Mesmerizing
A sight certainly to be described as such when the young witch found herself in the exotic ports of yet another town and after exploring the dynamic cityscape, sunset approached and something beckoned her to the cove beaches. A sight beyond compare as it seemed another witch(?) or perhaps someone of a higher level seemed to be performing her ritual.
Lights and orbs fleeted around the graceful figure as she danced with a ceremonial staff of sorts, feet touching the surface of the water like it were but a marble floor; a sight, even as a witch herself, she hardly got to see.

"Fortunes--." an almost solemn tone as her aquamarine hues turned to the listless crowd, head turning from side to side. A midday hour certainly brought much people to this particular square she camped at so the young witch set up her makeshift booth-- Tarot cards already out and ready on the table for any interested visitor. After all she's running low and funds and part time jobs were scarce in this town apparently.
"Accurate fortunes-- miss, how about you? An offer for a fortune telling for the day."

Somehow the park bench that she was sitting on and decided to be her bed for the night wasn't as quiet as she hoped it be. Despite the late hour, it seems streams of people-- family, couples and friends, all were making their way towards what seemed to be a festival at the shrine at the end of the road. One where she quietly watched their passing smiles, clutching at the sleeping bag she had at hand a little tighter. The witch blinked in contemplation before her expression somber in the slightest despite the merry atmosphere around her.
She wasn't too fond of festivals.

"Ah." a small syllable left her lips in her slight realization. "...wrong building." A solemn blink was all that left her where she somehow found herself standing at what seemed to be the building of an organization of some sort. Assumably so; judging from the sights of men in lab coats and others in suits or a specific uniform. And no doubt at this point her dull brown trenchcoat stood out in the see of monochrome. She just needed to get to the city centre.. or wherever it was for civilians or common folk can find a decent meal and bed. Though no rush. that's all the idea of exploring anyways but it wouldn't hurt to ask.
The witch's eyes blink, surveying any willing soul for mild assistance.

His inquiry was unconsciously ignored as the girl was already knee deep in the fleshing out of his details on paper. She kept silent, only her dark brown strands bobbing to and fro in the slightest as her lead stained palm moved in the slightest all over the paper, bringing forth the shapes to life.
Her gaze was soft whenever she did lift them in those small split seconds but it was when she was sketching out his left eye that she jolted in a pause. One noticeable at least before she continued soon after, as though nothing at all was at hand. "...done." a small mutter before she straightened her curled back, turning her slightly smudged sketch page to show him, one that resembled of true likeness with him in heaps of skilled lead strokes, though despite the stranger himself not smiling, she drew his lips in that softened curve. A witch's intuition, one might say.
Tumblr media
"....okay?" well, who wouldn't want the (involuntary) model's approval himself right? "...You have lovely features. I couldn't help myself." She turned the page back to herself, inspecting it in detail before lifting her aqua-marine gaze back to him. "I'm sorry I held you. A witch's impulse."
Tumblr media
‘‘ Huh? Why do I have a bug on me or something? ‘‘
What was going on? Great, he was in such a terrible pose too, his head turned to the side as he glanced over at her. Though he soon saw that she had a sketchbook in her lap and she was drawing? Why him of all people would she chose to draw?
It’s my hair isn’t it?
Haise thought to himself, holding still as ever.

"Ah, sir, don't move."
her solemn tone rang out of the blue to the stranger walking past her. Her pencil held within an arms width, pressed to her thumb as one eye shut to focus on his figure. A small pause before her tool and eyes returned to the large sketchbook she placed on her lap, etching out a lead figure of his features onto the textured surface. Her eyes blinked quietly, focused on her work as she lifted her gaze to his, only momentarily, repeating this pattern in determination. Not everyday she sees an interesting passerby such as this one.

Wings of the Trapped | 19.3.2014
Quite still eyes didn't lift her gaze from where it was gazing. A struggle, it seems at hand as the witch found herself in a park-- somewhere in a distant city and the large sketch book along with her pencil spoke of what was her activity this cloudy wednesday afternoon. Her lips sealed as she watched at the branch just above her head; a beautiful butterfly, caught in the web of what seems to belonging to that of a spider. Ensnared, the tiny creature merely could buzz its wings no more than a bit here and there and the witch swore she could hear the silent screams of the beauty entrapped, thankfully whilst the owner of the home wasn't available.
A soft blink before she settled her sketch book and pencil to the bench she sat upon before quietly taking off her shoes, leaving her rather adorable polka dot shoes on and stood on the bench, elevating her just a little for her hands to reach the web. Quietly as she untangled the creature with care, not wanting to hurt it.
"Just a moment.... I'll get you out.." she muttered to the creature as it struggled, fearing her hands to be the shadow of what it feared of most though of course it was proven wrong when the young witch managed to untangle it with ease, carefully cupping her hands as she got down from the bench, now that she had the beauty in her hands, safe and sound.
A small hop as she sat back on the bench and slowly unfolded her hands, only to find the butterfly shaking in her palm-- a quiver of death as its long proboscis curled and uncurled-- speaking of it's pain that was surging through its tiny form. A small widening of her teal hues as the witch eyed the creature in confusion-- knowing full well that she was gentle with it and surely it wasn't her hands that had it in pain. Though it was then she realized that perhaps it had been sick already, prior to it's entanglement with the spider's web; a thought that had her eyes softened as she sat quietly with the creature; one that told her in its strained whispers that its time was near and it was looking for a quick death. How the pain was too much and taht it chose a fast death. That it's screams of pain were not screams for help despite how the young witch had taken it to be.
"I'm sorry... I didn't know.." she spoke softly before she hushed the creature. "....But do not choose death like that..." her tone softened as she leaned closer. "...If its relief from pain until death finds you.. I will help."
Slowly her long lashes veiled over her eyes as a foreign string of words fell melodiously from her lips; a spell better than any cauldron and woven in the sound closer to a forest thrush; sweet, lulling but melancholic. A song for her tiny friend that slowly had it's desperate screams quelled where it's ears picked up the song sung by the witch and in its lulling, Softly, as its life precedes from its small form- following the lull of the melody put forth and death claimed it, ceasing its movements in the palm of the witches hand, just in time for her to sing the final note.
Eyes, reopened, like the grass after a cold rainy day sadly gazed at the life that passed in her hands and quietly, she leaned in to place a bare kiss-- one not touching the creature's vessel but in respect for its life that passed.
"May you find happier places to where you're headed.. o' little one.." her voice softly fell as she smiled softly.
Tumblr media
"May all the happiness visit you in all the lives you have here on next.."
