"oh, i know." lucy had been banking on the tequila sweetening the deal, and appeared triumphant when her intuition worked out. she relaxed a little when he offered her a smile, taking comfort in the fact that he hadn't immediately shooed her away. lasagna night was, indeed, an important one, after all. as he examined the bottle, lucy's lips retreated into her mouth and made a smacking noise a moment later. her gaze shifted playfully as she appeared to be considering something. "that information is classified." her lips were sealed.
lucy moved toward the nearest seat, settling in before he was able to question her further on the price. she waved away the thank you. if anything, sal was doing her a favor by giving her some of his time when he had to get home for dinner. "the special occasion is me needing to share a drink with a friend, and you having lasagna night after said drink." it was sometimes hard for lucy to admit just how lonely she was. she gestured vaguely to the bottle and spoke, "you can do the honors if you'd like." lucy referred to opening the bottle up.
Tumblr media
Salvador hadn't been expecting the familiar voice that rang out in the empty shop and so, turning around, a smile easily settled itself on his face at the sight of Lucy. "Oh no why are you doing that to me, you know I can't resist the call of tequila." He replied, words close to pleading as he made his way towards her. Shaking his head a little, he took the bottle in his hands and examined it closer, tutting at the good label he saw there. Forget lasagna, this is it, he thought to himself instantly. "Lucy dearest, how much did you spend on this?"
Not wanting to sound too disapproving, he quickly looked up with a raise of his eyebrows, smile still in place the way it usually did whenever the kid was around. "I mean thank you but, I don't know... Is there even a special occasion?"

night and dine wasn't aleks's usual choice for dinner, but he had been walking by and couldn't resist that nostalgic greasy burger smell. as he approached the establishment, aleks spotted a familiar face. perhaps he shouldn't have called attention to that, but his mouth spoke before his brain had time to catch up, "zane? what are you doing here?"
he paused, almost frozen in place, which was a weird state for aleks to be in. typically, he was constantly in motion. aleks wasn't quite sure what to say, so typical. his inability to find the right thing to say, to be there for zane in a genuine way was a big factor in their breakup. looking at him now was painful, a sort of reflection of aleks's own shortcomings. it was also warm and comforting, somehow. aleks had momentarily forgotten his objective of getting food, and had pulled his hand out of his pocket, sort of resting it in the air. "i, uh — have you eaten?" it was his lame way of asking if zane wanted to catch up, or at least talk. "we could grab a bite, doesn't have to be here." he pointed his thumb back toward the building. aleks figured if zane was working at night and dine, he might be tired of their food.

Zane’s having a weird week, and what he doesn’t know just yet is that it’s about to get even weirder. He’s on his way out of the diner, his shift coming to an end when he hears a voice he hadn’t heard in years, stopping in his tracks. “I work here.” Zane says quietly, turning to face his ex. His first love. Aleks still held a special place in Zane’s heart, though he’d never admit it. “I’m on my way out, but you should definitely still get some food.” He adds, the words half muttered under his breath as he shakes his head, gaze moving to his feet.

aleks had been preparing a quick dinner, the television echoing off the high ceilings. he couldn't help but dance wiggle to the theme song of law and order: svu. his movements were almost involuntary; no matter how many times he had heard the iconic jingle, it would always be a banger. aleks had just finished up, piling some chicken pesto linguine on his plate, when phoenix had began battering his door.
he was lucky to have had already set down his plate at the coffee table. cat went running from the sound, and aleks felt a surge of fear. in the span of three seconds, he had attempted to recall any illegal substances he might have around, or any recent crimes that he might've committed. aleks recognized phoenix's voice after that moment, and sighed obnoxiously. he jogged toward his door and unbolted it, opening it with a shake of his head, "you fucker! you're going to give me a heart attack!" he extended the door and took a step back, a silent invitation inside. "i'm too young and beautiful to end up in an early grave." aleks stated, not bothering to hide his look of exasperation. phoenix's presence was always a welcome one, even when aleks wasn't given a warning. in fact, the two were around each other so often that phoenix's company felt as normal as being alone.

@lostandfoundfm (Aleks)
Phoenix did not have plans for the night. Usually, he would go out but he was so broke at the moment that it wasn't a possibility. Instead, he figured he would ride his skateboard around until he ended up somewhere. It didn't take long, however, before he found himself at Aleks' door. It happened quite frequently. He figured that, by now, he had the right to show up unannounced. If he hadn't earned that, well, he supposed that Aleks didn't have to answer the door. He preferred to think he had earned it though.
Tucking his board underneath his arm, he tried the door. It was locked as most were prone to do. It didn't mean he wasn't going to try. His own door was unlocked most of the time, due to his own penchant for forgetting his keys inside. With the side of his fist, he pounded on the front door. "FBI, open up!" he called out before adding, "Just kidding, it's your favorite person and if you think that it's someone different than me, I'm fuckin' suing!"

eru could sense that her neighbor felt bad, and forced herself to appear a bit more calm. it really had been no big deal to her, eru wasn't exactly a stranger to unusual substances tarnishing her clothes. most of her hobbies, even her occupation, weren't always sanitary.
up close, eru noticed that her neighbor was actually kind of cute? the time in between her response was maybe a little obvious. she had been staring, she realized, and that prompted a slight blush response. eru could've just as easily washed it herself, but their offer gave her an excuse to see her again. shrugging off what might have been a little embarrassment, eru offered a chuckle, "i might actually take you up on that. would tonight work?" she extended her hand. "i'm eru, by the way. and my hand isn't sticky, i promise." eru added the last part quickly.
Tumblr media
Old gym shirt or not, Marigold felt guilty for her actions. Had she been paying attention, this would have never happened. And she knew the other would be - at the very least - sticky. This certainly wasn't the weather for that either.
Recognition hit her and she nodded slowly. "Well, in that case... I can wash it for you," she suggested with a slight smile. It was a possibility that would make her feel better... unless the stain refused to come out. She wouldn't think about that though. "Just bring it over some time! I work Monday to Friday until about 8, but other than that, I'm free!" It was a lie. She'd work other times, but she would certainly be home!

