Seriously instead of being blank and risking writers blocking you:
- put 18+ or your age/age range in your bio
- upload a pfp and background
- reblog the fics you read or want to read. Writers who feel like you’re not interacting in any way shape or form are more likely to block you.
Otherwise you look like a bot and I may block you.
No one’s asking for your whole identity. Everyone on here is anonymous unless they go out of their way not to be. It’s also a site for niche interests so there’s no need to be self-conscious. No one will judge you.

I think you misunderstood. Please, let me explain.
There is no full-on international sign language, as in a singular "language". Some signs are shared in other countries or are fairly understandable no matter where you go, sure, but there is no ONE sign language to rule them all 😅 — basically. Don't get me wrong, there is enough there to be considered a pidgin form of sign language. Which is not as complex as natural sign languages and has a limited lexicon. And many traveling or meeting up internationally can use it.
But the importance of "International Sign Language Day" is not entirely meant just for that pidgin form of sign language.
The phrase "international" here is meant as a broad statement to celebrate ALL sign language, everywhere — the entire community encompassed within it. This is done to raise awareness of the importance of sign language and the full realization of the human rights of people who are deaf.
As the wiki would put it: International Day of Sign Languages is celebrated annually across the world on 23 September every year along with International Week of the Deaf. The choice of 23 September is the same date that the World Federation of the Deaf was established in 1951.
How do you celebrate International Day of Sign Languages?
Learn a sign language. Learning sign language is one of the greatest ways to commemorate this day!
Join in creating awareness. Raising awareness is another way to commemorate International Day of Sign Languages!
Attend or host events for awareness!
I hope this helped clear up some things?
Happy International Sign Language Day! 2022
