Kris told Papryus to make the fountain in the Library

This is going to have a lot of stuff extrapolated from parallels from undertale.

In undertale, Flowey does a lot of stuff in the background to prepare and plan for stuff, like putting stuff in motion and making plans.

Flowey also does a lot of persuading Papyrus to help with their plans. Hell, most plans that Flowey does revolves around Papryus and him talking with others to move people to where Flowey wants them to go, Flowey manipulates Papryus alot in Undertale.

Now lets go to Deltarune.

Kris has a fukin lot of parallels to Flowey, and for me, they have a lot of planning they are doing. With plugging in the tv, slashing Toriels Tiers, but thats only the things that we can easily see.

In chapter 1, we are initially led to believe that Kris, in between chapters, ate the Pie that Toriel made.

But later in chapter 2, Kris sleeps entirely through class, even Alphys comments on it.

Kris possibly did way more than just eating the pie if they lost so much sleep they had to sleep in class.

Then in chapter 2, an easy to miss detail when Kris rips out their heart in the bathroom is that the pie goes from unmade to almost done when Kris gets back, that is at least 40 minutes.

So, Kris is doing a lot of planning in the background, and i have a feeling from parallels that they are talking to a specific skeleton in particular, and making sure that the player is unaware of it.

Kris, just like Flowey, is doing a whole bunch of manipulating and talking to Papryus, and Kris will have told Papryus to make the fountain in the library.

There is also the fact that in chapter 2, Kris was out for way longer, (Toriel states to Susie that Kris does this sometimes so it has been done many times before.) and Toriel has a hard time getting a hold of the police, and the police never arrive either. Kris could have possibly caused a lot of problems in Hometown, or they could have gotten Papryus to do it themselves. Kris could have been doing a lot of planning and scheming with Papryus aswell.

Because if the police got involved, Kris would not have been able to make a dark fountain with the exact circumstances they wanted. With Toriel and Suzie in there both asleep.

Also, im gonna be real and state that i do not think that Kris or Papryus made the fountain in the Closet, that was most likely Gerson who made the Closet one because that darkworld looked extremely abandoned and decayed when we first visited it, like whoever made it abandoned it. The abandoned classroom could be Kris or Papryus.

Anyways, to summarize. Kris is manipulating Papryus offscreen for whatever plans they have. Just like how Flowey manipulated Papryus for all their plans.