open to ⸻ everyone! [ @chqstarter ] setting ⸻ cherry creek walking trail capped at ⸻ [ 3 / 3 ]
eru had a secret. on days where washington park appeared to be just a little too crowded, she would make her way to the cherry creek district. there was a trail there that wasn't quite as scenic as her usual one, but less foot traffic usually led to more animal encounters. eru usually left pb at home on the days that she would frequent this trail for that reason (he still seemed tired after their hike yesterday, anyway).
usually, eru preferred to go just outside of denver for a little mountain hike. today had a lazier feel to it, though. in acknowledgement of that, eru had settled in on a bench that faced the flowing current. sunlight poured through the trees in patterns that were ever changing, and eru took the moment to feel the breeze caressing her skin. the sun was gentle on her, providing warmth where the shade robbed her of it. eventually, her eyes had shut and eru had almost accidentally drifted off. she snapped back when she felt a presence orient themselves beside her on the bench. eru jumped suddenly, looking to her side in pure half-awake terror. she steadied herself, propping her hands on her knees, and taking a breath. "holy shit, you scared me!" eru explained, bringing one hand to her chest. "sorry, not your fault, i guess i passed out?" way to go, eru, she thought to herself.

open to ⸻ everyone! [ @chqstarter ] setting ⸻ l'arte district art gallery capped at ⸻ [ 3 / 3 ]
lucy's days were rather boring as of late. she felt as if she was maybe hitting a small block in her life, especially in regards to her writing. this resulted in a visit to the art gallery. lucy had found that, every so often, visual art could inspire her literary art. sometimes being alone in spaces like these would even spur a little something, or the right interaction with someone else. so, there she stood, rather moderately dressed in comparison to her regular attire. a long off-white floral-patterned dress accented her half-up, half-down hairstyle with short, pointed snow white heels barely peeking out of the hem.
it had become a goal of hers: be more confident, be daring. lucy was always waiting for the world to come to her, maybe it was time for her to initiate things. this led her to approach the person that had lingered at one of the pieces long enough for her to prepare a question. she came from behind them, standing a couple feet to the side of them and keeping her eyes fixed forward. if she looked at them, she might lose her courage. "it's a lovely idea, someone in our community created this. i think it's beautiful, it makes me feel... warm," she referred to the painting. "what do you think?" lucy turned the conversation over to them, curious as to why they had stood a moment longer in front of this piece.

open to ⸻ everyone! [ @chqstarter ] setting ⸻ star city denver capped at ⸻ [ 2 / 3 ]
what exactly had possessed aleks to go see a movie at one o'clock in the afternoon? well, he had the day off of work and a facebook ad pointed out that movies were $5 on tuesdays, something that he had entirely forgotten about. the real icing on the cake, however, was that the theater was playing shrek on this very day. who could resist going to see shrek on a tuesday afternoon? that was the american dream.
as he was exiting the theater, a mostly empty small sized popcorn still in hand, he rambled on to the person beside him, "i mean, the dragon eating farquaad? it will always be iconic!" aleks stuffed the last couple pieces of popcorn in his mouth before tossing the bag in the nearest trashcan. "anyway, are you busy after this?" he paused for a moment, seemingly deep in thought. his expression turned to puzzled when he asked, "also, is the dragon's name... dragon? do they ever give her a name?"

approaching ignition kingdom, lucy was met with that familiar garage smell that she had grown accustomed to over the years. ever since she had accumulated some wealth and bought nicer cars, she had been coming here for maintenance and repairs. it was recommended to lucy by a friend of hers, and she hadn't been disappointed yet. in fact, she would say the exact opposite. salvador had become a friend, one that lucy could relate to in many aspects. his presence was a comfort to her, and she hoped that the feeling had become mutual.
so, seeking a small amount of comfort in the evening, she had appeared late night in the garage with a bottle of some unnecessarily expensive tequila in hand. lucy was more of a red wine gal, but salvador had helped her broaden her horizons. she offered an apologetic smile, accented by her expressive eyebrows, when salvador spoke. shaking the bottle, in case he had missed it in her grasp, lucy propositioned him, "lasagna night is always a little bit better with some booze in you, if you ask me."
Tumblr media
open starter (@chqstarter) location and time: Ignition Kingdom around 7pm
Salvador's on his way to close down the shop and lock the last doors when he hears the swoosh sound that comes with someone entering the garage by the electric doors. Ah shit, he nearly made it. "Hello, sorry we're closed for the night, you can come back tomorrow morning we usually open right around 8." He calls out absentmindedly with a last click of the key before making a turn and facing the person who just arrived. "It's lasagnas tonight and that's a thing one can't miss, right?"

aleks was perhaps a little zoned out. his mind occupied itself on his journey with a not so detailed account of his dinner with his dad. he was made alert when he felt a gentle prod at his side. looking down, he made notice of a tiny human holding his latest miniature work in progress. how fitting, he thought. offering a smile to the kid's father, he directed his gaze back down, "it's cool." kneeling down, aleks explained to noah, "that's baldaar, he's a dragonborn barbarian." he hoped it sounded as awesome to noah as it did to him. he reached his hand out and waited for noah to return it as he returned his attention to elijah, "looks like you have a future rogue on your hands." enough with the dungeons and dragons references, aleks.

Elijah noticed just a second too late. It was almost as if everything had happened in hyper speed. One moment, Noah was walking calmly by his side, the next his hand was pulling something out of someone’s pocket. “Noah,” Elijah scolded, grabbing hold of the three year old’s tiny hand. “Sorry,” he apologized. “Apparently I’m raising a pickpocket.”

eru had been on her way back home from the final practice of the day. usually, she would've taken her bike, but the weather was starting to improve, so she opted for a relatively brisk walk. apparently, it might've been a little too brisk. her arm and chest connected with something wet and shockingly cold before she had much time to react.
jerking back instinctively and throwing her hands up, eru shook her head in an attempt to comfort the other person. brushing whatever liquid she could off of her shirt, eru was still looking downward as she quickly assured them, "it's just an old gym t-shirt, anyway. it has seen worse days." her gaze rose to see the other person standing there, and a look of confusion was apparent on eru's features. pointing vaguely at her, eru questioned them, "hey, don't i know you?" it took a moment to place, but it finally clicked and a triumphant smile showed that eru had already forgotten about her drenched torso, "you're my neighbor!"
Tumblr media
"No, I understand your worries," she said into the receiver of the phone as she balanced her iced coffee and the doughnut she'd purchased in her hands. "But I can assure you that communication has been going well and we're successfully conducting ourselves." Marigold was used to easing the worries of her clients. There was always one who was unsure of their proceedings. Usually, they were the ones who didn't want to get divorced in the first place. She felt for them.
As she exited the cafe, she nodded. "I understand, but I need you to trust that I will let you know if the circumstances change," she assured the woman on the other end of the line. "Yes, I know but -" Marigold was so engrossed with her phone call that she hadn't noticed the person walking her way. She took a couple more steps before colliding with them, her iced coffee cup crumpling against the other's shirt. She cursed under her breath. "Can I call you back? Thanks." She hung up her phone and frowned. "White vinegar should be able to get that out," she tried.

