a couple questions!!

- how many clans can a member be in?

- how many applicants are being accepted per clan this time around?

Members can be in as many clans as they'd like!

We are accepting members based on apps, not clans in particular. We are accepting a maximum of 20 new members, however are are being a bit pickier than past openings with applications this time around because of how much interest we have

Streamclan has the most interest thus far, but they also have the least amount of clan cats right now! So please, continue to apply for any clan, as we don't accept new members based on specific clans

Are you also open to medicine cat applications? Or just deputies?

Our medicine cats are a bit different! We call them medics. There is a head medic for each clan, which is considered hr and currently closed.

But, we also have specialized medics! They are not considered hr but are considered limited roles due to their importance. These are cats who assist the head medic but specialize in one of three categories:

Herbalist: growing and tending herbs, knowledge on what herbs do what, usually deals with stomach illness and assists the trauma medic with herbal knowledge

Trauma: serious injuries (like broken bones, open wounds, etc), usually on the battle field during a fight (or first to arrive to help the wounded), works with the herbalist to treat wounds

Caregiver: taking care of kits, elders, and expecting dams, also focuses on mental health, works with the herbalist

We recommend that everyone's application is for warriors only, but once in Lost Time, you can switch their role to a specialized medic! One of our new members did just this!

Hi there! I couldn’t find it anywhere while I was combing through the resources but I was wondering if there are clan beauty standards? Like what size cats with what color/pattern pelts are most common vs what’s seen as most attractive etc etc! Just wanted to know before picking a design for my character!

There is no official beauty standard, however I'll list the themes that most clans seem to fall under!

Pineclan: larger, longhaired breeds (Maine Coons, Siberians, etc). Usually tabby with darker (black, chocolate, red) or tortie coats. Very broad, large builds

Streamclan: long limbed, lankier breeds (Oriental Shorthairs and Longhairs, etc). Usually solid with black, chocolate, or blue coats. Very agile, slim builds made for running

Mossclan: smaller, more rounded breeds (Burmese, Abyssian, etc). Usually tabby or solid with earthier colours like chocolate, cinnamon, and lilac. Small in stature but body shape can be anything

Stoneclan: average build, common domestic cat appearance. Usually tabby or solid with redish colours, like red, cream, fawn, or tortie. Average in height but strong builds for climbing and jumping far distances

Keep in mind these aren't set in stone! You'll notice cats of all appearances in each clan (lots of cross clan kittens!), but these tend to be the most common themes for each clan!

We have had a lot of interest this time around, and have begun inviting new members who’s applications wowed us! Unfortunately due to the interest, we won’t be able to bring everyone who applied into Lost Time this application. If you are accepted, you will receive a friend request by Thursday (the 12th) from syd#2112!

Set within the wilderness of rocky mountain beauty, cats settled amid the past decade have come to enjoy clan life. Pineclan with their modern giants, Streamclan sporting suave tongues, Mossclan’s kind community oriented ways and Stoneclan hiding among the mountains themselves. Peace used to be scarce but with new leaders in place, new smooth paths have been born yet the questions remains.. for how long?

Recovering from a seasons long war, two cycles after the fact the clans were starved by a territory no longer able to support their numbers. Starclan has spoken: they must return to their origins beside the lake, where a fire had swept them out of their rightful home. As they take a second Journey across the mountains and pick up new faces as they go, the older generations must face the changes that the fire brought and the newer come to learn their history head on.

A new medic system in place, high ranks needing fresh faces, and a threat looming in the dark, the possibilities are endless. Will you be the one to fill these paws?

Already know I’m on a time limit but needed to ask.

I’m making a character that doesn’t talk much due to a throat injury as a kitten.

Would the clans have some form of sign language (tail signals aside)? Specifically Mossclan?

The clans do have a form of sign language! There are a pawful of deaf or mute characters who utilize sign language, and majority of the clan cats have been taught or learned how to communicate using sign language! We don’t have an official doc/guideline, but we use paw/tail/facial movements as well as symbols written/drawn in dirt/sand. We are always open to more ideas regarding this!

what's the update on the deputy applications? how many have you gotten? can new members apply?

Our new deputies have been decided! We weren't getting much interest in deputy slots so we allowed the leaders to pick today! However, we do have specialized medic roles open if anyone was interested in a limited role! (Not considered HR but still considered limited!)

Hi! I wanted to apply with a cat who is halfclan but doesn’t know she’s halfclan, is that okay? And if so which clans do you think would work best? :)

That's more than allowed! Halfclan relationships are up to the leaders, however are not banned in any clan! Mossclan and Stoneclan are the most open to cross clan relationships, with Streamclan being closest behind and Pineclan being a bit more stickler for cross clan relations. The most likely pairing for halfclan kits would be a Stoneclan and Mossclan cross-clan pairing! There is option for any of the clans, however this would be the most likely (with any Pineclan cross-clan being the least likely)! I hope this helps!

how many In character years has gone by since the start of the group?

We have played out almost 4 full in character years. However with the end of Arc 2, we are doing a 2 year timeskip in order to adjust to the incoming changes that LT will have (including territory, plot, and clan ranks/roles)! This timeskip is in affect prior to new members joining, so all ages and cats that can be seen in the allegiances is accurate to where we will start off Arc 3!

what are the rules on relationships and age gaps?

There are no restrictions on relationships, aside from some age gap guidelines that I will list below! So we don't have an actual rule on age-gaps, however we do have a few guidelines. It must be within reason, a cat who is significantly older than another shouldn't be perusing a romance and vice versa. Any cats who have seen another "grow up" cannot pursue a relationship, ie. a cat who was a warrior and around when another was a kit or training as an apprentice cannot enter a relationship together (within reason- if they were in the apprentice den together and the other just happened to be named a few moons before is of course allowed!) Overall, there is no rule, but a gap of 20+ moons will most likely be disapproved. The higher age-gaps in LT are usually 10-12 moons, so we like to try and keep it around there or less.

what mutations are we allowed to apply with? it says the info would be in your discord channel so im not sure.

My apologies! So mutations with no limit that may be applied with/used include:

- Polydactyl

- Bobbed Tail

- Curled Ears

- Folded Ears

- Manx/Tailless

- Heterochromia

- Intersex

We ask that characters only have one of the above, however we may approve a cat with 2!

are we allowed to apply with a apprentice?

Unfortunately apprentice slots are closed for new member apps, however we currently have an incentive for current members offering out apprentice slots. If not all slots are filled (which they won’t be it seems, only 3/12 are taken thus far), they will go to new members on a FCFS basis!

how many members do you guys have? and is there a activity checks?

Due to the nature of spring (school finals, midterms, and overall busy schedules), we currently have 11 active members, 1 on hiatus, and 6 spectators. We do monthly or bi-monthly activity checks. HR characters are expected to be more engaged in the roleplay than regular characters, but we still like to see members posting at least once every month! However, we do offer the hiatus role with no limit of time so if a member needs to step away for a bit, they contact a mod and we get it all sorted!
