because for him to give all of his unfettered hope to nikki to fix things in the current time, he probably wouldn't like the knowledge of what the aureum vase actually gave to him and what he did

at first i didn't realize that was the new game intro and not just an intro to a new event

it makes sense storywise for us who already knew lore. though its odd timeline wise, as if it shouldve been a main quest or intro to a new quest. but it was just .. sudden. probably worse for those of us, still playing through the main quest (i still havent finished the aurosa dress bc i'm avoiding style battles 🫣)

but... new players are gonna be so confused if they keep the game without the earlier context. i heard that they do see ena but she's not even locked up??

i did think the intro of co-op was cute. other players are the nikkis of the other timelines. but kind of interesting because we know that there are timelines without nikki ever showing up based on giovanni literally being from one before he made his wish