if you’re hearing SCRAWNY by WALLOWS playing, you have to know ALEKSANDR “ALEKS” O’KANE (HE/HIM/HIS; CIS MAN) is near by! the TWENTY-EIGHT year old WILDLIFE REHABILITATOR has been in denver for, like, TWENTY-EIGHT YEARS. they’re known to be quite EXCITABLE, but being CLEVER seems to balance that out. or maybe it’s the fact that they resemble DYLAN O’BRIEN. personally, i’d love to know more about them seeing as how they’ve got those HALF A DOZEN EMPTY FOUR LOKO CANS ON A COFFEE TABLE, SUBCONSCIOUS FIDGETING, FURRY COMPANIONSHIP, and CRYING AT THE END OF THE NOTEBOOK vibes. and maybe i’ll get my chance if i hang out around the RIVER NORTH ART DISTRICT long enough!
Tumblr media
hello, i'm lauryn! i'm twenty-two years old and currently reside in the cst timezone. my preferred pronouns are she/her/hers. i'm looking forward to writing with everyone! below is some information about aleks.
✗ ⸻ BACKGROUND
[ ! ] TRIGGER WARNING : unplanned child, adhd, medication, parental loss (maternal), car accident, anxiety & panic attacks, coming out, breakup
0 0 1 ⸻ aleksandr was born in denver, colorado, to two loving parents. he was an “accident”, but was cherished nonetheless. john and johanna were young and in love, ready to take on the world with a baby carrier in hand. aleks made this an easy task for them; he was a joy as a baby.
0 0 2 ⸻ come toddler age, though, aleks was a bit of a terror. if he was tasked with doing something that didn’t interest him, he simply wouldn’t do it. most times, he would actually forget all about it. chores were a concept that were not understood by aleks, and his parents eventually gave up trying to implement them into his life.
0 0 3 ⸻ always the peculiar, excitable child, aleks had trouble making friends early on in school. his parents grew to understand his mannerisms pretty well, but his teachers and peers were not as patient with him. he would get into trouble often, despite the fact that he maintained decent grades. aleks was gifted, but teachers noted that he “didn’t apply himself”. it wasn’t until the fifth grade that his parents really took note of his behaviors, and had aleks evaluated.
0 0 4 ⸻ as it turns out, he had attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, better known as ADHD. his diagnosis was a relief to his parents, who finally had answers for his mannerisms. aleks, however, couldn’t really care less. he was very much absorbed in his own thoughts and his own world. he began cognitive behavioral therapy and started taking stimulant medication around age eleven. it took some trial and error, but john, johanna, and aleks found a treatment plan that worked well for their needs.
0 0 5 ⸻ aleks went into middle school with far more tools at his disposal, and was able to perform better in school. homework wasn’t as much of a drag, though he still often avoided assignments when he could. his interests took up all of his free time. aleks was always interested in fantasy, the ocean, and animals, and would spend much of his time finding out everything he could about them. fantasy interested him because it was multifaceted and was pretty much what you made it. the ocean interested him in the way that no one really knows much about it because the vast majority of it was unexplored. that idea both exhausted and fascinated him; he had grandiose ideas of exploring it himself, but he didn’t think that was a burden he really wanted to take on. one thing stuck out to him about animals, though: they were constantly evolving.
0 0 6 ⸻ aleks struggled with monotony, so the evolutionary traits of animals and their behaviors fascinated him. while there were constants between species, he figured that field of work would have very little repetitive, boring moments. whenever his parents were willing and able, aleks would insist that they took him to the zoo, sanctuaries, exhibits, the mountains… wherever he could observe the animals. his parents also allowed him to volunteer for certain programs that allowed him to work with animals, which was helpful because aleks benefited from hands-on work. he also kept notebooks, writing down what he could about his findings because he was likely to forget them by the next day.
0 0 7 ⸻ aleks’s childhood was a curious one void of hardship. he made some friends and was so caught up in what mattered to him that on the occasion that people were rude to him or excluded him, he paid no mind to it. sometimes, it was aleks who was the troublemaker, anyway; he wasn’t known to have a filter.
0 0 8 ⸻ it wasn’t until high school that aleks experienced his first tragedy: the loss of his mother. johanna’s car was t-boned in an accident in which she was the only fatality. the news of this crushed aleks. in his world, there was no tragedy or death; he hardly understood the concept. even his great grandparents were still kicking. it brought him into a fairly dark and confused state.
0 0 9 ⸻ his mother was his best friend, and portrayed a sort of innocence in aleks’s mind. his father took over parenting responsibilities that she had previously manned, but aleks could tell that something was different in his father. he rarely cried around aleks, insisting that things were going to be okay, but aleks could tell that things were unlikely to ever be okay for his father again. in places where aleks could pick up the slack, he did. his father would try to object in these instances, saying aleks need not worry about them, but aleks would insist that it was no big deal.
0 1 0 ⸻ he appeared strong for his father, and vice versa, even though both needed to come together and mourn as a now two-person family. there was a year of increased silence and sad smiles and weary movements until the anniversary of johanna’s death came along. it seemed that the two couldn’t go on pretending everything was okay, it wasn’t. everything had changed, forever. when aleks caught sight of his father sobbing on the couch, he joined him and the two finally began grieving together. johanna’s death was more of an open discussion now, something that was acknowledged. they honored her as best as they could, taking the time to be sad but also the time to smile. smile for the life that she had lived, smile for the days that they still had together.
0 1 1 ⸻ by the time aleks graduated from high school, he was much more rooted in reality. his interests still occupied much of his time, but he segued well into adulthood with the help of loved ones. he had come out as gay in his senior year, which most of his family and friends were indifferent toward. aleks had never been a super social person, so no one had ever really questioned whether he was dating or not. he had always seemed so consumed in his own world. aleks had been aware of his sexuality for some time, but no one had ever really caught his eye romantically, so he had decided not to make it public knowledge until he felt comfortable saying it aloud.
0 1 2 ⸻ the year that aleks graduated was a tough one for him. perhaps it was the monumental change and the loss of his mother catching up to him, but he developed anxiety and struggled with panic attacks. therapy helped him through these difficulties, as did supplementary medication, but some traumas just couldn’t be healed. this would also be the year that aleks entered his first relationship.
