Seattle Public Library is doing this awesome program called Books Unbanned that allows teens and young adults (ages 13-26) access to their collection of e-books and e-audiobooks from anywhere in the USA. All you need to do is fill out a simple form and you get their Books Unbanned card. Please share this information far and wide. I know they're not the only ones to have done this, but the more the merrier!

Waiting outside of the emergency vet clinic as they do bloodwork on my #seniorkitty
Brought books but just can't focus.
Grateful for archived @fated-mates episodes that are helping to keep me calm.

I have a 14 year old senior cat who lost her sister last year. A month and a half ago, I adopted 4 month old bonded siblings. And the 14 year old wants nothing to do with them
I've just realized the kittens are the embodiment of the pining romance hero. They have so much hope that some day the 14 year old will let them snuggle with her.
Trying to read one of my new Lorraine Heath books last night and the picture in the top left had me burst out loud laughing. The kitten had occupied the chair the senior cat normally claims. Look at her pose.... it is completely "Just come join me... if you want the chair, you can just come join me."
The senior cat did not.
Romance story TO BE Continued.....

So freaking good. Friends talking about the power of female friendship represented on screen. Loved it

Sophie Jordan is back again! She’s got a new book out, The Countess, the first in her Scandalous Ladies of London series, featuring a true Regency squad full of scandalous ladies and answering the question: What if the Real Housewives were actually Regency-era aristocrats? We talk about friendships in old school romances, about why groups of women are game changers in fiction and in real life, and fill your TBR with groups you will absolutely wish you could be friends with.
You can find links to all the books we discussed here.

Did I adopt bonded siblings who had been up for adoption for about a month? I did. They were rescued from a dumpster where their mother had recently given birth to them
Did I consider calling the boy Craven??? I did
Instead, I'm leaning towards Apollo and Artemis. We shall see as they get used to our house.

Finally able to get this from the library. And it completely lives up to the hype of @sarahmaclean and JenReadsRomance. Such a great book. The main character seems so unlikable and it isn't that she becomes a different character, it is that layers are peeled off and she (and we) see her more nuanced. And the romance... so steamy.
This was such a great read.

Introduced to Joanna Shupe through @fated-mates. Love the cover blurb because it is truly @sarahmaclean showing her joy for romance and good stories.
I really loves this book on this snow day. And as I approached the end, I realized one of the things I loved most was that there were no snippy mean girls (other than Alice's mom) that were looking to undercut other girls.
It was refreshing. And I loved it

Usually, I am repping @fated-mates recommendations.
This weekend, I was on a Scarlett Cole binge. It felt great to get post-COVID, and I think have my brain recover so I finished her #Preload series. Then I bought all of her #ExcessAllAreas series.
And so much emotion. Highly recommend!

When GoodReads sends you an email about romance authors who recommend some great romance novels.
And you are reminded just how much of an impact @sarahmaclean and @fated-mates have had on your reading life.
I really need more time to read.

More books read as recommended by @fated-mates I think this one was a Jen recommendation during one of their recent episodes.
I was able to get it from the public library. Trying to reduce expenses and accessing a library is one way to do that!
It was a good fated mates read!

So, this remains a fan page thus far for @fated-mates and @sarahmaclean
I've had this book on my kindle for awhile... ever since I heard Sarah and Jen talking about it .
And wow. Ravishing the Heiress by Sherry Thomas was so good. Part sweetness and part agony... and when they finally bang??? Wow.
Thanks again to @fated-mates for all the goodness they have sent my way as a devoted listener.
I may not get to this Fated Mates Live (unless a lottery win comes through) ... but it will happen one day!

So finally hit by COVID. Luckily, I had a stack of comfort reads (inspired by @fated-mates ) to keep me company when I could finally focus on reading again.
Only, now I have so many more Lorraine Heath books to read because damn, @sarahmaclean is right. More people need to be talking about how awesome Heath is as a writer.

Okay, read Preferential Treatment by Heather Guerre. because it was featured on @fated-mates
Avoiding doing some schoolwork by reading this trilogy by her as well. It is on KU, and it was freaking good. I did not see some of the twists in this one!!

Christmas is quiet at my house.
A zombie movie marathon with one of my brothers is now a tradition. We watched #dawnofthedead2004 last night and now we continue with #Resident Evil after a hearty breakfast.
Then, I continue to tackle my TBR piles.

Almost done all of the Lorraine Heath books I had bought (more will need to be purchased. Yay for gift cards to bookstores!)
Planning for a quiet Christmas and Boxing day (which is a holiday in my province). More reads from @fated-mates are on my To Be Read pile. Let's see how many I can devour.
Thanks again @sarahmaclean and #JenReadsRomance for all the book joy.
