Colliders
On each end of the map, a tree and a wall had a collider on them to stop the player from walk off the edge of the map, giving the world a boundary. The collider is a polygon collider. The polygon collider is a collider that wraps itself around an object, unlike a box collider that will be a box around the object.
Most things had a collider on then, everything in the player field folder has a collider on them as the player will interact with them.

Book Cover
While designing my book cover I used this man as a reference to draw my hazmat man, I then gave him some 80s looking stripes to really create an 80s feel. The book is based around the game. The books cover will have the main character on the front. it will have the gradient sun in the background(Yellow to Pink) and have the text across the top

Animation
All this set up here was to get the animations that I had created to work within unity. Its says in the control panel, then the games starts, if a new state is applied, for example pushing the walk buttons, then activate the walk animations.
It is very nice and works well. however, it still bops when the character is jumping. in the future i will create a jumping animation for the character so it runs more smoothly. I was told to make the frames 0 seconds long so it does not glitch out. Have two animations of 3 frames per seconds made it very glitchy.

Stephen King: Doctor Sleep




The shining Sequel.... What a disappointment. You could predict everything that was happing in the movie. Old lady appears in the bath, saw it coming five minute ago. Dead body appears next to Danny while he sleeps... Saw it coming at the Beginning of the movie. The only enjoyable moment in the film was the last 30min when they where at the hotel fighting Rose, and every time Danny open a door I said “Hello There” from his role in star wars. The cinematography was Amazing! it was really good, one of the best I have seen in a long time. The casting was okay as they fit there characters.
The introductions to all the characters and Villains were good. I liked Rose and how she was this big baddie but the longer the film went on the worse she got.

Enemy
Taking inspiration from The Happening, and from all the plants I looked at. This was the outcome for the enemy. I made the character look evil so the player knows they are bad. If I had more time I might of made a kind looking one to confuse the player. The Eyebrows may be abit too big.
I also animated the enemy so they lift the pot they are in up and flying themselves forward, they use there leaves as a little push to get them move towards you quicker.

Before The Finally character design.
Before I even started to create the original orange character, I walked into class and said I was going to make a character, at first we draw the big guy without a face. However after talking to some class mates we all decided he didn't fit into the game. From that point, during the break that day we added and Anime girl face to him and it made it perfect, perfectly funny.

Game character Update
After taking the character back to the drawing board and experimenting with different colours I came up with this, a traditional yellow hazmat suit. At first we tried the orange with the black outline however that looks too bold. We then tried with a black backpack and that was not enough. Then we put some different colours together. We tried red and yellow but yellow looked more natural.
After coming up with the final character design, I proceeded to animate the characters. I wanted the character to look very cartoon like. So the animation had yo very silly and child like to appeal to the younger target audience. I made him have a little bounce. Just by squashing the character and bringing him back up again was able to achieve the effect.

Game Character
His name is Jeremy, his wife died to the deadly gases coming from the plants and now is going out for revenge! The player will take control of Jeremy and help him fight the plants and get vengeance for his wife.
He is in an orange hazmat suit to fight the poison in the air. However, I dont really like the colour. I might add a Black outline to see how he looks, and maybe change the colour of the backpack. I want him to have an animation but first back to the drawing board to see what we can change to make Jeremy more appealing.

Jordan's 20min Activitie



As pairs Jordan asked us to create a elevator pitch for a character, a place and a story from a couple of pages from 'The Pet Seminary' this is what we came up with.
For the next project I will grab a couple of books related to the theme os the project and do this as it is an easy way to come up with ideas for a story and some character names.

Video Game Covers









I need to look at different Video game cover to get an understanding of how to make my poster / cover. I want the cover to look cartoonish so it can represent what the game will look like. That gives me a lead to look into Supermario, Pacman, Sonic, Destroy All Humans, Borderlands and doom. The rest of the game covers i can use as reference to the position of things like characters, titles and Background objects.