0 1 3 ⸻ as it would come to be known, aleks struggled in romantic relationships. he had a tendency to be inattentive to his partners, and found difficulty in sacrificing his free time for others. it wasn’t that he didn’t care or wasn’t attracted to them, aleks was just a little clueless. perhaps he just hadn’t met the right person, he would tell himself. either way, aleks has trouble settling down with anyone.
0 1 4 ⸻ zane and aleks dated for around a year, and experienced a lot of hardships together. zane with his family disowning him, and aleks with his panic attacks and processing his trauma. they were each other’s first loves, and that almost always comes with messy drama. though both of them seemed to cling to the relationship, they both eventually realized that it wasn’t right for either one of them and went their separate ways. after this relationship, aleks had one more fling and has now been single since the age of twenty-five, sticking to more casual hookups when the need for connection arises.
0 1 5 ⸻ aleks enrolled in university as a fisheries and wildlife major with a concentration in zoo animal care, as well as wildlife ecology and management. many of the required classes for his concentrations were the same, and aleks wasn’t quite sure which one he was more interested in, so he chose to do both; he figured it would also give him a bit more flexibility career-wise. he made some new friends, who are still to this day family to him. their adventures and sentimental moments were the silver linings to his early twenties. aleks also joined a fraternity in college and spent one year in his frat house before getting his own sketchy one bedroom apartment.
0 1 6 ⸻ despite some struggles keeping a tidy space and forgetting to grab his mail for two months at a time, aleks was a relatively stable adult. he had a dungeons and dragons group that met weekly, he often hiked with friends, he started a podcast, and he wasn’t afraid to ask for help and support when he needed it. he made a living as a bartender, and maintained a wonderful relationship with his father. the two would meet biweekly for some necessary father-son time. aleks began to blossom in his adulthood; his emotions seemed to stabilize a bit more, and he possessed a sort of sureness of who he was.
0 1 7 ⸻ in true aleks fashion, he also managed to finish college at the age of twenty-five. it took him seven years, but he had finally done it and was proud of himself for getting his degree before the ten year mark. a year and a half before obtaining his degree, he began working at the denver zoo. he was aiming more for a sanctuary placement, but figured any foot in the door would be helpful. plus, he needed a change from bartending. he had been volunteering there for years, so he was trusted with a job as a docent.
0 1 8 ⸻ college graduation was a bittersweet thing for aleks. now, he had to really buckle up and take control of his life. the denver area, however, wasn’t a hotspot for wildlife rehabilitation. he ended up having to accept a job that was almost half an hour away, but he remained in denver. he wasn’t quite sure when he would be ready to leave the denver area. there was a small desire there to skip out, but he was scared to be farther away from his loved ones. they would encourage him to go on, get out of here, but he just wasn’t ready yet. the reality was that aleks wasn’t ready to lose more people. even if he would only have to drive an hour or two to see them, it felt like too much. so, for now, he’s taking it slow. he’ll know when he’s ready to skedaddle… right?
0 1 9 ⸻ fast forward to now and aleks’s sense of security remains rattled. he continues to work through his anxiety and trauma in therapy, and is working at an animal sanctuary just outside of denver, though he remains firmly planted here. aleks specifically works with the intake, care, and release of bears, and adores his job (and his furry companions). he moved into a rino artist’s alley apartment not long ago, and has been in the process of slowly tricking it out. his podcast has a decent little following (around 300 listeners per episode), and he has plenty of friends to lean on in times of hardship.
tldr ; a denver native who has adhd and makes a living rehabilitating bears. kind of an asshole but very loyal to the people he loves. lost his mom when he was a teenager and has issues with anxiety, but is working hard in therapy. has a podcast and is pretty much just chillin nowadays wondering if he’ll ever leave denver
✗ ⸻ PERSONALITY
0 0 1 ⸻ aleks is pretty much just a walking meme. he’s only really had one bad thing happen to him, though, to his credit, it was a monumental tragedy. he tends to joke about most things, but part of that is just a coping mechanism to balance out his anxiety. aleks is perpetually scared of just about everything, though he does attempt to mask that. it’s not that he can’t be vulnerable, but it is a little uncomfortable for him to let his guard down and let others really see what’s going on there. it happens sometimes when he breaks down and can’t really control it, or when he needs to comfort others, but other than that, he doesn’t readily reveal what he’s feeling. he suspects that other people have caught onto this.
0 0 2 ⸻ he’s pretty much just a big ole jokester. he thrives off of pulling small pranks on other people and making dumb jokes. quite frankly, he thinks he’s hilarious. aleks exudes a strong confidence, though there is some insecurity there. despite a never-ending stream of dad jokes, he is far from being the dad friend. if anything, everyone else would have to take care of him on a wild night out. he isn’t necessarily a happy-go-lucky social guy around strangers, or even loved ones. honestly, aleks can be kind of an asshole. he lacks a filter and isn’t afraid to let you know what he thinks or if he has a problem. in fact, some would call him rather argumentative. basically, he’s a lot. he’s prone to being self-centered, but when it comes down to it, aleks would do pretty much anything for the people he cares about. he possesses a strong loyalty, possibly fueled by his fear that they will no longer be around one day.
0 0 3 ⸻ aleks does have combined type adhd. he is medicated for it and has some strong and effective strategies for navigating his weak points, but he can be all over the place (in a relatively controlled manner). he tends to be fidgety and sometimes over-interested in certain topics or conversations. aleks can be really chatty or appear entirely lost in thought. a consistency in his personality is that he is incredibly impatient, and can make others nervous in some situations as a result. he doesn’t always interact well with others in the way that he can struggle to understand the consequences of his words, but that’s usually fairly evident from the start of talking to him. aleks is a pretty analytical guy, but he doesn’t really retain any information, so his analyses are often useless. he will, however, remember if you wrong him or if you’re just generally an asshole. on the off chance that you meet an unmedicated aleks, he may seem a bit more chaotic. his forgetfulness is amped up and his brain, which usually has seven tabs open on medication, will now have around twenty open and two of them are playing audio.

