I cannot emphasize how important it is that we are at CW's throat every time a tv show canonizes a bi character. Make them feel the wrath. It was always the network. They were the delusional and hateful ones! They chose homophobia over filling their pockets with cash and their failure to make destiel canon will haunt them for the rest of their days. Every time there is a new bi character on the block, we will raise a toast to Dean Winchester and say one more fuck you to cw with our whole chests out! That's their legacy. Failing to make history because of their bigotry.

I rewatched Howl's moving castle this weekend and got inspired.

'Castiel should have been Dean Winchester's lover' yes and in a way he was!! He was the only one who saw Dean and loved him not despite his flaws but because of them! He was the one who sacrificed himself for Dean and things that were important to Dean over and over again! He was the one who watched silly Westerns with Dean and indulged Dean's interests, the one who took care of Dean and healed him, who made sure Dean knew he was worth something and that the world was a better place with him in it! So yeah, Castiel was Dean Winchester's lover. But I agree, they should have fucked on screen too.

i'm team cas and dean are stupid for each other and i love how different their "stupidity" is.

dean is stupid for cas in the sense that he'll repair cas' truck after watching the angel leave with kelly in his impala. not just that. he'll find excuses for cas' behavior, too. dean is stupid for cas not just because he finds him devastatingly handsome but because he finds him fun as fuck and just an amazing "guy" to be around. dean is stupid for cas in the sense that he kinda hates angels but he thinks it's "awesome" that their "best friend" is an angel. dean is stupid for cas in the sense that he'll make him a cassette as if they're two teenagers in the 80s-90s and not one human being almost in his 40s who could actually use words to describe his feelings and an ancient being that can see people's aura and perceive their sense of longing.

meanwhile cas is stupid for dean in the sense that he gives up an army for dean (and then dean dies anyway) or that he summons a cosmic being to save dean (and then dean dies anyway).

I think the difference between the fake Deans Naomi had Cas kill is that (the one we did see) begged for his life. He asked cas not to kill him.

but the real Dean (mostly) begged Cas to break whatever was making him this way because he KNEW Cas would never do anything like this.

even though at this point Dean doesn’t trust Cas completely, that he’s betrayed him once.

He didn’t truly begged for his life, he begged Cas to remember his.

i know this isn’t ground breaking, in fact it’s a very obvious observation but the more i think about destiel, the more i get insane and brain dead! :)

What do you think Dean is thinking right here after cas says I love you? Because I’ll tell you what I think. He’s just thinking “no” over and over again with different meanings.

Dean Winchester in SUPERNATURAL 7.07

Dean only said Cas was like a brother to him twice in the entire show and that was only after the moments got too gay. It's clear the writers were like "oop that was a little fruity. Quick! Make Dean say something heterosexual!"

It annoys me when people say Dean didn't show enough emotion in the confession scene because not only was it confirmed that a lot of Jensen's takes were severely edited and chopped up, but Jensen himself confirmed that Dean was in shock. Dean could not comprehend what was happening or what exactly was being said until Cas was gone and it was too late. Everything was happening too fast for his brain to process. All he knew was that something bad was about to happen and that Cas was saying goodbye to him.

But once Cas was gone and reality hit him and he realized what exactly had just happened...he was clearly devastated. He sat on the floor sobbing for who knows how long.

Men that Dean would have had freak nasty life changing sex with if the network and executives weren't cowards and allowed him to explicitly be bisexual instead of hiding his sexuality behind subtext and implications.
