth, stopping such images from continuing and banishing their origins. She was thinking too fearfully, she had to stop. She was no longer in that level of danger. She was safe… safer at least. But there was a sliver of a question, dancing about in the orange flames, of whether she was only deluding herself.
Curufins return was soft in her ears, the knock shocking her from her state and causing her to jump slightly. A little friend? Aredhel stood, walking to the door and opening it. The sight of the cat made her smile, and she stooped down to hold her hand out to be inspected by it. “Hello little one.” she softly said, looking up to Curufin as if asking if it was alright to touch the feline. A shadow of a thought reminded her that this was Curufin, and that such a question was ridiculous. He’d clearly brought the cat to interact with them. “Lómion loves cats. He’d be thrilled if he was awake.”

"I want it on record that I have absolutely no interest in Eol beyond watching him bleed out for what happened to Irisse. I am sure he would look lovely bleeding out on the stone floors of my Halls as she gains complete closure for that relationship."

"Oh please, that was hardly what I meant and you can shove that attitude wherever you got it from. You know perfectly well what my problem with your husband is, part of the same problem I have with my baby cousin some days." His voice had an edge that he usually hid. While it was seldom addressed by anyone all the Feanorions remembered keenly who had the most direct hand in undoing their peace efforts.
"Regardless, spare me your talk of love. I well remember your ambitions and why you even came across to Beleriand in the first place. Something about a Kingdom of your own." He drew out the words slightly, almost tauntingly. Really he didn't care that much but after her response to his observations and teasing... well she could suffer from his scrutiny. It was only fair.
"A Thinda? Really Artie? You went for a Thinda? I mean I know you have your biases but still... Couldn't you have found a nice Teleri to marry?"
Inbox Answered---
--- Galadriel's eyes narrowed for a flash, and she studied her cousin for a moment. "You speak as if his origins were some kind of motivator in my marriage." She replied, hands clasping behind her back as she tilted her head and stared at him. "It was not. I am not wed to Celeborn for any other reason than I love him. He treats me as no other has treated me, and is my equal in every way that matters."
Sitting down, she leaned back against her chair, long legs stretched out comfortably. "If I had met a Ñoldo in all my years in Aman, or a Teleri, or a Vanyar, who treated me as Celeborn does I may have indeed married him. But I did not. It is not in anyone's power to control whom their heart chooses." Her voice quieted, eyes narrowing again though this time it stayed. "Who are you to try and tell me to command it, Tyelkormo?"

His smile turned soft as he watched her put on the vest. It fit her well, and still had a bit of room for her to grow before it would have to be replaced. His bigger delight was that the pattern he'd used with the leather fit her so well. Still her words surprised him a little and he gave a small soft laugh, rubbing the back of his neck as he realized he'd done it again.
"It seems I did it again..." He sighed, slightly dismayed with himself. Sending her a slightly sheepish look he tilted his head and corrected himself. "I meant hunt as in track her. With her being hurt I want to find her and see if we can help her recover from the wounds. If not then I plan to put her out of her pain. I don't like leaving anything in pain like that if I can help it."
That... was something he often kept to himself and his brothers, others seemed likely to take advantage of it. At least that's what he told himself when rumors of his bloodthirstiness were spoken near him. Standing properly he held out a hand for her to take if she wished. "I can show you some of the tricks I know if you want?"
"Little Artie had a little girl and didn't tell me? I'm wounded." The hunter teased lightly, he crouched in front of her and offered the smaller elf a nicely patterned, read floral patterned, leather vest. There was a small sheathe for a dagger, one that was not there yet, sewn into the back of it. "I would like to invite you to come with me for a quick hunt. There is a deer close by that got hurt and I want to check on her."
Inbox Answered---
--- "don't be. not many know about me." Celebrían tilted her head with wide silver eyes, curiosity flickering in the young depths. Not yet fully grown, she felt tiny beside the other elf, and eyed him as if she was looking at something wild and dangerous. Yet she did not feel afraid, and looked down to what he offered. Small hands slid over the material in appreciation, and her eyes flickered from it to him repeatedly as she carefully took it from his hands.
"I'd like to, but you'll be disappointed. I do not know how to hunt." She admitted quietly-- bashfully even, for though her mother and brother were active and wild, and she enjoyed the beauty of weaponry and tools, it was not something she did with any ease. "Amroth is the hunter. He can track anything for miles in the worst of weather. I can ride though, I'm good at riding. I'm a decent shot with a bow, and I'm quiet. But putting them all together. . ." She trailed off with a shrug.
Still, she swung the vest over her shoulders, trying it on over the delicate dress she wore, and looked at him with a small smile, waiting for his approval.

When you have to carry your little brother home from the festivities because he's a lightweight who can't handle his liquor. (To be followed by "When you have to share your horse with your brother because he lost his to some scruffy human", many years later.)
Just some belated Celegorm and Curufin shenanigans that I intended to post for @feanorianweek but then it got out of hand and I also had to work on some non-Silm stuff and now I can't move my arm anymore