hello, i'm lauryn! i'm twenty-two years old and currently reside in the cst timezone. my preferred pronouns are she/her/hers. i'm looking forward to writing with everyone! below is some information about lucy.
✗ ⸻ BACKGROUND
[ ! ] TRIGGER WARNING : adoption, mention of bullying, unhealthy relationships (codependency), running away from home, implied mental illness, breakup
0 0 1 ⸻ lucille archer is a denver native born in colorado’s capital to a single mother named eleanor. her adoption had been arranged since a month after eleanor found out she was pregnant. lucy’s father skipped out at the first sign of serious commitment, and eleanor didn’t feel mentally or physically equipped to raise a child, so lucy was placed with janie and craig archer. they had always had it in their mind that they would rather adopt than conceive a biological child, and thus little baby lucy was placed with them directly after her birth.
0 0 2 ⸻ janie and craig were relatively eccentric parents who had a fairly atypical parenting style. they treated lucy as more of an equal than their subordinate, taking into consideration what she thought and felt about decisions in the family. janie was an acclaimed artist whose work was featured in galleries around the country, while craig was an author who wrote mystery novels. the two were nomadic before lucy’s birth, but the arrival of their child kept them in place in denver. they didn’t want to uproot her, and lucy expressed discomfort with that from a young age, as well.
0 0 3 ⸻ while there were certain obvious things that lucy couldn’t do, her parents let her make her own decisions for the most part. if she wanted to attend church with a friend or start playing soccer, they didn’t question it. their idea was that lucy would learn something about herself in the process, or learn something about life that could be applied in some area. outsiders to the family thought that they were rather pretentious, but lucy grew up appreciating the way she was raised and the things she was surrounded by.
0 0 4 ⸻ janie and craig’s relationship was one that inspired lucy in many ways. she wanted to have something similar, something real. her head was full of beautiful ideas and wonderful notions, but she had trouble physically manifesting them. she would write them down as they came to her, but holding them in her hands didn’t ever bring her much joy. as a result, lucy grew up to be a hopeless romantic in many ways. she not only romanticized her relationships with others, but also life itself. it led to some joyous moments, but some harsh letdowns, as well.
0 0 5 ⸻ lucy had an average outlook on school; she didn’t really struggle with it, but much of it was monotonous. at her house, they were painting the walls every other tuesday and shamelessly failing at singing opera; school seemed dull in comparison. lucy was allowed to dress herself from a young age, and this wasn’t always met with positive reactions from her peers. if there was one thing that was well drilled into her, however, it was to be confident in who she was and what she wanted, rather than take into account what others thought she should be.
0 0 6 ⸻ having such relaxed parents may have not gone well for others, but janie and craig got lucky with lucy. she was receptive to her parents’ thoughts and statements while also taking into account her own. whether or not it was their intention, janie and craig raised an artistic, confident young girl who could surely take on high school with her head held high… right?
0 0 7 ⸻ wrong. high school tore apart many of lucy’s preconceived notions about the world, as it does for many others. lucy felt neglected by her peers, like she was an outcast. she really only had one friend, her closest friend since childhood, and she wanted that to be enough, but it wasn’t. this beautiful world she had created in her mind wasn’t quite rooted in reality. in reality, her crushes never really liked her back and she wasn’t often recognized for her strengths and talents. after a while, all of the positive affirmations from her parents just became white noise. she would think, well, they were her parents, they had to like her.
0 0 8 ⸻ lucy had always known she was adopted, and she was fine with that, but being rejected by the world as a teenager rocked that stability and security that she had with the idea. it wasn’t until age fifteen where she met someone who was enamored with her. they appeared to relate to her struggles and understand her way of thinking. it was a hell of a high for lucy who was finally getting her wish of having such a passionate relationship.
0 0 9 ⸻ it felt like it was them against the world, and lucy’s outlook on life had been taken to new heights. it wasn’t healthy, she would recall in retrospect. of course, they didn’t really know any better. they were caught up in it all, the whole first love experience. maybe a little too caught up in it seeing as how they devised a plan to run off together.
0 1 0 ⸻ it wasn’t a well thought out plan whatsoever. he could drive and she was able to scrounge up some money, so they took off toward texas. it was a whirlwind romance, she thought. what could be more romantic? only, the dream didn’t last. barely a week in, they were virtually out of money and growing weary. the idea seemed so grandiose and big and incredible, and now they knew that it was a stupid, impulsive thing to do. they were coming down from the ideas of running off and becoming their own people and taking on the world together and building a life, and they were left with reality.
0 1 1 ⸻ lucy was reluctant to let go of the dream that they had built and woven, but her partner had made his peace with it. they ended up back in denver only two weeks after running off. once the novelty had worn off, it seemed he didn’t want lucy anymore. he had told her that what they had was not enough, and she seemed to understand. it was a rush that they kept chasing, and when things stood still in denver, it was hard to keep the passion going.
0 1 2 ⸻ their adventure was one that impacted lucy in both positive and negative ways. she was able to let go of some of her fantasies, but sometimes she wondered what would’ve happened if they had stayed down in texas, put more effort into it. she’d imagine herself waiting tables at a quaint little diner where everyone knew her name, and… wait a second? what if she wrote about her fantasies?
0 1 3 ⸻ her parents’ suggestion was out of love and a little bit of concern. lucy had always kept a journal and a notebook full of her ideas, but she never really did anything with them. this new hobby of hers began to occupy most of her time, acting as a healthy outlet for her not so healthy thoughts. oddly enough, though lucy was a phenomenal romance writer, what she really loved to write was horror. stories of romance and drama came easily to her, so horror stories were something new and shiny in her sights.
0 1 4 ⸻ lucy found that when she channeled her creative energy into writing, she felt more comfortable in her own skin. the things that she had always beaten herself up for were now things that she felt as though she could entertain others with, maybe even make a profit off of. so, following graduation, lucy took a couple of creative writing courses and hunkered down in her bedroom at her parents’ house, writing away.
0 1 5 ⸻ outside of writing, lucy didn’t attend college, though she did maintain a fairly normal social life. there was still a sort of hierarchy in the “real world”, she found, but people outside of high school didn’t seem to care as much about your status or appearance. lucy had found some solid friends and enjoyed the denver scene, finding art and beauty in places where others couldn’t. as an adult, she still romanticized people and ideas, but she also had the capability to remind herself that they weren’t always realistic (most of the time, at least). still, it made life a little less dull.
0 1 6 ⸻ by the age of twenty, she had a book deal! elysian fields ended up being a breakout success, and lucy was shocked. everything happened so quickly. suddenly, they wanted a sequel, and what about a book tour? then, there was the movie deal. lucy had never expected it, and she had mixed emotions. in truth, it wasn’t a project she was super passionate about. it was a cliche young adult romance novel about the leading roles in a movie who read too much into their chemistry and fall in love. the idea came to lucy after she was met with a confused face yet again from her friends, who she would pitch her ideas to, and they gently recommended that she should write something that would sell. and sell, it did.
0 1 7 ⸻ it was quite a change, going from living in your parents house to being whisked all over the country. foolishly, lucy had allowed herself to be roped into a contract promising at least two more books. it wasn’t that writing the sequels was especially challenging, just that there were other things that she wanted to devote time to. but when she would pitch her other ideas to her publishing company, they would ask why she was trying to fix something that wasn’t broken. on top of that, her friends would remind her that, if she completed the series, she would have enough money to fund whatever else she may want to pursue.
