You can tell I got tired of editing when I got to Minthe lol (used PicsArt for the mint leaves). I wanted to edit a worried Persephone in the doorway but that required artistic ability that I just don’t have. 🤷🏻‍♀️

A star is born 🌟

I just had to redesign Hera’s fertility goddess form. In all ways possible, I wanted her to be opposite of Kronos, hence the total makeover.

I based her color palette off of a neutron star! Neutron stars are technically dead stars and she was “dead” there for a minute so I figured that would go hand in hand.

Fr tho, you guys seemed to really like my redesign of Leuce so I figured I’d give Athena and Hera a shot!

Some design notes

For Athena I kinda wanted to make her look androgynous but not to the point where she looks like Hades but with boobs. I also gave her a small scar on her lip bc I have a personal head-cannon that she got nicked by either Zeus’ skull or Hephaestus’ axe while emerging from Zeus head.

I’d say Hera is probably my favorite of the 3 designs. Now you’re all probably wondering why she has horns instead of the peacock motif people usually draw her with. And that’s exactly why: as much as I’ve seen some beautiful designs of a peacock-esque Hera, everyone does that. When googling her sacred animals I saw “cow” and thought it would be the perfect design detail.

I gave her horns based on designs I’ve seen of Phoenicians but made them more grand and draped with fabric and jewels so as to fit her queen status.

Here’s so more art and panel redesigns 🤭 life is pretty hectic rn so I don’t have a whole lot of time to work on very heavy text posts but I do still try to do art stuff where I can

Some notes:

Here’s a fun drinking game: take a shot every time Rachel forgets to draw Hades and Persephone’s wedding rings

Here’s another fun drinking game: take a shot every time one of the characters looks emotionally constipated in what is supposed to be an emotionally charged scene

Also I redesigned Artemis!

I designed her to look much younger than any of my current designs and future designs because I feel like very often in the myths she is depicted as a young girl or a young “maiden”

I did stick to the antler cliché bc duh. However, similarly to how male deer, moose, elk, etc. can shed their antlers, so too can Artemis! And as a fun bonus they never grow back the same 😀

Also as a personal head cannon (bc I wanted to incorporate the moon somehow) I had her eye be gouged out in a shooting accident with Apollo. Zeus then took a bit of the moon and fashioned Artemis a new eye and it follows the lunar cycle!

I'm projecting on persephone that she has OSDD, Despoina is a defense mechanism, she rarely fronts and is mostly there to hold trauma and complex emotions that stresses persephone. but after persephone gave up her powers, persephone has been using Despoina's instead, by accident (so winter and snow). This has caused a break down of inner walls along with the stress persephone is facing so that Despoina now can front. Despoina is at odds with persephone, and doesnt agree with her actions, but wants to protect her at all costs. with her new found freedom, shes ready to try confront those who have hindered and hurt her (as well as confronting perse's mistakes and trying to rectify past misdeeds)
