I love Shirakumo, as most of you might know. But the reason I love him the most is because the first thing he says upon coming through a window during a storm by using his quirk, the first thing we ever hear him say is:

“Woah there, Hizashi! Got yer hands all over Shouta, do you? Outrageous! Scandalous! Shameful! LEMME IN ON IT!”

And then he gets fully undressed because his clothes are wet, and uses his clouds to cover himself.

And then pulls a cat from his clouds.

Okay, so uh, going off of recent manga chapters… A very important and potentially angsty question came to mind.

Does uh, does Tomura know that Kurogiri is a nomu? Like, as we’ve seen, Tomura was basically raised by Kurogiri. He seems to listen to him and respect his opinion to a decent degree, even when he was a total brat. He doesn’t treat Kurogiri like he treats the other nomu, he seems to treat him like a person, abit in Tomura’s own way. 

So… does Tomura know that Kurogiri is a nomu? Made from some teenager’s dead body ages ago? That Kurogiri took care of him and protected him because that’s what he was made to do? Or did he think, maybe even still thinks, that Kurogiri was an independent person who at least some what cared for Tomura of his own free will?

I mean, from what we’ve seen, Kurogiri was likely the only kind/good parental influence in Tomura’s life for a long time, particularly when he had no memories of his mother. Can you imagine finding out that the only person you thought loved you, quite possibly the only person that Tomura ever really trusted, was just a puppet the entire time? God, that’d be soul shattering.

Even more so, what if Aizawa and/or Mic face off against Tomura at some point, assuming that he knows, and try to confront him about it, only for him to get confused. Looking at them like they’re crazy and asking what the fuck they’re talking about, Kurogiri’s not a nomu, geez, what drugs are heroes on now-a-days. That’s when it hits them that he doesn’t know, he doesn’t know that the person who took care of him for most of his life, who practically raises him, and who, even in jail was still worried about him first and foremost, is really just AFO’s creation. Caring about Tomura because he was made to.

I wonder if they’d tell him? How do you even break that to someone, an enemy no less? If they’d been assuming up until this point that he knew, I’m sure both of them would have some level of rage towards Tomura, for “stealing” their childhood friend and ultimately being the reason that he was turned into a nomu, but to then have that image shattered as they realize that Tomura not only didn’t have any say in it, but had no idea? God. That’d be super interesting to explore.