0 1 8 ⸻ so, she rode it out. by the age of twenty-four, two more books in the series had been published. there was a one-off in there, too, but it mostly flew under the radar. when her deal ended, lucy felt relieved. she had made a substantial amount of money and acquired some level of fame and status, but the entire ordeal had worn her out. so, she bought a mediterranean style mansion in the cherry creek district that resembled one of her doll houses growing up, and spent the next three years of her life holed up in it.
0 1 9 ⸻ the first year was dedicated to fixing it up the way she wanted it. she hired a two-person staff and they helped keep things in shape while lucy decorated and altered things to her liking. by the end of it, the house was transformed. it would have to be redone if she sold it because it was far from the standard marketable house at that point, but it was hers and it was everything she could’ve asked for.
0 2 0 ⸻ when she looked around her home and saw nothing she wanted to alter, lucy was stumped. there wasn’t anything left to do, and she was then forced to process the last few years of her life. everything had gone by so quickly that she barely had time to adjust and catch up with herself. this year was rough and involved a few vacations, but very little socializing with her loved ones. people grew concerned for lucy, but she would insist that she was fine. she was just enjoying her wealth, she would tell them. it looked a little funny, though, that lucy seemed to be avoiding the house that she just spent a year fixing up. too quiet, too little to do, she would think.
0 2 1 ⸻ it was almost as though her growth was stunted and she was still that twenty year old sitting in her childhood room, writing and dreaming of recognition. that recognition and adoration that she had craved was not all it was cracked up to be, especially since it was recognition for something she didn’t quite think was worthy of it. lucy was at least thankful for the fact that people usually didn’t recognize book authors by their appearance, so she was often able to navigate through public spaces without having to face much acknowledgement.
0 2 2 ⸻ in the third year, she wrote. and wrote. and wrote. she had found an agent who believed in her, who was willing to work with her if it was horror that she wanted to write. this agent was her comfort, and the first person to really ground her. they told lucy that, even if that series wasn’t all that special to her, it was to others. lucy began to make her peace with it; she had evoked emotion in others, taken them to a different world through her words, spurred their imagination. it was really quite beautiful when she meditated on it. this year was about healing and growing. lucy learned to take it easy the year that she spent writing; too much chaos was evidently not good for her. part of her considered seeking out her birth mom in this year, but decided it would be best not to. she didn’t have really any unresolved feelings toward that situation, and she imagined, by the lack of communication, her birth mother felt the same. there was perhaps a small part of her that was curious, but she knew that her curiosity could be damaging, so she banished it.
0 2 3 ⸻ on her twenty-seventh birthday, lucy’s best friend had insisted on taking her out to a club, but lucy bargained for a board game night instead. so, they went out to find a new board game and lucy met someone that would alter the course of her life. they were intelligent, thoughtful, attractive. more than that, they had clicked right away. lucy had always given thought to the concept of soulmates, but hadn’t really entertained it until she met them. it was the true definition of love at first sight. the kicker was that lucy hadn’t gotten their contact information.
0 2 4 ⸻ cue a dramatic artist going to that same bookstore every other day for three months in the hopes of seeing them again. everyone around her thought she was bonkers, and lucy agreed, but she still made the trip. lucy would grab a coffee there each day and browse for half an hour; finally, a little over three months in to this seemingly hopeless endeavor, they appeared. of course, she was not at all transparent about the circumstances of them meeting again, playing it off as a coincidence. lucy finally got their contact information, and the two hit it off.
0 2 5 ⸻ there was a genuine compatibility and attraction between the two, and lucy thought: this is it. he didn’t seem to care much for her status, she thought, though it didn’t seem to hinder anything. perhaps she had romanticized things a little too much, but her partner reflected back that same infatuation. they would write each other love letters, be vulnerable together; lucy eventually even admitted that she would wait for them in that same bookstore that they had met at months prior. it was a fairy tale in her mind, until it wasn’t. they were in a relationship for a whole six months before it ended. the last month of it, things had begun to deteriorate. it seemed to boil down to a lack of communication, but they ended it with lucy. this crushed her.
0 2 6 ⸻ lucy felt entirely connected to this person, and thought it was shared. she was willing to work on things, but they did not wish to do so, or to even see lucy anymore. the mourning process was brutal for her. not only was lucy forced to grieve the loss of this person in her life, she also grieved their future, her future, that she had grown to see as an inevitability. it was peculiar to others, only six months together, and she was in shambles. it was just the kind of person that lucy was; she loved intensely. the year after the breakup was a bit of a blur. her goal was to get through each day, and she did with the help of her agent and her loved ones, but it was hard.
0 2 7 ⸻ approaching her thirties, lucy made further strides in her career. with her agent’s help, she was able to get some of her novels that she was more passionate about published. her foray into horror was relatively successful, though it was unlikely anything would ever match the success of her first series. she was perfectly fine with that.
0 2 8 ⸻ the past few years of lucy’s life have been somewhat of a drag. she has had a couple flings, adopted a couple cats, and gotten involved in some charity work. though she has mostly healed from her breakup five years ago, there is still a lingering pain from it. lucy has developed healthier coping mechanisms, she has many friends and family to rely on, and she feels established in this world. if she wanted to, she could’ve retired a decade ago, but work keeps her busy, keeps her distracted. that little spark in her has dwindled, but she is trying to rekindle it to the best of her ability.
0 2 9 ⸻ nowadays, you can find her in the cherry creek district, though she often ventures into rino when she’s feeling social. she doesn’t really fit in with the standard cherry creek residents. lucy can come off as eccentric and dresses in colorful, often somewhat childlike clothing. that romantic life that she so desperately desires? she’s still searching for it. but, for now, she is taking in the stability and enjoying the small pleasures as they come. getting her hopes up would be a bit too risky for her at this point in time, but you can usually still find her with a smile on her face. some would even describe her as a ray of sunshine at times.
tldr ; a denver native who is a hopeless romantic and accidentally became a best selling romance author when she really wanted to write horror. had her heart broken a couple times, but she’s trying to stay positive (secretly she is still searching for a beautiful romantic life full of wonder) kind of a strange lady but super sweet and nice to be around
✗ ⸻ PERSONALITY
0 0 1 ⸻ lucy’s personality has evolved as she has aged. that vibrant hopeless romantic that once existed is still very much there, but is a bit duller now. she tries to stay optimistic, appreciate the small things, and enjoy whatever stability she can find, but there will always be a part of lucy that wants more. the world is still a wondrous place to her, but reality has poisoned it in many ways, and she finds it harder nowadays to romanticize things.
0 0 2 ⸻ regardless, you will often find her with a smile on her face. despite her eccentric nature, people tend to gravitate toward lucy initially. she radiates an energy that brings people in, but can also push them out just as easily; some people find it hard to be around lucy’s intense emotions. she is incredibly passionate when it comes to her interests. if you were to view her simply from her activities (backyard tanning, sunday mimosas, attending plays), you might mistake her for entirely average.
0 0 3 ⸻ deep down, lucy is relatively unstable, which isn’t always hard to pick up on with her. she is a bit childlike in nature, but has a moderate maturity level for her age. as lucy derives a lot of pleasure from her relationships with others, she can be a bit impressionable at times, even gullible. if she’s frustrated, she often seems a bit more stubborn. this especially manifests in her persistence to avoid things she isn’t ready to face, even if that means she has to spend a year of her life fixing a house. at this point in time, lucy is kind of detached because she is tired of being disappointed and is trying to avoid hope.

if you’re hearing UPSIDE DOWN by JACK JOHNSON playing, you have to know ERU THOMAS (SHE/HER/HERS; CIS WOMAN) is near by! the TWENTY-FOUR year old HIGH SCHOOL SWIM COACH has been in denver for, like, NINE YEARS. they’re known to be quite MULISH, but being COMPASSIONATE seems to balance that out. or maybe it’s the fact that they resemble ERANA JAMES. personally, i’d love to know more about them seeing as how they’ve got those FUR CAKED ON EVERY ITEM OF CLOTHING THAT THEY OWN, HARMONY WITH NATURE, ARGUING WITH STRANGERS, and A WARM POT OF STEW SHARED BY FAMILY vibes. and maybe i’ll get my chance if i hang out around the WASHINGTON PARK long enough!
Tumblr media
hello, i'm lauryn! i'm twenty-two years old and currently reside in the cst timezone. my preferred pronouns are she/her/hers. i'm looking forward to writing with everyone! below is some information about eru.
✗ ⸻ BACKGROUND
[ ! ] TRIGGER WARNING : family uprooting, mention of an unspecific injury, financial struggles, immigration, minor mentions of bullying (teasing), stray animal & rescue
0 0 1 ⸻ eru was born in a small town in new zealand called waipu. the youngest to a māori mother and an english father, eru’s childhood was rooted in exploration. despite her father, nero, being ancestrally disconnected from the tangata whenua, he and kiri, eru’s mother, had been together since their adolescence; the two were insistent on raising eru in aotearoa where her cultural and spiritual ties were more easily accessible.
0 0 2 ⸻ nero worked as an industrial technician while kiri’s occupation was rooted in fisheries. waipu had a fairly significant population of māori, and the parents encouraged eru to socialize with other māori children as she grew older. instead, eru was insistent on following her brother, amiri, almost everywhere he went. amiri was two years older than eru and, rather than exiling eru, welcomed her company. the two were basically inseparable.
0 0 3 ⸻ the need for whānau was emphasized in their childhood. having both a strong connection to their family and the māori society was stressed, and eru found comfort in this. while other kids around her struggled with their own identities, being a wāhine offered eru a baseline for who she was. there was always more to learn about her culture, different ways to connect. it was a beautiful thing to eru, though amiri seemed to struggle with it.
0 0 4 ⸻ amiri was a stubborn child who longed for independence. this was a point of contention at times between amiri and eru. while eru was comfortable fitting in with a particular group, amiri wished to stand out and be his own person. eru insisted that he could do both, but things were often black and white with amiri. eru found that as she grew older, she came to understand amiri more. while she felt as though she knew what it was to be māori and was able to reflect on her ancestry and her community, she grew confused on which parts of her were eru and which parts were strictly māori.
0 0 5 ⸻ growing up, eru had many friends. many of them were through amiri, but she made some of her own friends at school. she loved to swim and run, always with company at her side. eru was a bright child who didn’t struggle through her studies; she found putting effort into her schooling was easy as she was a curious girl. armed with an exceptionally vivid imagination, people were drawn to eru and the fascinating stories she could conjure, as well as the emotive paintings she often worked on. she wasn’t artistic from a realistic perspective, but she was easily able to put her feelings on canvas in abstract ways. when she was moved by a landscape, she would often take the time to paint it.
0 0 6 ⸻ amiri’s interests were more on the physical side, which eru also took to quite easily. the siblings’ early teenage years were a breeze laced with very little hardship. eru felt a deep connection to papatūanuku, the land. nature was where she derived the most comfort, where she was able to understand her thoughts more clearly. she and amiri would often sneak off to the waipu caves to observe the glow worms; those were her fondest memories.
0 0 7 ⸻ by the time eru hit age fourteen, their family was hit with a hard decision. kiri was injured and unable to sustain employment any longer, and the family was struggling to make ends meet. eru and amiri were not capable quite yet of providing, and their parents did not want them to shoulder that burden. nero put feelers out for a job with better pay and benefits, and they had to come to terms with the fact that they were going to have to move. nero was insistent on staying in new zealand, but an offer in denver outshined all others by a marginal amount. as a result, a discussion was had and all members of the thomas family decided that moving to denver was in their best interests.
0 0 8 ⸻ at age fifteen, eru and her family moved to denver. the naturalization process for their family took around a year, expedited by nero’s employment in the country. the thomas family officially held dual citizenship between the united states and new zealand. while amiri was relatively thrilled by this move, the rest of the family struggled. eru felt as though a part of her had been left behind in waipu. her concept of identity shifted as she came to realize that much of her identity had been rooted in her environment. with the loss of that environment, eru felt as though she had to start from scratch.
0 0 9 ⸻ on the days that were especially tough, eru leaned hard on amiri. eru’s curious nature carried her through much of her early united states experiences and learning, but amiri fit in rather effortlessly. when she was stuck to his side, eru fit in a little bit better, too. on her own, she often felt lost. some of amiri’s new friends would quietly mock him for having a sister that would follow him around, but amiri also found comfort in eru’s presence. there was a part of him that was not often apparent that missed waipu and the māori community that he was accustomed to. eru caught on to the fact that she became somewhat of a representation of those things to him, and there was a comfort in that for both of them.
0 1 0 ⸻ by the time eru was a senior in high school, she had adapted to her new life fairly well. at her home was her family, her own māori community, and her family did not let their roots die. her parents still seemed to miss new zealand greatly, but they grew to be comfortable in their new home. eru had made friends, though she still preferred amiri’s company, and had even joined the swim team. she had crushes of all genders and was a pretty standard teenage girl.
0 1 1 ⸻ graduation was daunting for eru. there was an emphasis on moving out after graduation, going to university. she was scared to be away from her family. amiri had moved out a year before she graduated from high school, and though she saw him at least twice a week, she felt as though that wasn’t really enough. the transition had been difficult. she had been working as a lifeguard seasonally and a swim instructor for two years now, and had the means to move into an apartment. eru could see that her parents were more than okay with her departing; they seemed to be growing weary of having children in the house, especially ones that had been as active as she and amiri were.
0 1 2 ⸻ it took a great deal of strength, but eru ended up moving into her own apartment at the age of eighteen. as it turns out, moving out was exactly what eru needed in order to begin figuring herself out. she had spent so much time around others that she not only adopted traits from others, but had also rarely been alone with her own thoughts.
0 1 3 ⸻ at the start of living alone, eru often spent time outside of her apartment, exploring denver and the surrounding areas. this was crucial to her learning to love colorado. her connection to papatūanuku was strong in the mountains, and the sense of community in denver gave her an appreciation of the population.
0 1 4 ⸻ not long after moving out, eru found a young great pyrenees wandering the streets of denver. he had begun to look emaciated with a leg that buckled as he walked, and his white fur was matted and dirty. despite his frail state, he acted aggressively toward eru, and animal control was needed in order to get the pup to rescue. eru followed along faithfully with his journey, checking in with him everyday and offering help in any way that the rescue allowed. she was surprised when he began looking more healthy, remarking that the pup looked like a miniature polar bear. a month after the then ten week old pup arrived at the rescue, eru was given the chance to adopt him. there were strenuous efforts to figure out his origins, but nothing had come up in their searches. eru took that opportunity with no second thought. she related heavily to this pup, as she also struggled with feeling lost, as well as disconnected from her origins. eru had been affectionately calling the pup “pb” (short for polar bear) and the two were bonded for life.
0 1 5 ⸻ while eru was a notoriously quiet and obedient child, she was a rather loud and stubborn adult. as it turns out, many of amiri’s traits were also present in eru, though they had been lying dormant for years. perhaps they made an appearance because she had a taste of that independence that amiri was always rattling on about. eru still had artistic tendencies and hobbies that presented themselves in graffiti, whittling, pottery, and painting. it was her more active hobbies, though, that tended to dominate her free time. eru loved to hike, bike, and swim, bringing pb along whenever and wherever she could. at age twenty-one, she accepted an assistant swim coach position at a local high school.
0 1 6 ⸻ eru also had a close group of friends that she spent a lot of her time with, though she now recognized the importance of setting aside time for herself as well. to her friends, eru was a headstrong, compassionate, energetic spirit with an often stubborn and sometimes hotheaded nature. she often seemed more calm in natural environments and rowdy in more closed off city spaces. when she would hike with friends, they would note that she had a tendency to be almost absent, off in her own head with a look of awe often present on her face. if you stuck eru in a bar, however, she’d be the first in line to sing off-key karaoke or get into a debate with a random patron.
0 1 7 ⸻ at the age of twenty-three, eru moved into a house with her best friend. she was also promoted to head swim coach of the high school that she had worked at for a couple years when the previous coach stepped down. despite her busier schedule, eru was concrete in making time for her family, who she sees at least a couple times a week. moving into an actual home helped eru to feel more established; she even started her own garden and tends to it with love. eru was pretty sure of who she was by her twenty-fourth birthday and was accepting of whatever part of her identity was meant to evolve or change. she had accomplished more than she had thought she would by her age, and this emboldened her. eru is now motivated by establishing her own roots in a way that honors her both her identity and her origins.
tldr ; a māori woman born in new zealand who moved to denver at the age of fifteen, rescued a very cute pup & became the head swim coach at a high school. eru is active, family-oriented, and stubborn despite being a quiet and obedient child and is currently just establishing her own roots and hanging out
✗ ⸻ PERSONALITY
0 0 1 ⸻ eru is an incredibly compassionate person who thrives on helping others. she isn’t the worst person to have around, as she’s fiercely loyal and will always defend you. she also possess strong leadership qualities, which makes her an excellent coach. having always lived in areas where sports and physicality are encouraged, there is definitely a competitive nature present in eru. the loved ones in her life fuel her as she is immensely friend and family-oriented. there is a lively energy to eru that is apparent to anyone she meets. around romantic interests, she can act a bit shy; there is a little bit of a hopeless romantic in her, but she would never admit that out loud.
0 0 2 ⸻ eru’s māori roots are important to both her and her family. they are the foundation of her life in many ways and amplify her ability to connect to both the earth and its inhabitants, as well as herself and her own ancestry. there is an individuality that she seeks, but she also recognizes her origins and balances these two things well. eru is not at all afraid to get down and dirty as she spends a lot of time in natural environments; she loves to hike barefoot and touch things in order to connect with or navigate them better. experiencing and trying new things is exciting for eru; often times, it seems as though there is an absence of fear in her. eru is easily able to verbalize and express her feelings, and often does through art and interacting with others. she has always possessed a vivid imagination and a proclivity toward various art-related activities and ideas.
0 0 3 ⸻ while she maintains a sometimes unparalleled maturity, eru often presents as immature because of her emotional, rather than logical, nature. she doesn’t always take time to think things through as she is very intuitive and tends to listen to her gut feeling. obviously, this is relatively 50/50 on whether or not it works in her favor. she does have a filter, but eru is also headstrong and sometimes argumentative. she sticks to her beliefs, almost to a flaw, and can be pretty stubborn outwardly. in reality, eru has an open mind and is likely to think things through at a later date, but she is an in-the-moment person and sometimes has too much pride to admit that she’s wrong. overall, however, she is quite sure of herself and confident in her ability to navigate this world while remaining true to who she is.
